automatic recognition of facial expressions is a common problem in human-computer interaction. While humans can recognize facial expressions very easily, machines cannot do it as easily as humans. Analyzing facial changes during facial expressions is one of the methods used for this purpose by the machines. In this research, facial deformation caused by facial expressions is considered for automatic facial expression recognition by machines. To achieve this goal, the motion vectors of facial deformations are captured during facial expression using an optical flow algorithm. These motion vectors are then used to analyze facial expressions using some data mining algorithms. This analysis not only determined how changes in the face occur during facial expressions but can also be used for facial expression recognition. The facial expressions investigated in this research are happiness, sadness, surprise, fear, anger, and disgust. According to our research, these facial expressions were classified into 12 classes of facial motion vectors. We applied our proposed analysis mechanism to the extended Cohen-Kanade facial expression dataset. Our developed automatic facial expression system achieved 95.3%, 92.8%, and 90.2% accuracy using Deep Learning (DL), Support Vector Machine (SVM), and C5.0 classifiers, respectively. In addition, based on this research, it was determined which parts of the face have a greater impact on facial expression recognition. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Trajectory tracking is a basic problem in quadrotor control. To achieve a better control effect, MPC is introduced in the control of quadrotors. In this paper, we introduce the error-state dynamic model of a quadrotor firstly. Then, we develop an MPC method via the Lie group of special euclidean group based on the error-state dynamic model of a quadrotor. The proposed method is established on a manifold, thus the smoothness of the quadrotor trackjectory can be guaranteed. Our scheme is developed in error-state, which means that we take the velocity of the target trajectory into consideration for the dynamic model building. Therefore the cost function of our proposed approach is convex while the traditional MPC method is not when tracking a nonlinear trajectory. At the end of this paper, we compare our proposed MPC method with the traditional MPC method in one hundred sets of simulations. In our proposed method, the errors of position and orientation converge faster than the errors in the traditional method. The simulation results show that our proposed method is superior to traditional MPC scheme while tracking a nonlinear trajectory with a random initial position and verity the correctness of our MPC method. © 2023 IEEE.

Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) consist of integration of cyber and physical spaces through computing, communication, and control operations. In vehicular CPS, modern vehicles with multiple Electronic control Units (ECUs) and networking with other vehicles help autonomous driving. Vehicular CPS is vulner-able to multitude of cyber attacks, including false data injection attacks. This paper presents an Asynchronous Federated Learning (AFL) with a Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) model for identifying False Data Injection (FDI) attacks in a VCPS. The AFL model continuously monitors the network and constructs a digital twin using the data obtained from a VCPS for intrusion detection. The proposed model is evaluated using different evaluation metrics. Numerical results show that the AFL model outperforms other existing models. © 2024 IEEE.

All the nations' administrative units are concerned about the COVID-19 outbreak in different regions of the world. India is also trying to control the spread of the virus with strict measures and has managed to slow down its growth rate. The administration of each country faces the challenge of maintaining records of corona patients. To address this challenge, this work builds a website from scratch using real-time APIs for data visualization. The website provides information on the number of active cases, death cases, recovery cases, and total cases of COVID-19 patients in each country. The data can be visualized using graphs, making it easier to compare the situation in different countries. The website allows for monitoring which country has a higher number of deaths, patients, favorable recovery rates, and a large number of active cases. The COVID-19 status regarding patients can be analyzed through graphical representation using real-time data. © 2023 IEEE.

Traditional lung puncture surgery requires a very high level of experience and operational proficiency from the surgeon, and a slight inadvertence during the procedure can cause irreversible damage to the patient's lungs. At the same time, long-term exposure to X-ray radiation in the surgical CT room can cause significant radiation dose overload injuries to the surgeon. To address the above problems, this paper designs a novel robotic system for lung puncture surgery and investigates it for master-slave control. First, a mechanism that can deliver multiple medical devices simultaneously is proposed to enable rotation, delivery, clamping, and bending control of the medical devices;second, a method to manipulate the surgical robot using a touch panel is proposed;and finally, a combination of convolutional neural network and image processing is used to assist in controlling the automatic rotation of the endoscope to reduce the complexity of the surgery. The final animal experiment of the paper verifies the feasibility of the robot. © 2023 SPIE.

Virtual coupling technology is currently a focal point within the railway industry. Through vehicle-to-vehicle communication, virtual coupling allows trains to form a unified train unit, thereby reducing inter-train spacing and enhancing transportation efficiency. The complexity of tracking operations and the shorter spacing between virtual coupled trains place high demands on controller performance. This paper designs an adaptive model predictive control (MPC), enabling automatic adjustment of control parameters with the train's operation. Firstly, this paper establishes a train dynamics model based on an improved single-point mass model. Secondly, considering the characteristics of train tracking operations, this paper formulates rules for varying control parameters, thus designing an adaptive MPC. Finally, to validate the effectiveness of the method, simulations were conducted using three heterogeneous trains for virtual coupling target tracking. The results indicate that compared to fixed-parameter MPC, the method proposed in this paper improves computational efficiency by 5% and reduces inter-train spacing tracking error by 16%. The effectiveness of the proposed control approach has been demonstrated, providing a reference for further research on dynamic adjustment of control parameters in train operation processes. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. The coordinator was an important component of the automatic ammunition loading system of large-caliber artillery. In this paper, kinematics and dynamics of a coordination manipulator with five degrees of freedom were carried *** forward and inverse kinematics analysis and motion trajectory planning of the simplified coordination manipulator under different firing angles were carried out with Robotic Toolbox to obtain the motion parameters of angular displacement, angular velocity and angular acceleration at each driving joint of the manipulator. Using the motion parameters obtained from the trajectory planning, the inverse dynamics of the manipulator was analyzed by ADAMS, and the driving torque curves of each joint were calculated, which provided a reference for the subsequent prototype development and simulation control of the manipulator. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. At present, video surveillance has covered the whole process of construction, operation and maintenance of important traffic infrastructure such as ship locks, Bridges and waterways. In order to further tap the potential value of video surveillance data and meet the needs of automatic identification and control of the safety status of traffic infrastructure structures, image recognition technology and information technology are used to study the structural displacement measurement algorithm based on image recognition. The structure displacement measurement algorithm based on machine vision and the structure displacement measurement system based on machine vision were developed to measure the two-dimensional deformation of the object surface by analyzing the two images before and after deformation, and directly measure the displacement and deformation field of the surface of various scales under the action of loads. It has been proved by experiments that the measurement accuracy of the structure displacement based on machine vision has reached millimeter level. The industrial automation with multi processing controller is a technology that has revolutionized the way that industrial processes are managed. It has enabled the automation of complex and varied processes, allowing factories to become more efficient and productive. Multi processing controllers are powerful computers that are used to control and monitor a wide range of industrial processes. They are typically connected to a network of sensors and actuators that measure and control the physical environment. By connecting these components to a powerful computer, a multi-processing controller can be used to quickly and accurately adjust the physical environment in order to achieve desired results. A multi-processing controller can be used to control the temperature, pressure, and flow of a production line. By adjusting the temperature and pressure of a certain process, the controller can ensure that the material reaches the desired state. This can be done with a simple push of a button, eliminating the need for manual labor. Multi processing controllers also allow for the automation of complex tasks, such as the management of an entire production line. By connecting different components to the controller, it can be programmed to coordinate the entire production line, ensuring that the correct materials and processes are used at the right time. Grid congestion forms an obstacle for the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) by companies for their sustainability goals. This paper presents a robust approach to smart charging of large fleets of EVs that only utilizes currently available technologies and data, such that it can be applied in practice. The method relies only on available data at charge point operators. The presented approach uses offline aggregated planning to determine a robust fill-level. Subsequently, this fill-level is used in online control to maximise the quality of service to users while being able to provide flexibility to the energy system. Simulation results using real data show that the self-consumption of PV energy can be improved from 72.0% to 85.4%. Furthermore, the energy not served is reduced from 5.9% to 2.8%. © 2023 IEEE.
