An exposition of a ground-breaking Info-Geometric approach to FPK probability density function (PDF) is undertaken in this paper. The results extend to finding the FPK Geodesic equations (GEs) of motion. Exact analytic solutions of these GES are derived. the Some potential applications of FPK to system control, modelling and simulation are provided. Working women must be protected from assault in many parts of the world. A smart ID card based on the Internet of Things (IoT) could make female workers safer and be one solution to this problem. Because of the built-in sensors and connectivity components, this ID card will be able to sense and respond to its surroundings. If the sensors detect something unusual, such as a sudden movement or a loud noise, they will send a signal to the system. Following the completion of the data analysis, the system takes any necessary actions, such as sending alerts to security personnel or notifying on-call personnel. The proposed system will provide the user with access to an emergency panic button. The system's GPS component will track the user's location and send alerts to the appropriate parties. There will also be a cloud-based monitoring system with the proposed approach. This allows the employer or loved ones of the worker to track the worker's whereabouts and activities in real time. The system will analyze the data using machine learning techniques, and the results will reveal the worker's behavior and level of safety. A smart ID card linked to the Internet of Things (IoT) could help women work in safer environments. The proposed technology would enable real-time monitoring, predictive alarms, and data analysis. All of these precautions will help ensure female employees' safety and avoid unpleasant situations. © 2023 IEEE.

As power electronics technology continues to advance, the prevalence of switching quantity interface circuits has grown in diverse domains, encompassing industrial production and everyday civilian applications. An analysis of operational data from these circuits, along with an assessment of their overall health, proves instrumental in the timely detection and resolution of operational anomalies. This holds paramount significance in upholding the reliability of these interface circuits. Nevertheless, tracking the degradation trajectory of the core components during their operational lifespan poses a challenge. Typically, only two states, normal and abnormal, are readily discernible, making direct health assessment elusive. To address this issue, this study introduces a health assessment methodology for the fundamental components of switch quantity interface circuits based on active excitation testing. Through the application of active excitation, the performance decay profile of the optical coupler is ascertained, solving the problem of capturing the degradation process within these circuits. This approach facilitates the stable and precise characterization of the health status of switching quantity interface circuits. The health assessment method presented in this paper is characterized by modest computational resource demands and a reduced reliance on expert knowledge. It is adept at quantitatively delineating the health status of switch-quantity interface circuits with precision, thereby offering guidance for the maintenance and replacement of pivotal electronic components within these circuits. In doing so, it contributes to the assurance of operational dependability and an extension of the service life of switch quantity interface circuits. © 2023 IEEE.

The article presents an automated assembly station designed by students as part of Project Based Learning. The task of the project was to familiarize with the issues of integration of automation and control elements operating in various standards in order to implement the idea of Industry 4.0. The main elements of the station are the Astorino educational robot, gripper, servo drive and other professional elements of industrial automation and IoT systems. Raspberry PI, microcontrollers, etc. are also used. To improve the stability control capability of distributed electric drive vehicles on rough road surfaces, a hierarchical stability control strategy that considers road interference is proposed. In the upper-level controller, a new rollover energy stability index based on the energy method is designed. An enhanced sliding mode controller is employed to simultaneously control the yaw rate and the center-of-mass side slip angle as the control objectives. The sliding mode theory determines the additional yaw moment required for maintaining vehicle stability under road disturbances. The lower-level controller designs an optimal torque distribution strategy to allocate the yaw torque output, generated by the upper-level controller, to each wheel for achieving vehicle stability control. Joint simulations are conducted using CARSIM and MATLAB/Simulink to perform simulation experiments. The results demonstrate that this control method effectively enhances the stable steering control of distributed electric drive vehicles on rough roads, reduces the risk of vehicle sideslip and rollover during steering, and improves driving safety. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Proper coordination of time-limited relays is crucial to minimize the unnecessary outages of interconnected PhotoVoltaic (PV) power systems. In this article, new bounds are proposed to determine the relay time by appropriately computing the variations in the maximum and minimum of Short Current (SC) in addition to the techniques of reducing the influence of the interfacing inverter for diverse PV levels with time interval changes of Over Current (OC) relay coordination. Finally, to demonstrate the effectiveness and accuracy of the presented analysis made by ETAP program, an application to the Diyala grid power system is presented. The main is to determine the best PV candidate locations for buses after many cases of SCs. © 2022 IEEE.

The increase in information technologies has generated the need to implement new methodologies to secure the exchange of information. This paper proposes a cryptographic algorithm based on the use of quantum differential geometry operators. These operators exhibit mathematical behaviors similar to quantum behavior, with the advantage that specialized equipment is not required to perform the encryption process. The algorithm is composed of two phases: In the first phase, a subkey is generated through an addition and multiplication process in Z_16 based on a user-defined key. In the second phase, three types of fundamental quantum operators are employed: creation, annihilation, and crossing, which are sequentially connected. The specific selection and configuration of these operators are based on their ability to avoid generating correlation between the data. The method proposed in this work is implemented using grayscale images, obtaining the Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), the Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM), and the Correlation Value, in order to evaluate the fidelity and integrity of the recovered images.

Low-rate-Denial-of-Service (LDoS) attack poses a significant threat to network service quality and even has the potential to cause network paralysis. Therefore, it is urgent to conduct research on LDoS. However, the deployment of extension modules for online attack detection in traditional networks is a formidable undertaking due to the limited flexibility and scalability inherent in conventional network equipment. Software-Defined Networking (SDN) offers a viable solution to this challenge. SDN represents an innovative network architecture that delivers both flexibility and programmability by segregating the network control Plane from the Data forwarding Plane, thereby enabling real-time detection of LDoS attack. In this paper, we implemented a real-time LDoS attack detection system on SDN, with Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) serving as the primary method for identifying LDoS attack. Furthermore, we employed RYU as the SDN controller, utilized the Mininet simulation software to create network topologies, and employed attack code to simulate a real LDoS attack environment. The XGBoost classifier is applied to detect LDoS attack in the real-time network traffic collected by the OpenFlow protocol, and its performance is compared with that of several other classifiers. Experimental results conclusively demonstrated that XGBoost exhibited the most optimal detection performance, achieving accuracy and F1 scores of 97.43% and 98.37%,respectively. © 2023 IEEE.

Defect recognition is the key to realizing automatic visual inspection and quality control in intelligent manufacturing. Deep learning (DL) has been widely applied to locate damaged areas in images, characterize impurities of materials and further analyze the quality of products. However, automatic defect detection by DL in practical industrial applications is still a challenge due to the lack of sufficient datasets and appropriate recognition methods. Here, a novel Attention Pyramid Dilated Region-based Convolutional Neural Network (ADRCNN) is proposed to realize the multi-scale defect recognition and pixel-level instance segmentation of metallographic images. We also collected a dataset containing 900 images of commercial A356 aluminum alloy with different casting defects. The ADRCNN model is evaluated on our dataset with an average detection accuracy of 87.2% and 93.3% on validation and test sets respectively. To address the overfitting problem, a pretraining fine-tuning strategy is implemented by using the pretraining weights from large-scale datasets and temporarily freezing the weights of the backbone network during the training process. The experimental results show that the proposed model can achieve satisfactory defect segmentation in metallographic images, promoting the development of intelligent manufacturing in alloy industries. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
