This paper proposes the use of Multi-Agent Twin Delayed Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (MATD3) to resolve the issues accompanied with Multi-Agent Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (MADDPG) such as the overestimation bias of a centralized critic when used to solve the multi-robot flocking control problem. A temporal difference error prioritized replay buffer is used alongside to achieve the most efficient learning process. In order to allow the robots to maintain a flock throughout a complex environment, an appropriate reward function was constructed, taking into consideration the following parameters: reaching the goal, maintaining a distance between the agents to ensure a stable connection while avoiding collision between one another, obstacle avoidance, and moving in a specific formation. Results of both algorithms are then compared to test the performance of the MATD3. © 2022 IEEE.

In order to solve the problems of long cycle and the difficulty of test, this paper proposes a method of power-in-the-loop motor simulator. Firstly, the topology of the motor simulator is proposed, composed of an interface filtering unit, a motor simulation unit and an energy management unit. Secondly, a discretization method for permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) is designed for DSP control. Thirdly, this paper proposes a method combining quasi-proportional resonance control(QPR) and direct current control to ensure the control accuracy. Finally, the motor simulator is verified by experiments. © 2024 IEEE.

The paper examines applicability of a line of the narrow-band filters in analyzing the speech disorders. It describes a method for processing the speech signals using a line of the narrow-band filters and provides mathematical description of the complex-valued first-order filter that could be introduced as the narrow-band filter. Experiment results showed that based on the set of responses obtained using the proposed line of the narrow-band filters it becomes possible to determine whether speech disorders are present in the original speech recording. Analyzing the work results made it possible to conclude that the filter responses could be successfully used as the input data in various modules identifying and classifying the speech disorders. © 2024 IEEE.

When pest infestations damage plants and crops, it affects the country's agricultural output. In order to detect any signs of disease, farmers or specialists of ten keep a constant eye on the plants. However, this process is typically in efficient, costly, and time-consuming. Quick and accurate results are obtained by automatic detection using image processing techniques. Crops are vulnerable to numerous diseases caused by bacterial, viral, and fungal pathogens along with in sect in festations. Correct control measures cannot be implemented at the right time for a disease without an accurate disease diagnosis. Earlier disease detection serves to prevent damage and lessens the probability of crop loss. When problems are discovered early on, crops can also be treated with a little dosage of pesticide and fungicide application. © 2023 IEEE.

Unlike traditional computing, soft computing solves difficult real-world problems and works with approximation models. Soft computing is more forgiving of approximations, ambiguity, partial truth, and imprecision than hard computing. The human mind is, in a sense, the ideal model for soft computing. Techniques like fuzzy logic, machine learning, genetic algorithms, expert systems, and artificial neural networks are the foundation of soft computing. Even though soft computing theory and methods were initially presented in the 1980s, automatic control engineering currently uses them as a major area of research and study. Soft computing techniques are currently being successfully applied in a wide range of commercial, industrial, and household applications. Soft computing techniques and application areas are expected to grow further with the introduction of low-cost, outstanding-performance digital processing units and the falling cost of memory chips. The purpose of this paper is to discuss embracing uncertainties and approximation for intelligent problem-solving with the help of soft computing. First, the study has discussed various soft computing systems. Moreover, the concept of fuzzy logic has been illustrated along with a description of its applications. In terms of research methodology, this research paper has followed a qualitative research approach by gathering knowledge based on reviewing a wide range of different studies regarding the research topic. According to the findings of this research, as computer processing units get cheaper and more powerful, intelligent systems and soft computing techniques become more significant. Complex algorithms must be used by intelligent systems to make difficult judgments and select the optimal solution from a range of options. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents a novel approach to home automation utilizing the MQTT protocol. The system is implemented using an ESP32 node and a Node-RED server running on a Raspberry Pi, allowing users to control the system from the Raspberry Pi as well as client terminals. The proposed system enables users to control and monitor home appliances remotely from anywhere. By using the lightweight MQTT protocol, the system provides real-time communication between the node and the server and ensures responsive control and data monitoring. The implementation of the ESP32 node provides us flexibility and scalability, while Node-RED provides us with a user-friendly interface for system management. Experimental results validate the system's effectiveness in maintaining reliable connectivity between node and server. This work highlights the potential of MQTT-based home automation systems to provide enhanced control and monitoring capabilities in modern smart homes. © 2025 IEEE.

This paper addresses the need for automatic pain recognition in healthcare without relying on expert feature extraction from physiological signals. Instead, it introduces a deep learning approach that combines classification and feature extraction methods by incorporating multi-level information for accurate pain discrimination. Experimental results are based on BioVid Heat Pain database and Emopain-2021 dataset, which demonstrate its superiority in high accuracy over conventional methods. Notably, in the classification of Pain-0 and Pain-4, the approach achieves average of 84.8% and 87.8% accuracies in cross-validation tests. This research harnesses the power of deep learning to improve pain recognition using physiological signals, eliminating the need for extensive medical expertise. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper proposes the rotor speed control of oscillating water column (OWC) wave energy conversion system to achieve the maximum power point tracking (MPPT). The proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control scheme is used to vary the rotor speed. Next, the tuning of PID controller is performed using the following optimization techniques: nonlinear programming and metaheuristic approaches such as simulated annealing (SA), genetic algorithm (GA), and particle swarm optimization (PSO). An integral time absolute error (ITAE) form of fitness function has been selected for obtaining the PID parameters. Then, a comparative study is performed to analyze the efficacy of PID controlled OWC with different optimization approaches. Numerical simulations have been performed for obtaining the OWC time response of rotor speed with different optimization methods. Finally, the advantage of the use of metaheuristic optimization techniques for tuning PID controller has been discussed using simulation results. © 2024 IEEE.

Managing electrical Energy has become crucial nowadays where everything we use works on electrical energy. Utilizing energy in an efficient and effective way can save a lot of energy. Reducing unnecessary usage of electrical current can lead to lowering carbon emission and also can directly benefit the production cost in industries. This reduction is possible when we continuously monitor the usage of the current when it's being utilized. In order to overcome this problem our novel idea proposes a state of art algorithm such as the Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) model which is the link between one observation and several lagged observations of the same series modeled by the autoregressive component. In essence, it depicts how the current value is linearly dependent on its own historical values. Linear regression is a prevalent statistical technique utilized to model the association between a dependent variable and one or more independent variables. When it comes to energy consumption, linear regression can be used to examine and forecast patterns of energy use depending on a variety of influencing factors. To improve the accuracy of the proposed work, the use of Time Series Analysis aids in making the system more reliable and efficient. We have developed a system in which an all-in-one energy management solution provides a platform where we can control this wastage and manage all equipment in one place. Our proposed system monitors electrical energy using various IOT sensors to continuously monitor energy utilization and predicting the usage earlier to help the industries to make better financial plans. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent times, there has been a growing trend of utilizing neural networks in the field of prediction engineering, particularly in the domain of solar radiation predictions. This particular research study delves into the application of two types of neural networks, namely feedforward neural networks (BPNN) and radial basis function networks (RBFN), in the task of forecasting daily solar radiation levels across various cities in Libya. The models are trained using a comprehensive dataset from 25 cities across Libya, spanning a time period of 6 years. Key parameters such as latitude, longitude, and month are taken into consideration during the training process. Subsequently, the networks are put to the test using data that was not included in the training phase. The findings of this study reveal that the performance of the two networks differs significantly when subjected to testing. Notably, the radial basis function network emerges as the superior performer, exhibiting performance metrics of 93% compared to the backpropagation neural network's slightly lower performance of 93.15%. © 2024 IEEE.
