Epileptic seizures affect millions of people worldwide. Medical treatments exist to help lessen the severity of the damage caused by these seizures. However, people with epilepsy still struggle with unexpected seizures. People who experience epileptic seizures have Electroencephalogram (EEG) signals that show different features in comparison to a healthy brain. In this study, EEG signals are studied to detect the seizures. The incoming signals are denoised by using linear phase filters. In next step these are divided in fix-length segments. Then, each segment is broken down using the Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) into Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMFs). For an automatic identification of EEG signals, features are extracted from the collected IMFs and then processed using machine learning techniques. A dataset on epilepsy that is available to the public is used for evaluation. To determine which is the best predictor for the under-consideration dataset, four different classification methods are performed and the results are examined. The system achieves a classification accuracy of 96.70%. © 2023 IEEE.

Cloud-based data access control security systems (CSDA) are the most versatile and elegant choice for SMEs and mid-sized enterprises. Storage, The idea of 'the cloud' refers to the use of remote servers and data centers maintained by a third party, in this example, an internet service provider. There is no longer a need to invest in specialized data storage facilities due to the availability of on-demand data storage infrastructure with elastic storage capacity and variable storage prices. Authentication of Internet of Things devices is crucial for establishing that linked gadgets are what they claim to be. To reduce the likelihood of malicious behavior, access control regulates the access to the resources under the conditions. For cloud storage to function, at least one data server must be connected to the internet. Data supplied over the internet to a data server might be stored in 'the cloud,' where a copy of the data is kept. When necessary, the user may access this information through a web-based interface. The major issues with cloud computing are related to people's expectations of privacy and data security. Cryptography and other security methods may help keep personal information safe and secure. The data is separated into smaller bits by using a cloud storage service that relies on blockchain technology (BT). Then, it disperses this additional security over the network. Blockchain features such as hashing, private key encryption, and transaction ledgers make this possible. CSDA-BT cloud storage is a new approach to archiving data and other digital artifacts in the cloud. Files may be accessed and viewed from any location with an internet connection. The cloud has several benefits, including easy accessibility, backups, and high availability. To stay competitive while becoming closer to their customers, cloud storage businesses must work on lowering pricing and making storage faster. Cheap data storage enables novel forms of expression. © 2024 IEEE.

This study proposes an automatic labeling method for liver regions in Computed Tomography (CT) images, addressing the time-consuming nature of manual medical image labeling. The approach utilizes edge detection to identify overall edge distributions in CT images, constrains the region of interest to locate characteristic liver areas, and performs object segmentation to generate liver masks for labeling. The method tackles key challenges in liver CT image analysis, including image noise, blurred edge features, and minimal pixel differences in suspected tumor areas. It employs Gaussian blur for noise reduction, followed by brightness and contrast adjustments to enhance edge characteristics. The watershed algorithm is then applied to segment the complete liver contour. Performance evaluation using approximately 17,000 images from the LiTS datasets demonstrated an average accuracy of 75% for liver labeling, with a maximum of 80% and a minimum of 62%. The process achieves a labeling speed of about 1 s per 100 images, highlighting its efficiency. The proposed method shows promise in automating liver labeling in CT images, potentially streamlining the image analysis process in medical research and diagnosis. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

The article is devoted to the use of mathematical models of the dynamics of heterogeneous populations, and computer simulation based on the above models allows to identify general trends in subpopulations, predict the state of the system and obtain results on possible consequences of artificial intervention. Also, the use of mathematical models can predict the spread of genetic anomalies. The authors propose a model of subpopulation dynamics with a logistic function as a basic one. It is concluded that the system-wide dynamics of subpopulation processes depends not only on the reproductive potential of subpopulations, but also on the intrasystemic dynamics that objectively occur in such systems. The adequacy of the proposed mathematical model is proved. © 2022 IEEE.

Undoped and Indium- 3 at % doped titanium oxide thin films were deposited at 450 °C by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis technique on glass substrates. The molarity content in the starting solution was varied from 0.1 to 0.2 M to study its effect on the degradation of methylene blue (MB) dye in the photocatalytic process. X-ray diffraction patterns confirm the anatase structure of TiO2. A maximum MB degradation of about 60 % was achieved for a UV light exposition time of 210 min. The degradation behavior with respect to UV exposition time showed a linear relationship with the concentration of charge carriers, which is explicated in this work. The indium doped titanium oxide thin films deposited with 0.2 M are relatively more promising for MB degradation when the UV exposure times are larger than 120 min.

One of the most promising technologies with global impact is the Internet of Things (IoT). As IoT systems continue to mature and be implemented, they have the potential to profoundly alter how human societies produce goods, conduct business, and live their daily lives. The number of active Internet of Things gadgets and software has increased exponentially during the last few years. People appreciate IoT's advantages, but its security and privacy concerns are not being addressed at the same rate as the technology itself is progressing. Our research shows that even when wireless IoT communication is encrypted, sensitive user data may be leaked. Using a wireless sniffer stationed outside the user's home, we may infer the user's activities while at home. In this research, we offer a strategy for wireless eavesdropping that may be used too many forms of user privacy. Initially, we identify IoT events by extracting characteristics from the packet sequence. Then, we deduce the user's actions and, in certain cases, their emotional state based on the identified IoT occurrence. In addition, we may deduce the user's lifestyle, and IoT apps by studying the wireless context, which is uncovered by mining thedependencies of the IoT. By disclosing this information, the user's privacy is violated, and the attack surface that an attacker may exploit to take control of the smart home is widened. We use the SmartThings platform to test our eavesdropping methodology and apply it. The results show that our eavesdropping method is both practical and efficient. © 2023 IEEE.

Speech based communication contains both linguistic and paralinguistic information. It conveys emotions not only through its verbal communication, but also through voice characteristics such as pitch, volume, and stress. The objective of this study is to convey the child's emotion to a caretaker. To achieve this, a cross-cultural study of four emotions "joy - neutral (calm state) - sadness - anger"in children aged 8-12 years is considered. The data collection is carried out in multiple modes like acting speech in Russian and spontaneous and acting speech in Tamil language. SVM and MLP classitiers were used by the Russian specialist to train and validate speech data of both languages. The accuracy achieved by the Russian team is 84.1% and the Indian specialists used CNN and obtained the training and validation accuracy of 90% and >68% over 75 Epoch and used 7-layer CNN and obtained the training and validation accuracy of 95% and > 65% over 50 Epoch. The goal of the study is to see how well Russian and Indian specialists can recognise the emotional condition of Russian and Indian children based on their speech, and the results are correlated with computer-based emotion classification algorithms with various machine learning and deep net architectures. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper investigates the problem of specific-time state estimation for Lur'e systems with unknown inputs. By analyzing nonlinear Lur'e systems, sufficient conditions for the design of unknown input observers are provided. Then, a specific-time observer is designed, with convergence analysis illustrated. The main advantage of the designed observer can realize accurate estimation of Lur'e system in specific time. Finally, a simulation example of the third-order Chua's circuit is conducted to verify the validity of the proposed specific-time unknown input observer. © 2023 IEEE.

Power transformers play a critical role in the distribution and management of electrical energy, making their reliability and longevity of paramount importance. However, transformers are susceptible to various types of failures, which can have significant impacts on power systems. A better understanding of the common causes and impacts of transformer failures, as well as methods to improve their performance, is essential for maintaining the reliability and stability of electrical power systems. The power system network of Mellitah Complex, in the "north part of Libya", experienced a number of transformer failures. In this paper, several tests and analyses have been conducted to identify the causes of failure of the transformer in the power system, and to avoid these breakdowns in the future. Also, present two case studies on unexpected failures of power transformer tag No: 40-920-ET-061B and a generator power transformer tag No: 40-910-ET-011B in the Mellitah complex during regular operation. The research is done based on the data that are gathered from several events of transformer failure and tests. The tests are;Insulation Resistance measurement test (IR), phase conductor ohmic resistance, winding resistance test, the transformer voltage ratio test, the time of oil regeneration test, dielectric strength test, IR tests conducted at 5000V for 1 minute, and voltage injection test (ratio test). The investigation showed that the main cause of the malfunction of transformer tag No: 40-920-ET-061B is the entry of water from the rusty roof into the middle HV winding. Additionally, because of not following the maintenance procedures by the maintenance team led to the mysteries of the main cause of the failure of transformer tag No: 40-910-ET-011B. © 2023 IEEE.
