In order to realize the automatic transfer task of aluminum ingot samples in an electrolytic aluminum plant, an electrolytic aluminum sample transfer robot was designed. Based on the mechanical structure of the robot, we focus on the fusion navigation method of the robot, using multi-sensor fusion laser SLAM (Simultaneous Localization And Mapping) algorithm for fusion mapping, and Scan Context algorithm for global coarse alignment, combining it with laser inertial guidance tightly-coupled odometry to get the global re-localization position, and Pure Pursuit (Pure Pursuit) algorithm for trajectory tracking, to realize the autonomous navigation. Through on-site testing, the navigation stability, positioning accuracy, and operational error all meet the operational requirements, and each unit operates normally. © 2024 IEEE.

The integration of electric vehicles (EVs) into power grids presents a significant challenge for sustainability due to their dynamic charging demands and the need to accommodate renewable energy sources. Existing optimization methods often fail to adequately address the complexity of this problem. In this study, propose a novel approach that combines Sine Hunter-Prey Optimization (SHPO) with Gated Recurrent Units (GRUs) to dynamically optimize EV charging for sustainable power grid operation. Traditional optimization methods struggle to capture the nonlinear and time-varying nature of EV charging demands and renewable energy availability. To overcome this limitation, SHPO's ability to efficiently explore complex solution spaces and GRUs' capability to model temporal dependencies in sequential data. This proposed method optimizes EV charging schedules by considering grid stability, renewable energy utilization, and cost minimization. Validating the approach using historical data on EV charging patterns, renewable energy generation, and grid conditions. Performance metrics include grid stability indices, renewable energy integration rates, and cost savings compared to baseline strategies. Experimental results demonstrate that the method outperforms traditional optimization techniques, leading to more sustainable and resilient power grid operation with 92% stability. Overall, this study contributes to advancing the modern methods in dynamic optimization of EV charging, paving the way for more sustainable transportation and energy systems. © 2024 IEEE.

Artificial neural networks are commonly employed to mimic biological activities in the brain. Synapse as the neuron connecter plays an important role in information transmission, which revises the dynamics of coupled neurons inevitably or even bring synchronization behavior. In this work, by coupling the FitzHugh-Nagumo neuron (FN) and Hindmarsh-Rose neuron (HR) with a memristor synapse, a 5D neuron system is derived. The dynamics and synchronization feature of the coupled memristive neuron including period-doubling bifurcation and chaotic bursting were exhaustively studied through phase portraits, Lyapunov exponents, and bifurcation diagrams. It shows that the coupling strength of the synapse poses a great impact on the evolution of membrane potential including phase synchronization and complete synchronization. In addition, the derived HR-FN Neuron has the property of offset boosting and local frequency control. Offset boosting poses unique effects on synchronization when the derived neuron exhibits different firing dynamics. © 2023 IEEE.

In this research paper, we propose the utilization of Multiple Vertical Take-off and Landing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (VTOL UAVs) suited for maritime operations, combined with Deep Learning algorithms for automatic victim detection and coming up the solution rescue. This work addresses detecting victims with low light intensity - the challenge of Computer Vision algorithms combined with brute-force search flight systems. A cooperative architecture between two UAVs on a local communication network is devised to monitor the drone's trajectory in the search progress. The modern flight system is based on Software in the Loop (SITL) simulation consisting of X-Plane 11, Ardupilot Firmware, and the autonomous flight algorithm to detect and rescue victims at sea. The simulation results demonstrate the enhancement of mitigating the effect of light intensity for images captured by UAVs to be used by deep learning technique for ameliorating the number of detected victims at sea with up to 62.6% compared with original data. © 2023 IEEE.

Normal wiggly hesitant fuzzy sets (NWHFSs) as a significant tool in decision-making. NWHFSs can retain the original information and dig the uncertain information based on hesitant fuzzy information. However, there are few studies in clustering of NWHFSs. In this paper, we propose a method for NWHFSs based on hierarchical clustering combine with K-means algorithm. Firstly, we get the hesitant fuzzy decision matrix by decision makers (DMs). Meanwhile, we mine the potential information and obtain the normal wiggly hesitant fuzzy decision matrix. Then, we calculate the distance between patterns and repeat it until all patterns are clustered into one. Furthermore, we select the results of hierarchical clustering as initial cluster and calculate centroids. Furthermore, we redistribute the patterns and repeat these steps until the centroids is unchanged. Finally, we use an example about the evaluation in flow environment of data element to illustrate the particularly and validity of the proposed method. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

In order to solve problems of computer delay and low information batch storage load of the intelligent distribution network system, a machine learning-based distribution network monitoring information batch processing method is proposed. The method uses the HDFS distributed file system to measure the data transmission records, builds the distribution network monitoring information scheduling cluster, measure the latency of the computer system, and fills system delay time with the data response task. It plans the processing mode of the monitoring information interface, divides the large-scale flow calculation of machine learning, and builds the monitoring information batch processing model. It increases and counts the information batch accumulation nodes, and expands the distribution network to develop the learning path of intelligent analysis machine through the cloud computing service level. It calculates the telemetry information and effective event information, plans the layout of telemetry coordination nodes through HDFS. It divides the storage space of monitoring information, monitors the storage space with remote control metabase, and completes the batch processing and storage of accumulation V002 distribution network monitoring information with the manager. The experimental results show that the highest storage load rate of the information cluster processing is 95%, and the batch processing effect of the distribution network monitoring information is guaranteed. © 2024 IEEE.

In the ever-evolving landscape of agriculture, the need for precision and efficiency has never been more critical. This paper introduces a cutting-edge irrigation management system that leverages the power of the Internet of Things (IoT) and real-time data integration. Instead of traditional irrigation methods, this system adapts irrigation practices dynamically based on soil moisture and plant growth stages. Through a seamless synergy of wireless IoT sensors and web applications, this solution provides farmers with a robust platform to remotely monitor and control irrigation processes. Soil moisture data is collected and analyzed in real-time, ensuring that water is delivered precisely when and where it's needed. Beyond soil data, this system integrates external sources of information, including real-time weather data encompassing rainfall probability, temperature, and wind speed. The project's scalability is a hallmark, capable of serving the needs of small-scale farms as well as extensive agricultural operations, and adaptable to a wide variety of crops. One of the most promising therapies for breast cancer treatment is microwave ablation (MWA). Nevertheless, it is necessary to design personalized treatment planning to ensure the correct application of this technique. The MWA-based treatment planning characterizes the tumor’s geometry, generates an adequate applicator configuration, and computes electromagnetic (EM) and thermal models to look for efficient tumor ablation. This work is focused on the first step of the treatment planning, analyzing 22 digital breast tumor models through the Principal Components Analysis (PCA) method, obtaining the eigenvectors and eigenvalues using the medoid of the tumor to ensure an existing point that can be reachable by the microwave applicators. This medoid-based approach is compared with the information obtained using the centroid of the tumor. The results show that the maximum distance between the centroid and the medoid and the maximum distance of the eigenvalues are approximately 1 mm, and the maximum difference between the angle of the eigenvectors is approximately 4°. Considering that the safety margin for the tumors in surgery or ablation is between 5 and 10 mm, the maximum distance is lower than this range; hence, the centroid can be replaced with the medoid to obtain the eigenvalues and the eigenvectors to characterize the tumor.

In view of the problems existing in the current mainstream virtual simulation experiments in the restoration of the sense of experiment experience and the degree of reality, by modifying the physical experiment device and combining it with the Internet of Things technology and automatic control, students can complete the physical experiment by remotely controlling the real experiment instrument, and provide the operation experience similar to the offline experiment. The experimental platform includes the remote experimental device of Hall element magnetic field measurement and Michelson interferometer, and the innovative modules such as experiment reservation, teacher terminal, student data summary and new experimental device upload are designed. After the campus test operation, the experimental device demonstrates high image fluency, and there is little difference between the experimental data and that obtained from offline experiments, which allows students to successfully complete the corresponding experiment content. This results in a good teaching effect and provides a reference for the future construction of remote physics experiment platforms. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).
