Due to the way line drive, the continuous endoscope robot will have a certain lag in the process of movement, which will affect the accuracy and flexibility of the operation. In addition, the hysteresis and return difference caused by wire rope transmission will also increase the hysteresis effect of continuous robots. In this paper, the motion characteristics of the continuous endoscopic robot are analyzed, the hysteresis of the robot is modeled theoretically based on the Preisach model, and the effectiveness of the model is verified. Preisach hysteretic nonlinear hyperbola model predicts the bending changes under different positive and negative drives. The experimental results show that the maximum error between the model and the theoretical prediction is 3.18 degrees. The hysteresis model can predict the hysteresis characteristics of the continuous endoscope robot well. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Net of factors (IoT)-primarily based cloud networks are composed of more than one distributed computing gadget consisting of sensors, gateways, and edge servers that accumulate, examine, and save massive volumes of information. This paper discusses diverse protection mechanisms that may be used to secure information collection and control within IoT-primarily-based cloud networks. Firstly, cozy identity management strategies along with identity authentication, token-primarily based authentication, and digital certificates are mentioned to ensure the relaxed acquisition and transmission of records. Secondly, encryption techniques such as secure encryption algorithms, key control strategies, and comfortable channel protocols are mentioned to enable storage and switching of the facts in a comfy way. Eventually, safety rules and great practices, together with identification and getting the right of entry to manipulate, data anonymization, and device logging, are supplied to ensure relaxed facts control in cloud networks. Its miles understood that comfortable facts control within IoT-based totally cloud networks is essential to guarantee confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. As such, the security techniques discussed in this paper can assist in offering comfortable surroundings for the collection and management of facts in IoT-based totally cloud networks. © 2024 IEEE.

The multimedia content dissemination services with the current cellular networks still met several challenging while performing desired performance. Recently, the improvement of energy efficiency is not considered in most of the existing works and for all receiving users, they discussed about how to deliver reasonable QoS. Based on multicast network, this work proposed a novel framework to solve resource allocation as well as clustering in device-to-device (D2D). This study introduce a novel adaptive energy valley optimization (AEVO) model to enhance the clustered and power allocation with energy efficient. While considering the requirement of QoS in D2D, an efficient power control mechanism and resource allocation is maximized complete D2D multicast clusters energy-efficiency. By doing this, higher computational difficulties with energy-efficiency problems are solved by proposing novel allocation of power model. Based on the existing methods, the proposed algorithm indicated good numerical results with respect to energy consumption and throughput. © 2024 IEEE.

In integrated circuit manufacturing, a wafer map represents a pattern of defective dies or chips on a wafer. In order to identify different defective wafer maps or patterns by a deep learning model, it is essential that a balanced number of samples of different patterns of wafer maps is used to train the model. In this paper, the Enhanced CycleGAN generative network is used to generate realistic defective wafer maps for which adequate numbers of samples do not exist. The identification of defective wafer maps is then carried out without and with such a data augmentation. Based on the public domain wafer map dataset of WM-811K, it is shown that our data augmentation improves the overall identification accuracy by 6% and 38% for the two test cases examined compared to the no data augmentation cases.

Effective Energy Management (EM) in Photovoltaic (PV) systems with battery storage enhances the utilization of Renewable Energy Sources (RES), ensuring reliability in both connected and disconnected modes. Nonetheless, there is a challenge in synchronizing battery storage system with the PV systems due to increased costs when trying to manage the flow of energy during supply and demand conditions. The ARO technique is applied to the identification of optimum EM in PV system with storage batteries in this paper. The main focus for the control design is to balance the energy exchange with the grid, batteries and photovoltaic system in connected and disconnected modes. The suggested approach aims to minimize the Mean Squared Error (MSE) in the EM system and lower the cost of electricity. ARO is used to optimize the EM system's control parameters, such as the battery's charging and discharging thresholds, which improves energy efficiency and improves the PV system's performance in a variety of scenarios. At that point, the suggested approach is put into practice on the MATLAB platform and contrasted with a number of current approaches, including Spider Monkey Optimization (SMO), Manta Ray Foraging Optimization Algorithm (MMRFO), and Honey Badger Algorithm (HBA). The proposed ARO method achieves an MSE of 0.0692, demonstrating a significant improvement in accuracy over other methods in EM for PV systems with battery storage. © 2024 IEEE.

Wheelchairs are mechanically controlled devices that allow the user to move about independently using hand gestures and angle of rotation via nrf signal transmission and receiving. Driving the wheelchair requires less human effort and force. The wheelchair also has an obstacle detection system, which decreases the risk of colliding with any object that is detected along the way. These devices are particularly beneficial for moving from one location to another. The gadgets can also be utilized in healthcare facilities for elderly people who have trouble moving around. For people who have lost their mobility, the devices are a lifesaver. Hand Gesture Recognition and feature extraction via a webcam are used to control the system in real time. The image is recorded using a webcam connected to the system, which is then processed and smoothed before being detected to control the volume and mouse virtually. This paper also presents the experimental results based on hand movements. © 2023 IEEE.

Machine translation (MT) converts one language to another automatically. One of the major challenges of MT is evaluating the performance of the system. There are many automatic evaluation metrics available these days. But the results of automatic evaluation metrics are sometimes not reliable. In this paper, we have attempted to address this issue by considering another type of evaluation strategy, i.e., syntactic evaluation in Bangla-to-English translation. We have attempted to address the problems of automatic evaluation metric BLEU and, thereby, how syntactic evaluation could be helpful in achieving higher accuracy is discussed. In our syntactic evaluation, we have exploited the use of parts of speech (POS) during computing evaluation scores. A comparative analysis is done on different types of evaluations such as syntactic, human, and automatic on a low-resourced English–Bangla language pair. A correlation indicates syntactic evaluation score correlates more with the human evaluation score compared to the normal BLEU score. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In this work the progression of damage is illustrated by reducing the preload in a bolted joint and subsequently losing one or more joints in a prototype of the assembly between the main beam of a semi-wing with the torsion box of an airplane using the Natural Frequencies Vector Assurance Criterion (NFVAC) and the Damage Natural Frequencies Vector Assurance Criterion (DNFVAC) supported by experimental tests applying Experimental Modal Analysis (EMA) and simulation by means of the Finite Element Method (FEM) for applications in Structural Health Monitoring (SHM).

This paper presents the experimental implementation of Maximum Torque per Ampere (MTPA) control for an Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) developed indigenously, where knowledge of motor parameters was initially lacking. The paper discusses the resolution of various challenges encountered in IPMSM speed control. These challenges include limitations imposed by high direct axis inductance (Lds) and quadrature axis inductance (Lq) on per phase stator voltage, which restrict the motor's speed and loading capacity below levels specified by the manufacturer. Additionally, the paper addresses issues related to motor starting and the intricate implementation of the MTPA algorithm in a DSP microprocessor. The strategies adopted to overcome these challenges are discussed, and experimental results are provided to illustrate the efficacy of the implemented MTPA control strategy. © 2024 IEEE.

This article discusses droop control schemes for various types of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The SOC-based droop control scheme, aims to maintain equal State of Charge (SOC) among multiple BESSs. However, this approach results in different incremental costs for different battery types. To minimize the total battery degradation cost, IC-based droop control scheme is discussed. This scheme distributes the current among different types of batteries in such a way that they operate at the same incremental cost. The effectiveness of discussed con-Trol schemes was evaluated through simulation studies using a test system with different types of BESS and varying load conditions. The DC bus voltage was kept constant using secondary control. This research provides useful insights into the optimal control of BESS to reduce the total degradation cost. © 2024 IEEE.
