The foundation of humanity is nowadays based on ways of living that can take many forms including controlling living conditions, reappraising work practices and developing new technologies. However, most of these activities are done to satisfy people’s needs, but they have a negative impact on their health and well-being. This is the reason why man seeks ways to develop and protect himself from fatigue and anything that can harm his health by using modern technology that reduces the consumption of resources. Recently, the most used modern technology is based on the "automatism" model which is very useful in multiple fields. The technology of automated systems is rapidly evolving in terms of components, structures, advanced control systems and application areas. The objective of this paper is to implement an automatic mechanism to ensure a better and wonderful control when collecting taxes especially in developing countries. The proposed mechanism is based on a case of paying parking tax. The mechanical part of our system is controlled by an ARDUINO micro controller under which works in parallel with a Windows application on a computer to control a servomotor that operates the barrier. The detection of the coordinates of the taxpayer is done using the radio frequency identification. This control model is composed of detection and information processing system and a mobile barrier whose structure is adapted to the opening or closing geometry of the taxpayer passage. © 2023, ICST Institute for Computer sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering.

As the scale and functional capabilities of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) deployments continue to expand, the amount of data at the device end on the field site is growing exponentially, which leads to unreliable communication quality and limited network resources. To improve the performance of the communication network, this paper proposes a cloud-edge-end three-layer communication architecture that integrates edge computing technology (ECT) with cooperative communication technology. Edge servers (ES) with computing capabilities are deployed in the factory as data forwarding relays to reduce the packet loss rate of the communication network. Under the constraints of communication resources, a bandwidth release model is established to analyze the mapping relationship between computing power and bandwidth. In addition, we adopt the Stackelberg game to characterize the interaction between the factory and the ES, and construct an optimization problem that maximizes the factory utility under the constraint of the total amount of network resources. Finally, a distributed iterative algorithm based on the backward induction method is used to achieve the joint optimization allocation of computing power and bandwidth. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed solution can effectively allocate resources and improve the overall efficiency of the factory. © 2023 IEEE.

Efficient resource allocation and scheduling algorithms are essential for various distributed applications, ranging from wireless networks and cloud computing platforms to autonomous multi-agent systems and swarm robotic networks. However, real-world environments are often plagued by uncertainties and noise, leading to sub-optimal performance and increased vulnerability of traditional algorithms. This paper addresses the challenge of robust resource allocation and scheduling in the presence of noise and disturbances. The proposed study introduces a novel sign-based dynamics for developing robust-to-noise algorithms distributed over a multi-agent network that can adaptively handle external disturbances. Leveraging concepts from convex optimization theory, control theory, and network science the framework establishes a principled approach to design algorithms that can maintain key properties such as resource-demand balance and constraint feasibility. Meanwhile, notions of uniform-connectivity and versatile networking conditions are also addressed. © 2023 IEEE.

An intelligent visual navigation robot system based on Baidu paddle was developed in this research. The hardware of the system is based on the embedded AI computing card of EdgeBoard as the core controller, Woboart of the ATmega2560 core as the lower machine, and six steering gear and four degrees of freedom robotic arms to grasp and classify targets. The system software adopts paddle-lite as a deployment module for deep learning, and AI studio as a platform for model training. The car runs the program in the EdgeBoard controller, and the navigation robot will choose the strategy according to the steering curvature obtained by the model and the detected side markers, and then send the control instructions to the ATmega2560 microcontroller, so as to control the navigation robot to track or control the robot arm to make corresponding actions, which can complete the specific tasks well. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

A novel event-based decentralized optimal control is designed to handle the modular robot manipulators (MRMs) with health indicator. Firstly, the dynamics of the MRMs is established. Secondly, the developed switching threshold event-triggered mechanism is proposed. Considering the optimal tracking control performance and health status of the system, an improved value function is proposed, which is composed of the system state, control law, fault observations and health state indexes. And the health status indexes are obtained from the health monitoring of the subsystem by utilizing event-triggered health indicator. Then, an event-based critic-only neural network neural dynamic programming (NDP) algorithm is utilized to implement the event-triggered approximate optimal controller design. Finally, the Lyapunov-based stability analysis demonstrates that the MRMs is uniformly ultimately bounded. In the rapid development of modern cities, glass curtain wall structures are widely used in many high-rise buildings and large-scale comprehensive transportation hubs, becoming an important means of beautifying architectural space and enhancing the city’s image. The beautification and cleaning of curved curved glass curtain wall has become the focus and difficulty of the world’s metropolis to rectify the city appearance. In this paper, an adaptive overhead glass curtain wall cleaning robot is innovatively designed, featuring self-adaptive wall surface, strong adsorption capacity, sewage recycling and purification, compact structure, long energy-saving and environmentally friendly single working time, etc. It can stably adsorb and travel on curved curved surfaces, and flexibly, quickly and stably complete the automatic cleaning operation of overhead glass curtain wall. This paper focuses on solving the problem of surface adaptability of cleaning brush head and adsorption marching, and provides an efficient sewage recycling and purification program, which provides ideas for green urban beautification and construction development, and has important social significance, engineering practical value of a wide range of market application prospects. Adaptive high altitude glass curtain wall cleaning robot is a kind of professional cleaning robot that integrally applies the results of many technologies such as intelligent control, mechanical design and material science, which is an extended application of wall climbing robot, and its basic composition includes the robot’s mechanical system and the control system, and this chapter will elaborate the overall design scheme and the design ideas of the robot based on the functions and principles of these two parts. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Vehicular networks enable effective traffic control and security on the roads. Sustaining security and network performance depends on authentic transmission and anomaly detection. The inherent delays in conventional approaches to transmission authentication and anomaly detection limit their utility in actual-time vehicular network conditions. In this paper, we present the Deep Attentive Optimized Bidirectional Long/Short Term Memory (DABLSTM) method. The method combines the advantages of deep learning with those of attention mechanisms and bidirectional LSTM. The dataset was gathered from the Hacking and Countermeasure Research Lab (HCRL). Min-max normalization is used for data pre-processing, and then Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is used for efficient feature extraction, which optimizes the source data for our method. The DA-BLSTM method examines the approach's efficiency by evaluating its performance achieves the accuracy (91.2%), recall rate (92.8%), precision (92.3%), and F1-score (93.4%). The DA-BLSTM prevails over traditional techniques by displaying lower latency and considerably higher accuracy in detecting proper transmissions and anomalies within vehicular network data. We present a promising approach for real-time, safe, reliable, and effective authentication and anomaly identification in vehicle networks, establishing an innovative standard for vehicular communication safety. © 2023 IEEE.

A temperature and humidity monitoring and control system based on ESP8266 single-chip microcomputer is designed for showing the real-time temperature and humidity of the factory buildings and machine rooms and to control these two factors. This system takes the ESP8266-12F module as the control unit, and the DHT22 module as the temperature and humidity data acquisition module. The terminal equipment is connected to the Internet through WIFI, and the Alibaba Cloud Internet of things cloud platform can display the temperature and humidity data. The OLED screen is used for real-time data display on the worksite. After processing the data with the amplitude limiting filtering algorithm optimized by the weighted smoothing method, the algorithm is designed to control the 2-way optocoupler relay module to make the fan and the condensing fan operate. And the threshold is set for audible and visual alarm. This design is economical, practical, accurate in operation and basically does not require manual operation, and can meet the design requirements. © 2023 IEEE.

The aviation industry is significantly dependent on sophisticated technology, such as engines, avionics, and air traffic control systems, to assure the safety and efficiency of its operations. A significant proportion of commercial aviation accidents may have been averted by implementing a flying procedure wherein an incoming aircraft discontinues its landing attempt and reenters the queue for landing. The timely implementation of this approach can substantially impact mitigating the overall accident rate within the aviation industry. Hence, the main aim of this article is to effectively forecast flight landings, improve safety measures and enable informed decision-making in complex situations for both autonomous and human-operated aircraft using a Deep Learning algorithm such as long short term memory (LSTM). The performance of LSTM compared with machine learning (ML) technique like Support Vector Machines (SVM) and logistic regression algorithm in terms of sensitivity and specificity © 2023 IEEE.

Due to the randomness of traffic in the computing power network and the diversity of paths, congestion is inevitable. When network congestion occurs, it will cause increased queuing delay, low network utilization, resulting in deterioration of application performance. Nowadays, there are many congestion control methods. By continuously adjusting the transmission rate of the end side, the capacity of the incoming network is finally approached as close as possible to the carrying capacity of the network to solve the congestion problem in the network. However, the current mainstream method has the disadvantages of insufficient control precision and is incapable of self-adaptive adjustment. Therefore, it is necessary to propose a new type of intelligent congestion control algorithm based on deep reinforcement learning to achieve more active control capabilities and more precise rate regulation, and to achieve the goals of full bandwidth, low latency, fast convergence, and excellent fairness.
