This research study focuses on the application of modern day technologies like Internet of Things (IoT) in the field of Home automation and aims to improvise the traditional boiling process of Fluids. Many times in industries as well as our homes, there exists a common problem of overheating and overflowing of fluids due to inefficient manual management of heating of fluids. To find a smart and durable approach as a solution to our problem, we made an attempt to design a smart system which would incorporate new-age technologies like IoT and Firebase Database. The proposed system architecture integrates a DS18B20 temperature sensor for precise temperature measurement and an ESP32 microcontroller for data processing and communication. The temperature data is sent to the Real-time Firebase database, which is then fetched into the dashboard for getting instant information. A dedicated application is designed with user friendly design so as to make this solution easily accessible for the masses. Instead of relying on traditional methods of temperature monitoring, the system utilizes Firebase Realtime Database as a custom cloud solution for storing and retrieving temperature data. A Linear Regression model was employed on the dataset to predict the boiling temperature of the fluid under consideration. This would make the prototype product more robust and predict the boiling temperature on its own through data-driven decisions. Thus this a prototype of the product IoT Based Smart Boiling detector, designed to serve a possible and durable solution to the problem.

In fields like robotics and factory automation (FA), an ultra-low delay vision system has emerged as a critical tool. This system processes videos at an astonishing 1000 frames per second (fps), with each frame being processed within 1 millisecond (1-ms). Camera pose estimation plays a crucial role by providing real-time and accurate spatial information, enabling rapid response and precise control of production processes in such systems. Existing works mainly focus on general purpose use (60fps) while less of the focus on specific use (1000fps). This paper proposed an ultra-low delay camera pose estimation method designed to meet the stringent requirements of modern FA systems. The spatial constrained and candidate expanded parallel matching is proposed for accelerating 3D-2D matching process. Spatial constrain utilizes the tiny movements between adjacent frames to shrink the search range to decrease the probability of matching conflicts. And candidate expansion increases the candidate matching points to guarantee the quality of matching between 2D and 3D spaces, which increases parallelism and enhances efficiency of the 3D-2D matching process. Experiments are conducted using a 1000 fps camera with resolution of 640 x 360 . The proposed method demonstrated robust performance across horizontal, vertical, and random camera movements, achieving an average Relative Pose Error (RPE) of 0.5 cm for translation and 0.4 degrees for rotation respectively.

Distributed microservice applications require a convenient means of controlling L7 communication between services. Service meshes have emerged as a popular approach to achieving this. However, current service mesh frameworks are difficult to use - they burden developers in realizing even simple communication policies, lack compatibility with diverse dataplanes, and introduce performance and resource overheads. We identify the root causes of these drawbacks and propose a ground-up new mesh architecture that overcomes them. We develop novel abstractions for mesh communication, a new mesh policy language centered on these abstractions to enable expressive policies, and a novel control plane that enables using minimal dataplane resources for policy enforcement. We develop the precise semantics of our language abstractions and demonstrate how our control plane can use them to execute policies correctly and optimally. We build and evaluate a prototype on realistic workloads and policies and open-source production traces. Our results show that complex policies can be specified in up to 6.75x fewer lines, enforced with up to 2.6x smaller tail latencies and up to 39% fewer CPU resources than today.
