This study is about the action taken to reduce the risk or impact of a "zero-day vulnerability" (flaw or weakness in a software that is unknown to the makers or the public but that can be exploited by attackers). This study helps to analyze the exploits in a software to prevent cyberattacks. This study evaluates the performance of SVM and Autoencoder to classify the "zero-day vulnerability" dataset. SVM classifier got an accuracy of 94.9%, precision and recall values of 20.83% and 30%, f1-score at 23% and specificity of 94%. Whereas, autoencoder got an accuracy of 81.6%, precision and recall values of 21% and 28%, f1-score at 21.05% and specificity of 81%. According to the achieved values, SVM provides better accuracy than autoencoder in analyzing the dataset.

The rapid expansion of web-based services has brought along an increase in the risks associated with malicious URLs. Conventional detection mechanisms often rely on predefined features, which may not effectively capture the dynamic nature of modern cyber threats. This paper introduces a Dynamic Anomaly Detection Framework (DADF) for identifying malicious URLs by integrating clustering algorithms with behavioral pattern analysis. The proposed system dynamically detects deviations from normal URL behavior within clusters, allowing for the identification of new and evolving threats. Experimental results show that DADF surpasses traditional machine learning models like Support Vector Machines (SVM) and Logistic Regression in terms of detection accuracy and adaptability.

Smart buildings, especially Grid-interactive Efficient Buildings (GEBs), suffer from cyber-attacks and physical faults due to the integration of a large number of sensors and controls, connected devices, and associated communication networks. This study demonstrated a real-time advanced building resilient platform, called CYber Defense and REsilient System (CYDRES), which is deployable for existing and emerging Building automation Systems (BASs). CYDRES aims to empower GEBs with cyber-attack-immune capabilities through multi-layer prevention and adaptation mechanisms to monitor, detect, and respond to cyber-attacks and physical operational faults. This study presents the design and analysis of a metasurface-integrated antenna operating at 5.8 GHz. The proposed structure is built on a polyimide substrate and employs microstrip edge feeding. The dimension of the proposed antenna measured 20 mm × 16 mm 0.508 mm. A novel metasurface unit cell is designed and ×optimized to achieve double-negative characteristics within the operating band. The antenna demonstrates a gain of 7.63 dBi and a directivity of 8.22 dBi. Additionally, SAR analysis reveals a specific absorption rate of 0.769 W/kg for 10g of tissue. With enhanced gain and reduced SAR, the proposed antenna is highly applicable for Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) applications.
