In this work a performance investigation of the modified Direct Torque control based on Space Vector Modulation (DTC-SVM) control algorithm has been performed. The investigation process was accomplished by comparing the performance of this algorithm by two methods for tuning the parameters of its controllers. In the first method, the parameters of the Proportional Integral (PI) controllers were tuned by trial and error. The second method was to utilizes the Dragonfly optimization method (DF) for tuning these parameters. The DTC- SVM supplies a desired switching pulses to the 3-phase 3-level Flying Capacitor Inverter (TLFCI). The concerned inverter drives a 3-phase induction motor to achieve the desired speed and to reduce the ripples of the flux and torque. The DTC-SVM control and the DF algorithms are implemented using MATLAB/Simulink program. The simulation process is carried out for verifying the performance of these two control systems. With the DTC-SVM based on DF, the optimization process is accomplished firstly to extract the PIs parameters. These extracted parameters were employed in the DTC-SVM control system. Simulation results show an acceptable performance for the control systems with the DTC-SVM based on DF being the best in reducing torque ripples.

In the proposed system, we are considering some threshold distance when the sensor finds any object within this distance using IOT technologies and when other roads are empty then it will switch on the green light otherwise it will switch off the light. This proposed system is helpful for the users during the non-peak hours and also saves the power during non-peak hours as in India most of the vehicles will be there during peak hours so there is lot of power wastage happens because of the current signal system.

IEC 61850 is the new standard for substation automation. One of the IEC 61850 communication services, designed specifically for protection within the substation automation system is GOOSE messaging. GOOSE messaging is a peer to peer communication protocol aiming to satisfy the stringent communication requirements within protection systems operating over the Ethernet communication framework. One of the on-going research topics in this area is extending capabilities of IEC 61850 to represent control logic by combining it with component software architecture of the IEC 61499 standard. The Intelligent Logical Nodes (iLN) architecture is one such solution which combines the two standards. This development led to the need to implement communication services of IEC 61850 by means of IEC 61499. This paper presents such an implementation of IEC 61850 GOOSE messaging using IEC 61499 Service Interface Function Blocks implemented by means of the WinPCap library.

In EI environments, agreement among multiple computers is essential for power generation, transmission, distribution, and consumption etc. applications. Coordinated control and security protection play important roles in the application of a distributed computing environment. A consensus approach can provide fault tolerance and prevent system errors and attacks, thereby providing the system with strong security in distributed computing environment. In this paper, we investigate the reactive control synthesis problem for discrete-time dynamic systems under signal temporal logic (STL) specifications. Our focus is on addressing this problem within the model predictive control (MPC) framework, which involves iteratively solving optimization problems at each time instant. Traditional MPC controllers for STL tasks necessitate sampling the system state at every time instant. To mitigate sensing costs and conserve communication bandwidth during sensor measurement transmission, we introduce a novel concept termed self-triggered MPC for STL tasks. Our proposed approach aims to reduce the overall sampling rate of the system, resulting in considerable energy savings. We provide case studies to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
