In this paper, a resource allocation algorithm based on capacity maximization for massive Machine Type of Communication (mMTC) is studied. Taking LTE single cell as the background, considering the coexistence of LTE cellular user devices and mMTC devices, a two-layer network model is established in mMTC scenario, and mMTC gateway is introduced to analyze the transmit power control strategy of mMTC gateway (mMTCG) in mMTC scenario. On this basis, the bandwidth and power resource allocation problem in mMTC scenario is studied by using deep reinforcement learning algorithm to maximize the system capacity. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can improve the capacity of the system, and the power control is more consistent with the characteristics of mMTC scenario. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to achieve the early stage diagnosis of internal short circuit faults (ISC) in lithium battery packs, this thesis proposes a fault diagnosis strategy based on Successive Variational Mode Decomposition (SVMD) combined with Principal Component Analysis (PCA). In this strategy, SVMD is used to extract the voltage fault features, the fault features are modeled online by PCA to obtain the SPE statistical control limit, and then the fault features are substituted into the PCA model to calculate the SPE statistics. By monitoring whether the SPE statistics exceed the control limit, the fault is judged to occur, and then the SPE contribution value of each battery is calculated to locate the faulty battery. The final experimental results show that the SVMD algorithm can simply and effectively extract fault features, and the PCA online integrated modeling and diagnosis can effectively avoid model mismatch and accurately locate the fault occurrence time, and the proposed method has a better effect on internal short circuit fault diagnosis in the early stage than the correlation coefficient method. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

With the increasing popularity and complexity of microservice software systems, satisfying the performance requirements of these systems becomes a non-trivial task. While horizontal auto-scaling is a common remedy to this problem, it is not necessarily cost-effective and the proper solution for all scenarios. Also, regardless of the number of replicas, they are all prone to common bug failure. In this poster/demo, we present an agile and cost-effective approach for satisfying the performance requirements of microservice software systems without incurring extra costs on the service provider. We research how performance, i.e., response time, can be tamed by applying software diversity, aka multi-versioning, to the system's resource-heavy critical services. We use our open-source extension of the Docker framework, called DockerMV, to deploy microservice systems with multi-versioning embedded underneath. We also propose a dynamic load-balancing service that proactively adapts to the various versions depending on current and near-future performance needs. We demonstrate the efficacy of multi-versioning for satisfying the performance requirements of microservice software systems through extensive experiments on TeaStore, a microservice reference test application, and Znn, a containerized news portal. In the industry 4.0 era, the 3D visualization and real-time automatic monitoring of intelligent warehousing supported are becoming increasingly important. In intelligent warehousing system, 2D chart mode is key component for visualization design. However, the requirements of 3D panoramic scene for warehousing data and the gap between interactive operation and data visualization challenge the development of visual warehousing. In order to solve the problems of untimely information sharing in the warehousing system, the inability to clearly and intuitively display the stockpiling of goods, and the difficulty of overall management and control of the warehouse. In this paper, we present a ***-based warehousing system which can enable 3D warehousing visualization from the perspective of intelligent management. The proposed system includes five key components: warehousing data visualization, device data visualization, security monitoring visualization, visualization of roaming in the warehouse area, and visualization of inventory increases and decreases. The neural information decomposed from EMG signals provides a new way of thinking about human-robot interaction. Distinguished from the traditional EMG time-frequency domain features, muscle synergy analysis can capture synergistic motion information on multiple degrees of freedom, and this information provides more intuitive and natural information for intelligent rehabilitation. In this paper, we propose a neural interface for hip-knee-ankle joint angle prediction of human walking lower limbs based on muscle synergy advanced neural control signals, and compare the prediction results of different walking speeds and different features for the model to find out the best estimation method, which has great application prospects in the scenarios of exoskeleton robot control and rehabilitation training. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper aims to investigate the impact of spare parts management on system reliability in complex equipment systems, primarily focusing on two factors: the system's continuous operational duration and the total cost associated with spare parts storage. By establishing a multi-objective optimization model, we have identified an optimal spare parts storage strategy that strikes a balance between the total cost and the system's continuous operational duration. The experimental results indicate that, within the assumed 3-year effective operational cycle of the complex equipment system, when equipping it with 2, 2, and 3 spare parts for the gyroscope, accelerometer, and servo motor respectively, the system's longest continuous operating duration is 37,300 hours, and the minimum cost is 84,000 RMB. Compared to the single-objective optimization model, this model not only reduces the total cost but also ensures that the system will not be interrupted due to spare parts shortages within its normal lifecycle. This study provides valuable insights and optimization methods for improving the reliability of complex systems. © 2023 IEEE.

Switching power supply with higher efficiency and reliability is more and more applied in the design of digital instrument control system of nuclear power station. The design scheme of using a single power supply will cause a high power density for a single power module to process, and the power module will also face a large electrical stress during operation. The technical scheme of expanding single power supply brings more difficulties to the selection of power components, the improvement of switching frequency and power density of power module. At the same time, if a single power supply fails, the entire system may crash. Therefore, the research on the capacity expansion and redundancy technology using multiple small-capacity switching power supplies is becoming more and more extensive. This paper mainly focuses on the typical application of switching power supply distribution circuit in digital instrument control system engineering, and analyzes and describes the design of power supply expansion and reliability of power supply redundancy. At the same time, combined with the test analysis, the influence of the current distribution and current uneven problem of power module generated by this design on the reliability of distribution circuit is analyzed, and the subsequent improvement suggestions are put forward. The views presented in this paper are of guiding significance to the design of the switching power distribution system and the operation and maintenance of the switching power supply system of the subsequent control system of nuclear power plant, and can improve the stable operation of the control system of nuclear power plant in the long run. © 2024 IEEE.

Fault diagnosis in wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) is important to protect communities and ecosystems from toxic elements discharged into water. In this sense, fault identification of sensors plays an important role as they are the key components of the water plants control, especially because environmental legislation is very strict when referring to failures or anomalies in WWTPs. This paper analyzes the performances of two Deep Learning models, a Feedforward Neural Network (FFNN) and a 1D Convolution Neural Network (1DCNN) for identifying five operating states of the dissolved oxygen (DO) sensor: normal and faulty (bias, stuck, spike and precision degradation faults). The experiments were conducted on the Benchmark Simulator Model No 2 (BSM2) developed by the IWA Task Group. The performance of the Deep Learning (DL) classifiers was evaluated via accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. The best overall classification accuracy was obtained by FFNN, 98.32% for training and 98.30% for testing. © 2023 IEEE.

As the continuous emergence of new applications, such as face recognition and automatic driving, wireless devices are faced with problems, for instance, limited computing resources and excessive energy consumption. Thus, this study presents a joint task offloading and computation algorithm for multi-carrier and multi-relay mobile edge computing (MEC) systems to resolve aforementioned problems. First, we build a multi-carrier and multi-relay MEC system. Next, we calculate the delay constraints according to the given tasks, optimize resource allocation. To optimize the total energy consumed of relays and users, the optimization of resource allocation is expressed as a mixed integer programming problem. Further, because difficulty in solving the issue, we use continuous relaxation and algebraic transformation to convert the problem to equivalent problem. Finally, we solve the problem utilizing the interior point method, which realizing the highly efficient resource allocation. Simulation results demonstrated that the presented joint collaborative task offloading and computing program decreases energy consumed by 26.67% compared with the relay-only assisted task computing program. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.
