The Ibero-American Science and Technology Education Consortium (ISTEC) created in 1990 is the outcome of an engineering Education research effort led by University of New Mexico Electrical & Computer engineering faculty (UNM-ECE) and funded by Motorola, Inc., to be a catalyst for technological, social, cultural, policy, and socio-economic development. We envisioned STEM as the common language for practical global Peace engineering (PENG) and stress sharing resources (data, technology, services, etc.) through alliances among academia, industry, government agencies and multilateral organizations. ISTEC co-organized the international Federation of engineering Education Societies (IFEES, 2006), the Global engineering Deans Council (GEDC, 2008) and the first Global Peace engineeringconference, WEEF-GEDC 2018, hosted by UNM School of engineering. During the 2018 event, a new definition of Peace engineering emerged and the Peace engineering Consortium (PEC) was formed. In addition to global PENG workshops and presentations, PENG tracks are now in every annual ISTEC and WEEF-GEDC event. Partnering with the PEC, UNM-ECE created a PENG Minor in 2020 covering topics that include ethics, sustainability, society, JEDAI, design thinking, analytics and AI. We encourage cross-disciplinary collaboration to break academic silos and apply this knowledge to real world situations.

The aim of this research was 1) to design the integrated program for the Master of engineering course in Welding engineering technology at CIT, KMUTNB, and 2) the designed program shall harmonize with the international welding engineer of WIT, IIW. The research procedure was divided into 3 stages. The 1(st) stage was to design and develop an integrated program to harmonize the international Institute of Welding (IIW) requirements and the Graduate College. The 2(nd) stage was to proceed with a quality teaching and learning process by following the related procedures of CIT and the Graduate College. The 3(rd) stage was to evaluate the developed model by examinations. The comparative analysis of compatibility is applied in the 1st stage for curriculum integration of the subject-based course (MWET) harmonized with the module-based course (IWE) in terms of topics, course contents and teaching hours. The samples focused on 11 students who graduated with a Master of engineering in welding engineering technology and were granted IWE diploma. The data collection tool was the evaluation form with questionnaires and a 5-level rating scale for the usefulness and appropriateness of the integrated program. The results showed that after students obtained the Master of engineering Degree and IWE Diploma, the knowledge gained in all four modules was at a relatively high level ((X) over bar = 4.30), and the knowledge that could be applied to work was at a high level ((X) over bar = 3.94) and (2) this integration program is best suited for industries (72.7%) such as welding engineers and welding coordinators that are required by Thailand 4.0.

The field of knowledge Tracing (KT) aims to understand how students learn and master knowledge over time by analyzing their historical behaviour data. To achieve this goal, many researchers have proposed KT models that use data from Intelligent Tutoring systems (ITS) to predict students' subsequent actions. However, with the development of ITS, large-scale datasets containing long-sequence data began to emerge. Recent deep learning based KT models face obstacles such as low efficiency, low accuracy, and low interpretability when dealing with large-scale datasets containing long-sequence data. To address these issues and promote the sustainable development of ITS, we propose a LSTM BERT-based knowledge Tracing model for long sequence data processing, namely LBKT, which uses a BERT-based architecture with a Rasch model-based embeddings block to deal with different difficulty levels information and an LSTM block to process the sequential characteristic in students' actions. LBKT achieves the best performance on most benchmark datasets on the metrics of ACC and AUC.
