The series-end winding motor drive (SWMD) with the stator windings connected in the same polarity is very attractive because it can achieve the same high voltage utilization as the full-bridge topology with fewer bridges. However, fewer bridges reduce the control freedom. When the multiplexing intermediate bridge is in open-circuit fault, the motor drive system cannot generate stable torque. Another topology with the reverse connection of the intermediate winding has the full-range open-circuit fault-Tolerant capability, but its voltage utilization is less attractive. This article systematically compares the drive performance and fault tolerance of these two kinds of SWMDs. © 2022 IEEE.

Large-scale integration of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) into power grids reduces the system inertial response. Reduced inertial response results in high Rate-of-Change-of-Frequency (RoCoF) and poses operational challenges regarding the grid frequency stability. The need for Fast Frequency Response (FFR) like Synthetic Inertia control (SIC) is recognized globally as one of the potential solutions to this challenge. This paper proposes a novel SIC control strategy in an islanded microgrid framework with DERs like wind, photovoltaic, Energy Storage Systems (ESS), Diesel generator and inverters. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is applied to tune the SIC droop, the damping and inverter the time constant. Furthermore, a PID controller is implemented for fine tuning of the synthetic inertia constants. The proposed approach is examined in a control area with distinct degrees of DERs and load. Case studies and numerical results demonstrate about 94% improvement in RoCoF and 72% improvement in the frequency nadir. © 2022 IEEE.

Gas leakage is a major problem which causes vulnerable accidents in the domestic areas, residential premises, industrial sector, etc. Among many other applications, home Security is one of the major concerns due to the increase usage of LPG pipelines. The gas leakage has become a common issue. In homes, Liquefied Petroleum gas (LPG) is a known fuel source that is used especially in urban areas. The add-on advantage is its cleanliness as compared to wood and coal. Gas leaks are a source of great concern among residences, studios and vehicles like buses and gas-powered vehicles. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the functioning, design and the future of the automatic gas leak detection system that also alert the user by sending a message using the GSM module, ring buzzer alarm to alert people present locally at the location and control gas leakage (by exhaust functionalities). The another aim is to promote the use of such automatic gas leak protection system based on a gas sensor that can easily detects gas leaks like LPG, smoke, etc. A straightforward way to prevent gas-related hazards is to install and deploy a gas leak detection system or kit as proposed work, in high-risk areas. © 2022 Bharati Vidyapeeth, New Delhi.

In the subject of corpus linguistics, this study explores the use of transformer-based neural networks to the problems of predictive text production in multilingual contexts. The Transformer architecture presents a viable framework for natural language processing problems because of its reputation for capturing complex patterns and long-range dependencies in sequential data. The research employs a two-phase approach, whereby the Transformer is first pre-Trained using a variety of multilingual corpora. This helps the model learn representations that are independent of language, which makes it easier for it to adapt to various linguistic circumstances. The model is then fine-Tuned using language-specific datasets to improve its ability to produce linguistically nuanced and contextually appropriate text. The study looks into how different model architectures, training methods, and hyperparameters affect how well the suggested multilingual predictive text generation system performs. Evaluation measures are used to evaluate the model's performance in several languages, including linguistic diversity measurements, BLEU scores, and perplexity. The overall accuracy, calculated across all languages, stands at 80.3%, indicating the model's robust cross-lingual generalization and its effectiveness in capturing diverse linguistic nuances The efficacy and generalization of Transformer-based models are improved across a wide range of languages to handle linguistic diversity. © 2024 IEEE.

In modern intelligent manufacturing, when using industrial robots to complete precision machining of lithium battery heat dissipation housing materials such as assembly, grinding, polishing, and deburring, it is not only necessary to track the position of the robot's end effector, but also to consider the contact force generated when the actuator contacts the working environment. This project takes the research on position and force control in robot automatic polishing process as the starting point. Due to the uncertainty and high degree of nonlinearity in the control process, machine vision is introduced into the process of robotic precision machining systems, combining visual inspection systems and feedback control systems to achieve grinding trajectory planning, verify the feasibility of the control scheme, and develop a robotic lithium battery housing material processing experimental platform to meet the requirements for precision machining of the free surface of the lithium battery heat dissipation workpiece, The surface roughness parameters of the lithium battery heat dissipation workpiece after precision machining by the robot should meet the requirements of the arithmetic mean deviation of the contour. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The prime motive of this proposed paper is to provide measures for the advancement of hilly highways. This research paper shows the control of streetlights which is automatic. As a result, it is much energy efficient from the traditional systems as it is equipped with the modern technologies. It provides a solution for saving energy resources, which is achieved by sensing an approaching vehicle with the help of IR sensors following that, the series of street lights starts glowing ahead of the vehicle with a high intensity. As the vehicle passes, the trailing lights starts dimming automatically. Thus, results in saving a lot of energy. If there are no vehicles on the highway, then all the lights will remain dim. Also, hilly terrains have curved roads which make them highly prone to accidents. In order to provide a solution to the problem, this paper also gives an accident protection system curve which alerts the driver coming from other end, this reduces the possibility of vehicle collision. © 2022 IEEE.

Recent days have changed tremendously, and rules are strictly being deployed to maintain social distancing, avoid crowding and frequent hand washing. Frequent washing of hands using our domestic water by a mass crowd result in water wastage which is a huge loss for our society. A better solution to sanitize the hands with reduced water wastage is attempted in this study. With technological advancements in engineering, several solutions and cope-up methods are being given to combat the spread of COVID-19 in this pandemic era. As an attempt, this study develops a Fog based Contactless Handwash kit which uses the Mis Spray method to sanitize the hands. The mist consists of water vapour and herbal sanitizer which is skin-friendly to humans. This kit is suggested to be deployed in public places to avoid the spreading of the virus since it is in a complete contactless manner. It is developed with an Atmega based microcontroller, NodeMCu,ultrasonic sensor and mist spray module economically. The outcomes of the developed handwash kit serve to optimally favour the preventing behaviour in this pandemic time. This study gives way for further research studies on the automatic sanitizing methods to combat the spread of the virus and its variants. © 2022 IEEE.

In view of the current situation that the components and attribute information of the three-dimensional design model of the transmission and transformation project cannot meet the requirements for the calculable quantity and accuracy of the automatic technical and economic calculation in the design stage of the project, this paper proposes a research method of automatic technical and economic calculation based on the improved three-dimensional model of UHV project. Firstly determine the work basis for the research, sort out the quantity items and characteristic information under the technical and economic dimension to build the budgetary estimate quota model of UHV project;Then sort out the component structure and attribute information of the 3D design model to discuss the mapping between the budgetary estimate quota information model and the 3D design model, and propose the improvement method of the 3D design model of the UHV project;Finally, design the mapping rules between the improved 3D model and the budgetary estimate quota information model and achieve the research that economic calculation of UHV project based on improved 3D model. © 2023 IEEE.

Mechanical Energy Storage Systems (MESS) Technologies continue to pose huge challenges to electrical grids. The MESS model is intended to provide an extremely flexible facility to the electrical grids that engaged in harmonizing energy resources and demand loads in order economic impact, secure electric-power supplies at effectively delivering sustainable and high power quality. Moreover, the electrical grids can begin to derive full benefits from a powerful combination of distributed renewable energy resources (RER). The contribution of this paper aims to involve implementing innovative MESS technologies that work hand in hand with greater efficiency, energy-efficient, and rapid response to integrate electrical grids cope with intelligent techniques such as particle swarm optimization (PSO), artificial neural network (ANN), and fuzzy logic controller (FLC). These intelligent controllers are being actively considered to regulate the power from MESS technologies to integrate within the electrical grids. As result, the main concern of this paper is to provide critical analysis of main technologies in electrical MESS that are particularly suitable for evolving the electrical grid and their applications. © 2022 IEEE.
