In this study, we propose a Virtual Machine (VM) migration control method that improves accuracy (i.e., degree of progress in processing) by limiting the range of VM migration to the nearby client terminals in terms of communication latency in a multi-stage information processing system. Conventional VM migration control methods do not optimize the communication latency between the VM and the terminal, and especially in large areas, the accuracy will decrease due to increased latency. As a specific method of the proposed method, a group is formed with edge servers that are close in terms of latency, and VM migration is performed locally within the group. The evaluation results show that the proposed method improved the sum of accuracy by 35%.
