The existing unsupervised random walk keyphrase extraction model mainly relies on the global structural information of the word graph. It ignores the external structure and topic information of the document. To address this problem, this paper proposes a keyphrase extraction method that integrates word sense similarity and document implicit topic information. First, the latent Dirichlet allocation (LDA) topic model is used to calculate the implicit topic distribution in the document. It can quantify the preference of each word for different topics in the document. The random jump probability in the graph is converted into the importance of the word on the implicit topic. Secondly, the word sense similarity is introduced to reset the influence between different words. The importance weights of the words in the original word graph are converted into non-uniform transfer. Finally, the candidate keyword weights are calculated through iteration. The selected keywords are expanded into valid keyphrases based on the grammar. The TopN candi-date keyphrases with higher importance scores are selected as document keyphrases. The improved algorithm performs better than TextRank and SingleRank. The Fl-Scores are improved by 8.51 % and 4.92 % respectively. Experimental results show that this method can make full use of document topic information and word sense similarity. It makes the automatic keyphrase extraction effect more significant. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper proposes a stochastic model predictive control strategy to address power system inertia reduction and frequency control issues due to the integration of renewable energy sources. The approach considers uncertainties in load and renewable energy. Firstly, a predictive model is established to simulate the participation of various resources in automatic generation control, and the corresponding model predictive optimization problem is formulated. Then, a stochastic optimization method based on a scenario approach is used. This method transforms the uncertain optimization problem into a deterministic one by sampling multiple uncertainty variables and approximating the scenario using the Wasserstein distance. The results demonstrate that stochastic model predictive control outperforms conventional PI control and model predictive control without considering uncertainty in automatic generation control.

To address the issue of manually placing plug-seedlings into the seedling feeding mechanism in current pepper transplanting machines, and considering the high cost of electromechanical systems, this paper presents a design for an automatic plug-seedling feeding and plug-seedling cell feeding system based on Arduino. The system employs three stepper motors and thirteen cylinders working in coordination to achieve automatic plug-seedling transportation and synchronized plug-seedling cell feeding. Using the Arduino IDE, a control program was developed, and an electrical control system was constructed, followed by plug-seedling delivery experiments. The experimental results indicate that when the plug-seedling carrier is inclined at 35°, the delivery success rate reaches 93.74%. The system is reliable and stable, offering new ideas for future automation control.

In order to realize the intelligent mining mode of the shearer, this paper designs a remote 5G wireless control device to implement remote wireless control of the shearer. The device consists of two main components: upper computer system and receiving system. Among them, the upper computer system sends control commands through the 5G network and transmits them to the receiving system;The receiving system is used to receive signals from the upper computer, control the remote controller of the shearer to perform corresponding operations, and achieve the purpose of controlling the shearer. The remote wireless control device solves the problems of poor working environment and high safety risk of shearer workers in traditional control. At the same time, the introduction of 5G network, which has the characteristics of low delay and high reliability, has realized the purpose of remote wireless control of the shearer in the centralized control room. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This research work for optimal automatic generation control (AGC) of two area and four area power systems with diverse energy sources tuned with area control error (ACE) and brief summary of gray wolf optimization technique (GWO) in comparisons with particle swarm optimization (PSO), and firefly optimization are shown. This system establish connection for power systems as extended as thermal, diesel, nuclear, and many more sources interconnected with hybrid resources like solar power, wind energy, hydro power, electric vehicles, micro-grid, and smart grid. The interconnection of different sources with two areas, multi area and tie-line control with several controlling algorithms and soft computing techniques discussed. The automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) has been developed with the automated purpose of maintaining voltage stability for synchronous generators. This structure is often controlled by installation of the Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller. Contemporary heuristic approaches further inspired scholastic pursuits which advocate numerous innovative PID-based optimization techniques. Nevertheless, offsetting of such benefits and precision on disproportionate theoretical outcome by existence of modelling errors and uncertainties has necessitated continuous effort in tuning the PID controller. Considering possible jeopardizing of operational effectiveness and consistency through manualized optimization of controller's parameters, the current study essentially secured the effectiveness of a PID-controlled AVR system through online tuning. The adopted indirect design technique emphasized exclusive optimization of frequency shift constant of a formerly optimized PID controller as employed within an AVR structure. Enhancement of control efficacy and operation is achievable through revised parameters in the earlier PID controller from an updated frequency shifted constant. Compatibility of the introduced optimization mechanism was contrasted against parameters of the formerly optimized PID controller on the account of maximum sensitivity, gain and phase margins. Conducted simulations demonstrate substantial enhancement in performance of AVR structure with PID con-troller through parametric refining of the introduced mechanism. © 2023 IEEE.

Synchronous machines and grid-following converters exhibit nonlinear second-order differential equations that rule their synchronization dynamics. Furthermore, the attraction exerted by the stable equilibrium points is limited to a certain region of attraction. In small networks, where a single generator is connected to an infinite bus, the region of attraction is bounded by curves, and can be plotted in a plane. Hence, this paper presents a simplified version of the reverse trajectory method for identifying the region of attraction of an equilibrium point. The selection of the initial conditions is backed with physical arguments, and the performance of the method is tested with different parameters. A three-phase short circuit is also tested to verify the consistency of the boundaries obtained with this technique. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

In today's world, new energy science is gradually advancing, and a number of advances are taking place. Consequently, electric vehicles (EV) are being predictable by people around the world and are becoming increasingly popular in several countries. Electric vehicles are becoming increasingly popular, but their rapid growth has resulted in a number of problems, including a lack of charging stations, uneven distribution and high costs. In order to overcome such issues, this paper proposed a method for improving the charge scheduling of electric vehicles using ACA algorithm. In this way, decentralized chargers will be able to learn decentralized charger control strategies more effectively because they have access to a common replay of previous operations. The implementation of EV charging stations is examined in this paper due to the importance of charging station infrastructure. Its goal is to consider a variety of restrictions, such as, the charging station's power, typical amount of time needed for each recharge and daily travel times. Electric vehicle DG optimization is scheduled using the Andean Condor Algorithm (ACA) method as well as the Network Reconfiguration (NR) is carried out to minimize the power losses. By satisfying the grid's requirements for the charging schedule, this method minimize the active as well as reactive power losses in the distribution networks. The reliability of the charging system schedule is improved and overall power losses are entirely eliminated by the proposed technique. According to the MATLAB simulation results, ACA greatly reduces distribution system overall losses by placing charging units. © 2023 IEEE.

A small signal stability assessment method based on support vector regression (SVR) and a small signal stability preventive control method based on SVR sensitivity analysis are presented in the paper, to improve the analysis speed of small signal stability preventive control. First, damping ratio prediction SVR models of low frequency oscillation mode for small signal stability are trained offline and the optimum parameters are obtained by grid searching and 5-fold cross validation. During the process of online application, the trained SVR models are used to predict the damping ratios of the concerned low frequency oscillation modes. When one of the predicted damping ratios is less than a certain threshold, it is determined as a poor or negative damping mode, and then small signal stability preventive control is started. In the process of preventive control, for poor or negative damping low frequency oscillation modes, the sensitivities of the damping ratios with respect to the control variables (the active power of controllable generators) based on SVR model are calculated and then the control amounts of generator active power are obtained by solving an optimization model. Multiple iterations are needed to make the damping ratios meet specific requirements. Case analysis results show that the effective control measures can be obtained by the presented method and the computing speed is faster than the traditional eigenvalue analysis method. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper describes a novel approach to introduce early undergraduate and high schools to humanoid robotics. Instead of building a full humanoid robot, we start with the construction of a single leg, and analyze its kinematic and dynamic behavior. The approach is heavily based on writing various programs to solve and visualize the domains. We introduce and derive fundamental principles of the forward and inverse kinematics of a humanoid robot. The inverse kinematics are approximated using the Jacobian pseudo-inverse method. The control of the motion of a robot is introduced using the versatile PID controller. We designed two new challenge problems to motivate students with our exposition. First, a marble maze game is mounted on the leg and using their understanding of the kinematics, students implement a program to roll the ball from the start to the goal area. Secondly, we implement 1D and 2D ball balancing challenges for a ball on a plane. The paper finishes by introducing a set of modern web technologies that can be used to implement portable and efficient real-time control and simulation of robot systems. © 2023 IEEE.
