Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is gaining attention for its flexibility in programmability. It enhances network configuration and provides global visibility for administrators via a single interface. However, the centralized nature of SDN exposes many issues in scalability and resiliency. In this paper, with the advent of cloud computing, we present a containerized architecture capable of fast scaling up and down based on traffic load for SDN control plane. With our novel traffic-adaptive algorithm, the results show that the proposed system is able to fit performance with high incoming new-flow requests and scale down underused controllers for resource efficiency. © 2023 IEEE.

Transcribing electric guitar solo in real-world performance is challenging because of the interference of background accompaniments, the strong coupling between music pitch and playing technique, and the limited resource of data annotation. To address these issues, we first propose a new guitar solo dataset for this task. Then, we propose a transcription model which learns an output space jointly constructed with notes, playing techniques, and two sets of meta-class labels named note states and technique groups, such that the model can harness the layered relationship among different note-level event and playing technique classes. The proposed model outperforms the state-of-the-art guitar solo transcription and note transcription models. © 2023 IEEE.

This project focuses on the development of an automated screw jack system controlled through a smartphone interface for convenience, safety, and efficiency. It consists of a 12V DC electric motor, microcontroller-based control circuitry, and a power screw made of high-strength steel. The major problem addressed in this project is that the operation of screw jacks is mostly manual and may be cumbersome and not safe, especially when heavy vehicles are being lifted. This therefore calls for an automatic screw jack to be developed for lifting loads up to 1000 kg at an average lifting speed of 10 seconds for a 20 cm elevation. The features were complimented by other safety features such as load monitoring, anti-drop mechanisms, and an emergency stop function. The approach involved in this project encompasses design, fabrication, and testing. Performance tests focused on speed, load capacity, and reliability of operation. Tests showed that with this system, there was the possibility of its running continuously for over 50 lifting cycles without failure, lifting heavy loads efficiently while maintaining safety. Further convenience and usability were added to the system by the inclusion of the Web Interface. The automated screw jack will be an incredibly significant upgrade over the conventional jacks in terms of offering a safer, more efficient, and user-friendly operation in performing vehicle maintenance and repair tasks. Results of this project showed that it is possible to perform further optimizations related to load capacity and power consumption. © 2024 IEEE.

Currently, news has revealed powerful attackers who can breach the confidentiality of data by means of secretly obtaining cryptographic keys. The keys are obtained through threats within software cryptography. When the encryption key gets exposed, the lone reasonable act is used for maintaining the confidentiality of data to confine the attacker access to the ciphertext. The Confining attacker's access is accomplished using widening blocks for ciphertext over servers within several administrative domains. Thus, presuming the adversary will not pose danger. However, once encryption of data is done using prevalent designs then the process of encryption key adversary will be compromised with a single server as it will decrypt to perform encryption over the blocks of ciphertext. An adversary perceives the encryption key and will possess it for accessing a huge portion of the ciphertext blocks. The present research paper will review the existing encryption-decryption techniques for achieving Secure, Scalable, and Fine-grained Data Access control in Cloud computing. © 2022 IEEE.

In order to solve the problem that suspension insulator in substation cannot effectively implement zero value detection, a terminal tool for suspension insulator resistance detection robot based on wireless remote control is designed and researched, which realizes the autonomous walking of the tool on insulator string in substation and the measurement of insulator resistance. The mechanical design, electrical system design, and experimental studies of the terminal tool for insulator resistance detection robots are presented emphatically. The test results show that the designed terminal insulator detection tool meets the requirements for suspension insulator detection in substations. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. The goal of the article is the design of a Mayfly Optimization-PID controller (MO-PIDC) to inject an ideal dose of insulin via AP for control of BG level in the Type-I Diabetes Mellitus (TIDM) patients. This classical controller with optimization technique is seen to improve performance and to make the system robust. Robustness is to be improved by considering control parameter as a function of error. This is utilized in the proposed novel control technique. The nonlinearities present in TIDM patient framework cause BG control issues. The use of AP based Mayfly optimization algorithm efficiently to maintain BG level in the range of normo-glycemia. This proposed patient model with MO-PIDC is analyzed for improved accuracy and stability, enhanced robustness, noise suppression, and better ability to handle uncertainties. © 2022 IEEE.

At present, the world is facing the shortage of fossil energy, environmental degradation and other problems, more and more electronic equipment loads are connected to the grid and the complex power system structure to the transient stability of the power grid to lay hidden dangers. In order to minimize the damage and economic loss caused by transient instability to the power grid, how to reasonably carry out emergency braking has become the key to solve the problem. Considering that the energy storage system has good adaptability to different instability situations, the advantages of frequency regulation are very significant. Energy storage power can be used as an important link in transient emergency control, and emergency load cutting coordinated control to ensure system stability. In order to reduce the amount of emergency control and improve the frequency of the system after load cutting, this paper proposes an emergency control strategy with load cutting as the main part and energy storage device as the auxiliary part. According to the system destabilization after the energy storage power supply to participate in the regulation of multiple types of unit system to determine the equivalent model. The SOC valuation of the energy storage power supply is taken into account with the control amount required to restore stability of the participating system. Quantify the capacity of energy storage participation in transient emergency load shedding control strategies. Design the coordinated control between energy storage power output and load shedding. Simulation experiments are carried out in an urban power grid simulation system, and through the comparison of different emergency control schemes, the simulation results show that the transient stabilization emergency control strategy of energy storage power participating in regulation can effectively improve the transient stability, reduce the amount of emergency control load cutting, and alleviate the pressure on the po

The unmanned lunar rover exploration mission is generally carried out in the way of ground tele-operation, in which the ground control center cooperates with the rover uniformly to complete the scientific detection target. The operations team must generate the future plan composed of activities in timelines for rover and each post of the ground control center. Due to the uncertainty of the lunar environment and temporal constraints, the traditional manual mission planning method is no longer adapt to the special demand. This paper proposes an automatic mission planning method for the tele-operation of lunar exploration rovers, which realizes the path planning of navigation points and activities planning at each navigation point. The interior and external constraints of activities are analyzed, and the domain modeling is described by the object-orient planning modeling language. Using the sequential backtracking strategy in the planning database, the planning result meeting various constraints is gradually obtained through conflict resolution, and the scientific exploration goal is completed on the basis of the initial task state. It is verified by experiments that the execution performance of our method meets the mission requirements practically, and the effectiveness of this method is confirmed. High-accuracy mechatronic systems require a con-trol algorithm to realize trajectories or positions. On the other hand, the acquisition of data and embedded system design configurable is a very important part to guarantees processing in hardware, high performance, reception, and send of data that generally is defined by the applications to which it is intended. Therefore, the increasing demands in the improvement of the accuracy systems based on modern programable devices are being applied in the scientific and engineering areas. This paper presents a novel mechatronic approach to experimental validation of a feed drive system with ball screw. The description of an original FPGA-based configurable design is introduced which consists of an own design approaches of hardware architecture. Finally, based on a built prototype of a feed drive system with ball screw, the PID controller implemented and the mathematical model, in both cases, were applied in order to establish the comparison between the responses, seeking to observe if the experimental results show a great difference with respect to the simulation data. A cost-effective solution using a single chip low-cost FPGA for feed-drive system is presented to the closed-loop control present approximately the same response as that of the system model used in the simulation. Experimental results demonstrate an excellent positioning control and processing performance of the data configured on the FPGA Firmware, which validates the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposal.
