The VLSI attained incredible growth from the 1980s in all areas, especially after the invention of ARTIX-7 Low voltage FPGA, which is mainly designed for biomedical applications. This paper focuses on one of the leading global causes of illness. Heart disease contributes to a large number of demise in the world. This life saving biomedical application concentrates on the heart arrhythmia detection of different heart disease. This heart arrhythmia detection is implemented in FPGA using Verilog code for Convolutional Neural Network architecture in Vivado and Modelsim. This paper devises a methodology to detect three types of abnormal cardiac signals. © 2023 IEEE.

There has been upsurge in the demand of lettuce and green vegetables. However, increase in the cost of production and lagging in off-season traditional farming have been prime issues to meet the demand in the local markets. Likewise, degraded quality of the land, and frequent disease outbreak are the major problems for farmers. These issues can be addressed by employing technology in agriculture which increases the harvest through continuous monitoring and evaluation of various parameters such as nutrients, temperature, pH, electrical conductivity (EC), humidity and diseases, etc. Internet of Things (IoT) in hydroponic lettuce farming is crucial for precision farming, resource optimization, and environmental sustainability by providing proactive disease management and enabling cultivation in adverse environmental conditions. In this paper, we propose a pragmatic approach of IoT-based automation and monitoring in hydroponics farming of lettuce. The experiment was conducted in a closed hydroponics farm at a corner of the university to monitor and visualize different parameters both on site and remotely. Also, pH and EC of the farm was controlled so that the values of both pH and EC lie within the prescribed limit. It demonstrates the viability of cost-effective hydroponic lettuce farming in urban and remote areas by showcasing its ability to efficiently utilize limited space, resources, and climatic conditions. © 2024 IEEE.

Radio Frequency identity (RFID) is a rising technology that uses radio waves to become aware of and tune gadgets. With advances in hardware and software, RFID technology gives many blessings to agencies by means of growing facts accuracy, improving asset tracking, inventory management, and different procedure automation. However, no matter the diverse blessings it could provide, there are several challenges that businesses have to consider while implementing the RFID era. Those demanding situations encompass capability security and privacy worries, technical complexity, price, and interference from other RF indicators. To capitalize on the advantages of RFID, agencies must carefully weigh the advantages against the potential risks to decide the end goals and whether RFID is the most viable solution. © 2024 IEEE.

With the large-scale development of the power internet of things (PIoT), the demand for data collection and processing is also increasing rapidly. Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) is the key to problem-solving. In this paper, we consider ISAC devices capable of simultaneously sensing multiple targets and offloading the collected sensing data to mobile edge servers (MEC) for edge computing. To this end, we propose a joint optimization problem that maximizes the total computation rate by optimizing radar sensing beamforming, offloading transmission beamforming, and computation rate. Due to the coupling of variables, the optimization problem becomes non-convex. To address this, we perform quadratic transformations on non-convex constraints and introduce residuals to improve the convergence speed of the algorithm. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm achieves higher computation rate compared to baseline algorithms.

Underwater robots known as Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) have become a key element in ocean exploration and various sectors, such as marine science, underwater surveying and defense technology. In domestic research and development efforts for underwater robots, a number of research efforts have been carried out, including the development of ROVs equipped with sensors to measure specific variables such as using the MS5803-14 pressure sensor to determine water depth. Currently, ROV movement control often uses Fuzzy Logic controllers and proportional-integral-derivative (PID) methods, but ROV movement is still limited and difficult to control so that it remains stable in one place. This research aims to improve ROV navigation accuracy and ensure instructions are fulfilled. To achieve this goal, researchers designed a Raspberry Pi-based ROV that is integrated with the LabVIEW interface with the MQTT protocol as data communication between raspberry pi and LabVIEW. ROV depth control uses a dynamic diving system with a Brushless DC motor and PID control. The LabVIEW interface is used to change parameters and monitor the system during underwater ROV operation, achieving 97.06% depth measurement accuracy and 87.7% pressure sensor accuracy for navigating vertical position, resulting in an overall accuracy of 92.38%. PID simulations showed that the optimal tuning of Kp=1.5, Ki=0.8, and Kd=0.4. ©2024 IEEE.

Thanks to the recent rapid development of 5G technology, multimedia communication services, such as live streaming and short movies, have attracted a lot of attention and are now a big component of people's daily social contacts. However, the growing demand for multimedia communication creates new challenges for the wireless network's processing and transmission capabilities. Many believe that mobile edge computing (MEC) offers a possible solution to the problems listed above. A potential answer to capacity and performance issues in aging systems, such as Mobile Cloud computing (MCC), has been identified as Mobile Edge computing. In this study, we focus on task scheduling in a resource-constrained MEC network, where a number of base stations (BS), each with a MEC server, help a number of latency-sensitive user equipments (UEs) with their computation. By carefully planning the task scheduling between UEs and BSs, we hope to simultaneously reduce the system's consumption energy and increase the number of offloaded tasks. In the IoT space, computation offloading is growing in popularity. Individual devices cannot meet the massive demand for computational resources. These days, several quantified QoS targets, including time, cost, energy, and bandwidth, are optimized to meet this issue. A thorough explanation of the numerous works that are planned to address the aforementioned problems is provided in this work. © Grenze Scientific Society, 2024.

Automated guided vehicles (AGVs) have emerged as crucial equipment in sectors that demand reliable and effective transportation and material handling systems. The design and control features of AGV systems are discussed in general terms in this study, with an emphasis on important factors and recent developments. The vehicle platform, sensing and perception systems, navigational algorithms, and control architecture are all essential parts of the design of an AGV system. To fit the application's unique requirements, the vehicle platform must be properly developed, taking into account elements like load capacity, maneuverability, and power supply. The AGV can sense its surroundings and maneuver on its own thanks to the choice and integration of sensors including LiDAR, cameras, and encoders. Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), one of the most sophisticated perception algorithms, is essential for precisely mapping the environment and locating the AGV within it. Because of navigation algorithms, AGVs can efficiently plan their routes, avoid dangers, and reach their targets. Methods for establishing a path enable smooth, collision-free travel by accounting for factors including distance, time, and dynamic restrictions. Real-time control systems regulate the AGV's speed, acceleration, and steering, enabling accurate and secure operation in a variety of situations. The controls design should enable monitoring of the system and detection of problems in along with enabling integration of perception, navigating, and control modules. This paper examines the mechanical and electrical design of a test prototype autonomous guided vehicle (AGV). The SLAM technique apply in the present work successfully resolves the localization problem in conjunction with the navigation algorithm. © 2023 IEEE.

Industrial automation has become a cornerstone of modern manufacturing, enhancing efficiency, reliability, and scalability. The integration of intelligent control algorithms, such as fuzzy logic, neural networks, genetic algorithms, and model predictive control, has revolutionized traditional automation systems, enabling more adaptive, efficient, and robust operations. This paper explores the application and impact of these intelligent control techniques in industrial settings. It highlights how machine learning algorithms can predict equipment failures, optimize processes, and enhance decision-making in real-time. Case studies are presented to illustrate the benefits and challenges of deploying these algorithms across various automated systems, such as robotic assembly lines, process control in chemical plants, and smart warehousing. Furthermore, the paper discusses the integration of these algorithms with industrial IoT (IIoT) platforms, facilitating seamless communication and data exchange between machines and control systems. The research also addresses the challenges of implementing intelligent control, such as computational complexity, security concerns, and the need for real-time processing. Handling the system's nonlinearity is a challenging aspect for the controllers' design. The four-wheel independent steering, four-wheel independent drive (4WIS4WID) electrical vehicle (EV) composes of a pneumatic tire, motors and suspension system, which all are nonlinear. The classical controller is not a suitable choice for a nonlinear system. An autonomous electric vehicle's path-tracking control (PTC) has applications such as autonomous driving, where the vehicle needs to follow a pre-determined trajectory or navigate through a complex environment. The works of literature on path-tracking control schemes are sophisticated to implement on the 4WIS4WID EV. In this paper, the nonlinearity of the plant has been controlled by direct inverse control (DIC) using artificial neural networks (ANN). The use of ANN makes the PTC a simple and effective solution. The simulation results demonstrate the dual enhancement of tracking accuracy and vehicle stability by implementing the proposed controller. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper examines the role of communications software program design inside the success status quo and upkeep of green networking systems. For the reason of this research, communications software program design factors encompass the functions and abilities with which software is designed, consisting of communiqué protocol, first-rate of carrier, reliability, and scalability.
