In the era of advanced technology, students as well as teachers are more demanding innovative university campus life. Technologies like IoT and Cloud computing can provide solutions for smart and a sustainable campus toupgrade manual/traditional methods and improve the efficiency of everyday activities in the Institution. For example, automated attendance system used to track students who are not regular or skip theirclasses, send alerts to parents and students helps to concentrate academic work regularly and it also reduces the stress of parents. It also monitors the COVID-19 Protocol. Hence, the purpose of the paper is to introduce a system of automation to monitor various activities in a classroom and to keep a track of the activities hence making it globally accessible using IoT and cloud features so that any responsible authority can access the data for meaningful insight. © 2024 IEEE.

The growing adoption of bank automation technologies is bringing about a transformational shift in the global financial sector. The banking industry is seeing significant changes in traditional roles and duties due to the growing integration of modern automation techniques such as robotic assistance, artificial intelligence (AI), and process automation by banking institutions. The rise of new job profiles such as AI data scientists, AI analysts, and robotics process automation specialists shows how the nature of work in the banking industry and the entire financial sector seems to be evolving. The increasing need for technical abilities has led to a greater focus on acquiring and developing a workforce with a distinct combination of technology proficiency and domain understanding. This paper investigated the extent to which the adoption of bank automation is a key determinant of the changing nature of work from a banking industry's perspective. Hence, a hypothetical path was developed to answer the following research question: How is adopting automation changing the nature of work in the banking industry? To answer this question, we considered the five largest banking institutions in South Africa. The findings revealed the paramount transformative changes that occur every time automation technologies are implemented.

Intelligent surveillance robots dominate the entire world with its efficiency and accuracy helping in performing dangerous *** surveillance robot helps to survey the area. The violence keeps on growing day by *** paper presents an intelligent surveillance robot capable of detecting and preventing violence in two modes - motion-controlled and autonomous. The motion-controlled mode allows the user to manually control the robot's movement and camera orientation, while the autonomous mode allows the robot to navigate and monitor the environment independently. In both modes, the robot employs a deep learning algorithm taken from CNN and LSTM for accurately detecting violence and sending a notification through email with the image of the violent *** a authenticated dataset, the proposed concept has been examined, the outcomes looks promising in regards to accuracy and *** integration of motion control and autonomous operation modes makes the surveillance robot versatile and effective in a range of surveillance scenarios. Overall, this project demonstrates the potential of machine learning and robotics for enhancing security and surveillance measures. © 2023 IEEE.

A SIBY Solvents Extraction Private Limited (Soap Oil factory) located near Chinna Salem has a major problem in Pelletizer control. This problem mainly depends on load control like handling coal and other raw materials by the *** embedded system based design consists of a controller which is used to measure the current and voltage rating for the Pelletizer. Based on the above parameters the power of the motors can be calculated simultaneously. The solution of the problem is solved by setting the lower limit and upper limit of current value for the motor. If the motor current is greater than set value the contactor, will cut the power supply to the motor. If the motor current less than set value it generates the on signal to the motor. In addition with that the on time and off time of the motor will be stored to the controller for the future reference. IoT based Monitoring is implemented here. The workers from the industry can't control the pelletizer within in a time due to its control panel distance and lack of language communication. © 2025 IEEE.

The main objective of connected vehicles is to significantly improve safety for travel participants and nearby people. Cooperative Driving automation denotes the set of autonomous applications requiring cooperation among connected vehicles, including those with driving automation features engaged. As the operational purpose of the cooperation depends on the application class and the level of driving automation, it follows that the communication strategies and, therefore, the design principles of the human-machine interfaces of participating vehicles must change as well. However, the literature is missing a standardized and coherent strategy for the design and implementation of these interfaces, which may have undesirable impacts on the risk reduction profile of cooperative applications. This paper wants to be a first step in the definition of suitable design principles for such interfaces. We contribute an overview of related solutions providing a selection of relevant works, and we synthesize a set of fundamental human-machine interface design principles for safety-related cooperative applications, hypothesizing an inverse relationship between the level of driving automation and the need for active approaches to maximise the safety of connected vehicles and nearby road users.

Economic growth and the rapid expansion of e-commerce globally are driving the increasing demand for smart warehouses with advanced inventory management systems. The integration of IoT with aerial drone-based inventory mapping has recently emerged as a pivotal development, offering safer and faster access to inventory across various warehouse scales. This study introduces a semi-automated inventory management methodology within warehouse settings, leveraging the synergy of Raspberry Pi, Pixhawk flight controllers, and an array of sensors. The proposed system captures and transmits real-time data using AI and networking technologies, empowering with SOM, warehouse managers to optimize inventory tracking and storage conditions. By recognizing the essential role of human engagement, this study bridges the gap between cutting-edge technology and human expertise, fostering a collaborative and efficient warehouse environment.

This study investigates the effectiveness of various object identification models for dental diagnostics using Orthopantomograms (OPGs). A custom dataset was created specifically for dental image analysis, and the performance of several contemporary models was compared, including YOLOv5, YOLOv8, and multiple models built on the Detectron2 *** findings reveal trade-offs between different models in terms of computing efficiency, false negative rate, total loss, and classification accuracy. These trade-offs are crucial considerations for researchers when selecting a model for a specific application in dental diagnostics. Notably, Faster R-CNN R50 FPN 3x achieved a balance between classification accuracy and data processing speed, while Mask R-CNN R50 DCS 3x demonstrated superior foreground classification accuracy despite a higher overall loss. Additionally, RPN R50 C4 emerged as the model with the fastest processing time. These results highlight the importance of tailoring model selection to the specific requirements of dental diagnostic *** study is significant because it examines the success rate of advanced deep learning models in dental diagnostics, it could result in automated and precise detection of dental issues, benefiting patient care and minimizing manual workload for dental practitioners. © 2024 IEEE.

One of the most important methods for helping deaf-mute persons communicate with is the detecting the hand gesture of deaf and mute community people. A sign language detection system tracks and recognizes the meaningful expressions of humans-made with their heads, arms, hands, fingers, etc. In this paper, we propose YOLO (You Only Look Once) based sign recognition method, focus on improving the traditional sign language recognition accuracy. The proposed system uses a camera to capture images of person hand gesture, then annotate the collected image with bounding boxes around the hand gesture and then processing of image frame is done by Roboflow [1] to detect and recognize the hand gestures. Hand gestures are then further classified and mapped to corresponding words and phrases in sign language using algorithms. Since there have been many existing sign language recognition systems which are designed using convolutional neural network, algorithms but they are not real-time detector. In this paper, we focused to create a real-time detection of hand gestures using a webcam. Even with a small dataset size, the system achieves a good degree of accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.
