For Load Frequency Control (LFC) studies in a two-area interconnected system with a redox flow battery, this work proposes an adaptive ANN-based (1 + PID) controller. Regulate frequency with this controller. The integrated two-area thermal-gas-hydro power systems are examined during LFC analysis. Two methods were used to decide the (1 + PID) controller's parameters. In the first case, the "OVPL (Opposition-learning-based Volleyball Premier League algorithm)"fine-tunes controller parameters. The OVPL created this strategy. In the second possibility, an ANN adjusts controller parameters. An OVPL-based (1 + PID) controller and an ANN-based (1 + PID) controller are used to study the dynamic behavior of the two system categories. The ANN-based (1 + PID) controller outperforms the OVPL-based controller. The suggested ANN-based (1 + PID) controller's stability is determined by the SLD (Step-change in Load Demand. © The Institution of engineering & technology 2023.

These days the usage of petrol has been increasing day by day. This study supports the tracking of fuel for any vehicle by using fuel monitoring system and also average speed of the vehicle, the amount of petrol that has been used, and/or refilled. The difference of fuel before and after the use will be calculated by sensors. The person who accesses the fuel tank of our vehicle will be captured using cam module with live location and the entire details will be stored in the cloud. We can get live updates by using gsm module (SMS) and telegram bot. Along with picture entire data will be stored in the cloud. An app (y connect) is used to monitor the entire activity except live tracking and fuel level monitoring, our prototype is used to overcome this problem the app consists of a travelling record from pin-to-pin location. By using this prototype, we can also reduce vehicle theft and we can track the vehicle. © The Institution of engineering & technology 2023.

Over the last several years, the IoT has made significant strides. In conventional IoTecosystems, sensors feed data onto fog devices, which then upload the data to theCloud. IoT is susceptible to threats to privacy and security because it lacks inherentsecurity safeguards. With its "security by design,"Blockchain (BC) may assist inmeeting the important security needs in IoT. Blockchain solutions may assist addressmost IoT architectural flaws by avoiding trusted third parties, protecting against asingle point of failure, and avoiding trusted third parties altogether. To protect againstpossible attacks and lower transaction costs, distributed IoT systems may be builtusing the blockchain's capabilities, such as decentralization, consensus mechanisms,data encryption, and smart contracts. The performance of IoT security might beimproved by using blockchain, a decentralized and open database *** have been motivated by this to look at blockchain adoption in the IoTecosystem. This study presents a survey on the integration of blockchain technologyfor security concerns with cloud, edge, and fog IoT systems. The interest of the power utilities in using distributed generation (DG) resources to generate electricity has increased in recent years due to development in renewable energy technology and changes in the infrastructures of electric utilities. These advantages rely on the features of DG units, including photovoltaic (PV), wind turbine, as well as the loads, regional renewable resources, and network layout. Renewable Sources (RS) provide power to the system near the load center, reducing distribution and transmission power losses, minimizing fossil fuel emissions and expenses, lowering maintenance costs, and improving voltage profiles on distribution feeders. This research demonstrates an effective technique for optimum sizing and location of renewable energy sources based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). The major goal is to reduce system power losses and preserve the voltage profile of the network buses while meeting all the IEEE 33 bus radial system constraints. Further three cases are considered of the system that renewable sources inject only real power into the system. The obtained results of all cases are compared, and best position of bus is found in IEEE-33 bus distribution radial system. © The Institution of engineering & technology 2023.

The present pandemic, which has been caused by the COVID-19 virus, is the most significant concern at the moment. In many different facets, artificial intelligence is playing a significant part in the process of developing solutions linked to COVID-19. Predicting positive instances from sample pictures like as chest X-rays or CT scans, for example, is one of the difficulties associated with working in this industry. This research proposes an innovative framework for predicting viral symptoms from chest X-ray images using the data collected. In place in this research Pre-processing of chest X-rays is performed by using several image pro-cessing methods. These approaches are then trained and evaluated by deep convolutional neural networks (DCNN). In contrast to the findings of previous study studies, the results of the experiments demonstrate a higher rate of recognition. © The Institution of engineering & technology 2023.

Blood cell images play a vital role in medical diagnosis and treatment. However, these images are often affected by noise during slide preparation or images acquisition. The presence of noise can lead to incorrect diagnosis and treatment. Furthermore, it may also affect the output of next image processing applications and can have an impact on the accuracy of results. The primary aim of this paper is to discuss different types of denoising and enhancement methods for blood microscopic images which enhance the visual quality of image by minimizing the noise and restoring the small details, such as texture, edges, corners and contrast. The research study of denoising and enhancement methods are based on the removal of Poisson noise present in blood microscopic images. The denoising and enhancement may assist the radiologists in diagnosis and disease prediction. The comparative study is evaluated on self-acquired datasets in terms of full reference, no reference and human visual system-based performance metrics. © The Institution of engineering & technology 2023.

Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer and a large contributor to cancer-related deaths in women worldwide. Early diagnosis of breast cancer significantly improves survivor rates. In order to diagnose breast cancer, this research study set out to construct a neural network model for the early detection of breast cancer as either benign or malignant. A reliable dataset, the Wisconsin Breast Cancer Dataset, was used to develop the algorithm. As a result, a dataset with only 30 features was created after several redundant characteristics were dropped. Initially, the dataset had 33 features, but only 30 features and 569 pertinent data points were used to assess the algorithm's performance. The findings demonstrated that the proposed artificial neural network model successfully detected breast cancer using the provided dataset, with an overall accuracy of 98.24% and a loss of 6.38%. These results imply that this algorithm could be useful for helping radiologists reliably and quickly discover breast cancer, which could ultimately result in early identification and better patient outcomes. © The Institution of engineering & technology 2023.

An electroencephalogram (EEG) specifies that the EEG signal capturing the brain's electrical action by positioning the metal electrode over the scalp is undergoing continuous transformation. By generating the electric drifts, the neuronal cells communicate instantly with all others and remain alert, even if they rest or sleep. Epilepsy is defined by uncontrollable, repeated seizures that have a major consequence on patients' quality of life. Electroencephalogram signals continually offer vital physiological data about human brain activity that can be utilized to analyze epilepsy. In this approach, seizures can be classified using EEG signals using a system built on the MLPNN algorithm. It is crucial to design an ANN classifier-based system with higher precision and lower computational sophistication for epileptic seizure prognosis. By partitioning the time string into the duration of 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096 and 8192 data samples, the time series' influence on feature length is the major focus of this analysis. We extrapolate that the desired attribute set and MLPNN classifier are more favorable with the proposed technique given the 99.9% prevalent classification precision and high-performance metrics with the desired attribute set. © The Institution of engineering & technology 2023.

Autonomous vehicles and robotic wheelchairs based real world applications need the automated recognition of roads, route holes, and other irregularities. Traditional techniques of image processing are responsible for the inaccurate identification of abnormalities, which ultimately leads to poor performance. As a result, the primary emphasis of this work is focused on the design of a road anomaly detection system, which is based on a Self-Supervised Label Generator (SSLG) and vertical disparity maps (VDM). Here, VDM is used to identify the regular and irregular boundaries of road by using both depth map image. In addition, an anomaly map generator is used to identify the anomalies presented in the road. Finally, supervised machine learning based SSLG approach is used to label the drivable area, unknown area, and anomaly region. According to the findings of the simulations, the performance of the proposed technique resulted in better performance, when compared to the existing methods for all performance metrics. © The Institution of engineering & technology 2023.

The phrase "Internet of Things"(loT) describes a wide range of actual physical things or gadgets that collect, measure, and wirelessly transmit data about physical properties over the Internet. loT systems have their own software development life cycle. Because the system involves human interaction, the testing and deployment requirements for these systems are slightly different than usual. Therefore, a specialised continuous integration and delivery approach to releasing new software versions must be used. GitHub Actions help automate event-driven tasks and can be transferred between repositories, making it convenient for developers to simply build, test, and deploy any software project. The GitHub Actions workflow is suitable for loT software distribution because they can use it to automate the software loT system deployment process. This paper introduces over-the-air (OTA) software deployment algorithms, their implementation with a GitHub Actions workflow, and an example use case. The example use case demonstrates the ease of loT development using the proposed GitHub Actions workflow. The proposed algorithms therefore simplify the development of Arduino-based loT applications. © The Institution of engineering & technology 2023.
