In this paper, the dynamic coupling characteristics of the oil film of the slipper pair of the axial piston pump are analysed to achieve optimize the performance of the pump and prolong its *** oil chamber pressure model of the slipper is first established to obtain the boundary conditions of the lubricated surface of the slippers. Then the multi-field coupling model is established based on Reynolds *** finite difference and Newton-Raphson methods were utilized to simulate the fluctuating oil film thickness. The findings indicate that the oil film's temperature peaks under high pressure and dips under low pressure, with a more pronounced tilt in the latter. These numerical insights shed light on the complex interactions within the slipper pair's oil film dynamics. © The Institution of engineering & Technology 2024.

Among the most prominent sources of alternative power in recent years is solar energy. Thus, photovoltaic (PV) systems need to be made more efficient and reliable. A PV panel’s conversion capacity is between 23% and 24% when it converts solar energy to electricity. However, the average conversion efficiency for most PV panels was around 15–20%. Identifying the maximum power point (MPP) on PV panels is one way to increase conversion efficiency. MPPT system control is presented and discussed in this paper for a 100 MW system in Metehara, Ethiopia. The aim of this paper is to present a novel hybrid approach for maximum power point tracking (MPPT). A particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm and a P&O MPPT technique are combined in this method. In order to achieve the MPP with improved speed and accuracy, the algorithm goes through a series of stages. MATLAB/Simulink was used to model the proposed algorithm under different operating conditions. Through comprehensive simulations across diverse input conditions, the proposed approach’s MPP tracking performance is assessed. When compared with systems lacking MPPT techniques, the hybrid approach demonstrates an average efficiency of 99.76%. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Cyber-Physical Systems represent digital systems based mainly on the interconnection between the physical world and cyberspace. Physical processes are controlled and monitored through networked computers. Feedback loops between the physical and computing environment are involved, including sensors and actuators. Thus, the CPS design involves the analysis of the interrelated dynamical physical processes, computation resources, networks, and software. CPS is application-oriented, by its nature so the necessity of available services composition appears frequently. The CPS services, resources and capabilities can be placed at the system and node level. In this context, the Communication Cost is an important performance criteria for accessing their resources, even in a composite form. In this paper an interoperability framework, for Cyber-Physical Systems capabilities, using REST and SOAP web services is presented. The interoperability capabilities of the framework are ensured by both of the convergence of IP and non-IP networks for services access and by the services composition facilities. For a scenario of multiuser access at the composed services, the interoperability framework response time is evaluated, because it brings an important contribution in the determination of Communications Cost, in a QoS approach. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper studied the actuation system form used in near space vehicle, based on the near space vehicle design demanding of high power/weight ratio and high reliability, this paper proposes a new type dissimilar redundant actuation system (NT-DRAS). It is composed with electro-hydrostatic actuator (EHA) and electro-mechanical actuator (EMA), followed by this, aiming at high power/weight ratio and high reliability, an multi-constraint model is given first, and then multi-constraint based power/weight ratio and reliability optimization process is given. Finally, optimization results in three dimensional space are given to show and analyze that the NT-DRAS can have high power/weight ratio and high mission reliability compared with other actuation schemes. © The Institution of engineering & Technology 2024.

The goal of this study is to identify optimal sensor data sampling rates for anomaly detection in industrial control systems (ICS). The identification of optimal sensor data sampling rates allows ICS operators to store less data while training adequate anomaly detection models. In this study, the autoencoder method was utilized to enhance the effectiveness of the detection process and statistical (histogram) anomaly scores were applied to determine anomaly threshold points. The experiment on the proposed method was conducted using the Secure Water Treatment (SWaT) and the HIL-based Augmented ICS Security (HIL-HAI) datasets. The results of the experiment demonstrate that the proposed method outperformed the current anomaly detection techniques. This research outlines a method for monkeypox virus classification from images, emphasizing the effective management of augmented datasets to ensure balanced class distribution and provide a robust foundation for model training. The study harnesses the capabilities of advanced pre-trained deep learning models, specifically ResNet50, EfficientNetB3, and DenseNet169, utilizing transfer learning techniques to adapt them to the task at hand. Techniques such as batch normalization and dropout are used to reduce overfitting and improve the generalization capacity of the models. Then, using the optimizer and categorical cross-entropy loss, these models are fine-tuned for monkeypox virus classification. One noteworthy addition is the inclusion of interactive learning, which gives users dynamic control over the training process by enabling them to intervene at predetermined intervals. Performance metrics such as accuracy, confusion matrix are used in the evaluation of the model. In order to guarantee a trustworthy evaluation of the models' performance, an independent test dataset is utilized. The most impressive accomplishment is the ensemble learning method, which combines the predictions from all three models,ResNet50,EfficientNetB3 and DenseNet169 with a simple averaging procedure. The classification report shows that this all-encompassing methodology consistently produces excellent results, with precision, recall, and F1-score consistently exceeding 0.97. In a time when healthcare challenges are constantly changing, this method shows promise as a useful tool for image-based diagnosis. © 2024 IEEE.

A study on position and speed is made on BLDC (Brushless DC motor) in this research. The study is performed based on the sensor less technology which includes background investigation. Compared to the conventional method, the reliability and the performance of BLDC motor is improved using the proposed design. In the simulation, controlling the speed of BLDC motor is performed. In simulation, the speed of the BLDC motor remains constant even when the voltage varies. Further in the real time experimentation sensor less are studied in terms of merits and demerits, further an analysis is made on design parameter, issue in implementation and the application. The study includes an Electro Motive Force sensing methods, Terminal Voltage Sensing and Terminal Current Sensing. Using microcontroller (Atmega8A) board and Electronic Speed controller, the speed of the motor is controlled by varying the 10k potentiometer. The parameter like speed and rpm are obtained and shown in the load display. © 2023 IEEE.

Battery management system analysis and design for mobile device battery monitoring is a revolutionary approach that incorporates the capability the battery which contains the battery management system into the mobile devices and this paper mainly focused on monitoring the BMS using smart meter based FPGA in cellphone and it contains four components. (i) smart charging (ii) balancing the battery (iii) discharging (iv) performing the operation in safe manner. A charging algorithm is given that the features is combined the pulse charging and multistage charging for charging the lithium ion battery pack Charging circuit of current control to be achieved with high loop near stability the proportional integral control technique is provided. The simulation result is demonstrated for smart charging and the capacity of battery is determined. The performance is based on the evaluation of monitoring in various temperature and its characteristics, pulse performance, peukert equation and the cells expected operating life span is measured. © 2023 IEEE.

"Principles of automatic control" is a basic course for automation majors, and the laboratory class plays a supporting role in classroom teaching and plays an important role in the autonomy and innovation of students. In order to train students to be proficient in control system analysis and design, a resonant system teaching platform was designed using a mixture of MATLAB and C++ programming. Real-time data transmission is carried out through the upper computer and the resonant system experiment platform, to achieve the interactive teaching and demonstration function. At the same time, it can visually demonstrate the teaching content of control theory from system modeling to time domain and frequency domain response analysis experiments, which can effectively improve students' understanding and comprehensive application of theoretical knowledge. © 2023 SPIE.
