Asynchronous signals in synthetic gene networks can result in fault outputs and system failure. To address this challenge and meet the growing demands for user-defined control in biomedical applications, this paper proposes a clock signal to integrate input signals and generate a synchronized output. The clock signal utilizes an incoherent type-1 feedforward loop (I1-FFL) network, which exhibits stable behavior and enhanced response speed, as shown through mathematical models and simulations. Our proposed biological clock serves as a promising solution for synchronizing asynchronous inputs in synthetic gene networks, enabling temporal control over gene expression dynamics, and providing a timing reference for multi-input systems in various applications.

The UPIN project tackles the security issue of the Internet at its root, by providing more transparency and control over the network to the end user. Traffic Engineering is required to create paths across multiple domains following constraints set by the user. We present here the feasibility of using the Path Computation Element communication Protocol Secure (PCEPS) to accomplish the goal of traffic steering hence control - across multiple domains. Specifically, we leverage on IPv4 Segment Routing (SR) and a modified version of the Netphony Path Computation Element (PCE) to build a multi domain Label Switched Path (LSP) according to a user's request. In this paper, the distributed formation control problem for unmanned surface vessels (USVs) with sensing range and communication resource constraints is investigated. An edge-event triggered sliding mode controller is developed to achieve formation-keeping maneuver. Firstly, in order to preserve the prescribed communication connectivity, a combination of artificial potential function technique and the sliding mode surface is adopted in controller design process. Subsequently, considering the limited communication resource, the edge-event triggered control method is introduced to design triggering condition related to the information of every edge. Different from the traditional node-based event-triggered control mechanism, each member only transmits its state information to its out-neighbours asynchronously once the edge between them is triggered, such that the communication cost can be further reduced. The theoretical results exhibit that all signals in the closed-loop system are bounded. Eventually, by resorting to numerical simulations, the validity of the proposed controller is demonstrated.

To enable interoperable interaction with those platforms, we present a home automation system based on open standards enabling IoT peer-to-peer communications. Only relying on a single satellite cannot ensure the wide coverage, low delay, and high communication quality at the same time. Thus, a novel cooperative two-layer satellite network architecture is proposed in this paper. In the proposed architecture, the centralized unit (CU) control plane that does not require high real-time performance is deployed on the geosynchronous earth orbit satellite, while the CU-user plane and the distributed unit that require low delay and high capacity are deployed on the low earth orbit (LEO) satellite closer to user equipment (UE). The proposed architecture cooperates with the conventional terrestrial communication system to provide large-coverage and high-reliability services for UE. In addition, four mobility management scenarios of the proposed cooperative two-layer satellite network architecture are investigated. And for each scenario, a corresponding handover approach is proposed to ensure the continuity of UE services, and the corresponding signaling overhead is analyzed. Results show that the proposed approach can greatly reduce the signaling overhead compared with the conventional scheme.

The proliferation of connected devices is driving technological advancement. The Internet of Things is made up of commonplace objects that have been embedded with software, sensors, and electronics as well as linked to a network. Because of this, all of these items can communicate with one other and exchange data. This article details our efforts to create an IoT Powered Industrial automation ( IoTIA) system that can autonomously keep tabs on various industrial applications, either by sounding alerts or making smart choices based on data collected from the Internet of Things. To assess the efficacy of the suggested method, it is cross-validated with the traditional GSM-based model known as GSM-based Industrial automation (GSMIA). We now have a potential method to construct robust industrial systems and applications through the Internet of Things, which makes use of sensors, Android, and wireless devices. This paper's primary contribution is a synopsis of the Internet of Things applications in AI-powered industry monitoring and control systems. An overview of relevant research is also provided, as is a synopsis of some of the most important Internet of Things problems raised in recent publications. We also highlight the need of improving the horizontal integration of IoT services. In the end, we show comprehensive service use-cases to show how all the protocols discussed in the article work together to provide the Internet of Things services that people want.
