A comprehensive study of Static Segmented Multipliers with inner approximation is presented in this research, including both signed and unsigned variations. The paper presents a unique segmentation strategy designed for unsigned multipliers to improve performance optimization. An efficient error-correcting mechanism has also been created to reduce hardware costs and eliminate approximation mistakes. The suggested correction approach results in SSMs having beneficial properties compared to current approximation multipliers. This is especially obvious in power usage vs tradeoff graphs of Normalized Mean Error Distance and Mean Relative Error Distance. Comparing the inner approximation SSMs to traditional techniques, the former shows reduced power and area usage. Moreover, real-world application experiments in classification and image processing confirm that SSMs are appropriate for jobs requiring error tolerance. The paper highlights the potential of Static Segmented Multipliers with inner approximation as dependable and effective computational solutions for digital circuits, providing a fair compromise between hardware prices, power efficiency, and error performance.

The advancement of communication and information technology has facilitated the creation of the Internet of Things (IoT). Today, IoT plays a crucial role in tracking, recording, storing, displaying, and communicating data across various fields such as healthcare, smart cities, engineering, and more. This paper introduces a smart system designed for nursing staff in hospital wards, utilizing smart devices (STM32) with wireless capabilities and an ESP8266 WiFi communication module. These devices register and log in to the public cloud via a broadband network. The system integrates various sensors to detect light and humidity levels in the ward and includes a flame alarm function. It also controls small lamps and fans through infrared remote control and mobile phone. Additionally, the system monitors patients' heart rates and simulates blood pressure. Using the ESP8266's MQTT protocol, it uploads various data to the Alibaba Cloud platform for display. Users can observe this data through their mobile phones and send control instructions. The system also pushes notifications through DingTalk. The design and implementation of this system will enhance the efficiency and security of nursing work in hospital wards.

Edge computing gateway automation system is integrated in edge computing gateway. One of the main functions of edge computing system is to connect industrial instruments and communication equipment in the process of industrial production. It provides real-time data monitoring and analysis, and initiates responses to predetermined logical events. The operation process includes separating and designing different processes in a certain order. The production and processing process is susceptible to problems such as long production and processing cycles, multiple types of monitoring data, large amounts of processing data, and data vulnerability to external interference, which leads to inaccurate and unsynchronized data. Based on this, this article investigated the analysis of data processing systems based on cloud computing, focusing on analyzing the system architecture and processing, and elaborating the design of data collectors. Then, this article analyzed the efficiency of AI (artificial intelligence) automatic control system and data processing unit. This article discussed the application of AI in collecting and processing data, the composition of the data management module of AI automatic control system, and the data processing in the data module of AI automatic control system. This paper also described the construction method and process of the automatic control system of edge computing gateway, and discussed from the following aspects: data preprocessing module, data classification processing module, data accumulation analysis module, automatic control algorithm logic module, and instruction execution control module.
