This pilot study investigates the variation of bioimpedance and its relationship with hydration status parameters (Total Water, Extra- Intracellular Water, etc.) during physiological bladder filling and micturition to assess the feasibility of BIA for hydration status changes as a bladder monitoring technique during bladder voiding and filling. Bioimpedance measurements were performed with the Biody Xpert instrument on three subjects: two fasted and one breakfasted. These novel results may have important implications for bioimpedance-based diagnostics.

The stop-and-start at intersections has become a prominent issue, not only damaging transportation operational efficiency but also leading to energy consumption and pollution. This paper proposes a path-oriented automatic green wave speed control method towards autonomous vehicles. By taking advantage of the vehicle-infrastructure cooperative system, a novel green wave speed control method with and without external interference is developed to dynamically compute and update the optimal speed of vehicles on the entire travel path, through which the number of stops at intersections along the path can be significantly decreased. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed model reduces intersection stops effectively, improving vehicle travel efficiency by over 30% and reducing energy consumption and pollutant emissions by nearly 50%. Notably, the proposed model does not require adjusting signal timing, and enables vehicles to autonomously adapt to changing traffic signals and road conditions. The research findings contribute not only to enhancing traffic efficiency but also to reducing energy consumption and mitigating pollution emissions, and holding broad prospects in existing advanced driver-assistance systems and future autonomous driving technologies. © Beijing HIWING Scientific and Technological Information Institute 2024.

This design utilizes a light-dependent resistor (LDR) and an STM32 microcontroller to work together for real-time solar tracking, optimizing solar energy capture. Combined with the 28BYJ-48 stepper motor control, it ensures that the solar panel is always aligned with the sun, maximizing energy absorption. The light sensor module monitors ambient light levels, intelligently controlling the on/off function of LED streetlights. Through the OLED display and ESP-01S module, data monitoring and remote management are achieved. This system not only improves the energy conversion efficiency of the solar panel but also stores excess energy in a lithium battery, ensuring lighting requirements are met during the night, enabling energy self-sufficiency. It is suitable for various outdoor locations, significantly reducing carbon dioxide emissions, contributing to environmental protection, and demonstrating the important value of energy saving and emission reduction. The system has a broad application prospect and promotion potential. © 2024 IEEE.

The advancement of YOLO and similar computer vision models represents a technological era that could revolutionize numerous aspects of day-to-day life, including traffic management. This study explores the feasibility of utilizing YOLOv8 for pedestrian detection and counting to control traffic light timing sequences at isolated pedestrian crossings. By employing the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B with a camera module, real-time pedestrian video data can be captured and processed through YOLOv8. For the hardware, three LEDs and a Dot Matrix Module replicate conventional traffic light signals and timing, effectively simulating a traffic light system. The capabilities of the custom YOLOv8 model are evaluated through pedestrian detection accuracy, calculated by percentage error across twenty samples. Results reveal an average percent error of 7.33%, indicating 92.67% accuracy in pedestrian detection and counting. These findings underscore the model’s competence for pedestrian-based adaptive traffic light control, highlighting its potential to enhance practicality and safety at pedestrian crossings by dynamically adjusting signal timings based on real-time pedestrian activity. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

The BART model is an advanced adaptation of transformers introduced by Facebook. It has incorporated elements from both BERT and GPT transformers, enabling significant advancements in language understanding and general speech processing. Utilizing both encoder and decoder components, BART proves versatile for various tasks, including translation, text completion, automatic sentence generation, entity recognition, sentiment analysis, and more. In this study, we focus on the study of pretrained models, BART and a modified version called distilbart, in the context of Zero-Shot Text Classification. In the experimental study we dive into the Zero-Shot technique applied to various pretrained Transformers. Our analysis demonstrates that, depending on the Model we utilize, we can achieve F1 scores of up to 88%, showcasing the model's effectiveness in discerning classes for this Sentiment Analysis problem using the Zero-Shot Text Classification technique. © 2023 IEEE.

Within the field of image processing, the term "computer vision" is growing in use. There is a big need for automatic object recognition now that computer vision applications are starting to take off. The computer vision community has profited from the convolution neural network (CNN), which has excelled in many disciplines including speech recognition, object categorization, segmentation, video editing, and many more. This manuscript's key contribution is to contrast several architectural evolutions based on architectural development, advantages, and disadvantages. A breakdown of the elements of CNN, advantages, and disadvantages of different variations on CNN, knowledge gaps or unresolved problems, CNN applications, and future research directions are also included. When it comes to machine learning issues, CNN performs superbly. This article discussed the automatic frequency fluctuation control in an interlinked power network. Power quality issue arises at the time uncertainty in the loading. The power network is framed by two unequal power sources for investigation. By the complexity of the network the maintain the power quality is too much risk. Area one consists of a dish Stirling thermal system (DSTS). Area two has a thermal power plant alone. For automatic frequency stability control, the Load frequency control (LFC) scheme is presented with a secondary controller. In this study proportional integral derivative (PID) controller is recommended. The parameters of PID are optimized by the Dragonfly algorithm (DA) using Integral Time Absolute Error (ITAE) cost function. The DA technique supremacy is proved by comparing the results of the Ant colony optimization (ACO), Differential evolution (DE), Genetic algorithm (GA), and Particle swarm optimization (PSO) technique with DA. The DA - PID controller response is better than the GA, ACO, DE, and PSO techniques. The control response proved the quick oscillation control at 16s, also very minimal peak values. © 2023 IEEE.

The functionality of a security architecture for advanced Internet of Things (IoT) devices is discussed in this article. Validated key configuration and access control that is based on tokens are absolutely necessary in order to guarantee the safety of this idea. In order to keep up with the rapid proliferation of the IoT ecosystem, it is imperative that the availability, integrity, and security of data be maintained at all times. Token-based access control is an opportunity to provide a workable solution to one of the most common concerns raised about the safety of the internet of things (IoT). This article's objective is to improve the safety of the Internet of Things (IoT) by analyzing the guiding principles, implementation tactics, and benefits offered by a variety of security measures that may be included into complex IoT systems. In this article, we explain how token-based access control and verified key generation may be merged into a single, all-encompassing method to strengthen the safety of platforms used for the internet of things (IoT). Token-based access control provides flexibility and adaptability when it comes to regulating rights in dynamic settings that are linked to the Internet of Things. In order to shield oneself from potential dangers such as man-in-the-middle attacks, one must take the necessary precautions, such as generating authorized keys to keep the privacy of one's communication routes secret. This research uses performance measurements, comparisons of code sizes, and statistical analysis to evaluate and examine the efficacy and efficiency of a variety of different security methods. The findings demonstrate how readily the recommended methodology may be adapted to meet the requirements of a wide variety of Internet of Things (IoT) systems. This paper is a helpful resource for enterprises and developers who work in dynamic situations and are interested in strengthening the security of Internet of Things deployments. © 2024 IEEE.

Efficient code commenting is critical to improving code readability, maintainability, and collaboration. This paper introduces automated code commenting within an integrated development environment IDE using chatbots. The introduced system, implemented in Python with Selenium, automates the comments generation process, allowing coders to focus on code logic. Results obtained demonstrates successful interactions with chatbots, comment retrieval and handling delay. Challenges identified include instruction selection and extended conversations, offering opportunities for improvement. Future prospects include reusable libraries, user-friendly interfaces, and streamlined code-commenting. © 2023 IEEE.

Photovoltaic generation has grown with continuous developments that allow new functionalities such as power factor correction or multilevel voltage generation. However, the increment in the complexity of control algorithms requires expensive digital systems for their correct implementation. Therefore, this paper presents a new simplified reactive power control technique based on the d-q rotating frame theory allowing power factor correction by injecting phase-shifted or in-phase current to the power grid from photovoltaic arrays. Furthermore, the high conversion efficiency rate result is due to the use of an MPPT algorithm. Finally, the proposed simplified reactive power control was constructed to be used in a 7-level H-bridge power inverter. Simulated results of the proposed simplified control scheme verify low-THD in the current and a high-performance during active or reactive power injection into the single-phase electrical grid.
