This research studies the dynamic frequency adjustment and task dispatching problems for cloud computing systems under user demand uncertainties. The objective of the research is to minimize energy consumption and waiting costs. A dynamic programming model is presented to minimize total costs by adjusting CPU frequency dynamically. In this model, we implement real-time job dispatching based on the current state. With the objective of minimizing the total waiting time for tasks. Additionally, the model employs a stochastic process to accurately estimate the transition probability between various events. Backward induction is used to solve the model and make the optimal decision for the different states. Compared with other control methods from the literature, our numerical results show that the proposed method reduces total energy and waiting costs. The improvement is particularly significant when cloud servers and tasks have higher heterogeneity. This approach provides a comprehensive solution to the challenges of cloud computing, balancing performance and cost efficiency.

Environments for the simulation and testing of automation play an important role in developing new robots and machine architectures. This paper presents a design and automation environment to study the control trajectory for new Cable-Driven Parallel Robot (CDPR) architectures, for instance, CDPRs with an unusual number of cables or different motor locations in the robot frame. In order to test the environment capabilities, an architecture of a planar under-constrained CDPR was designed, simulated, and implemented using standard industrial hardware. Both the simulated model and industrial prototype were running the same trajectories to determine the time delay and the error position between them. The tests have demonstrated that the simulated model of the CDPR reproduces the trajectories of the equivalent industrial prototype with a maximum deviation of 0.35% under loading and different speed conditions, despite the time delays produced by the data transmission and the non-deterministic communication protocols used to connect the industrial automationcontroller with the simulated model. The results have shown that the environment is suitable for trajectory control and workspace analysis of new CDPR architectures under different dynamic conditions.
