This paper presents an Arduino based automatic synchronizer designed for microgrids, aiming to enhance the synchronization process in distributed power generation systems. The proposed system utilizes Arduino as the central control unit to monitor and synchronize multiple generators within the microgrid. Real time measurements of frequency, phase angle, and voltage deviations across the microgrid components are obtained using ZMPT101B voltage sensors, enabling accurate synchronization. The system incorporates an intelligent synchronization algorithm implemented on the Arduino controllers. To establish or break the connection between the generators and the microgrid, a three phase solidstate relay is utilized, eliminating the need for mechanical contacts and ensuring seamless synchronization. By continuously monitoring and adjusting generator parameters, the synchronizer enables smooth power transfer, minimizes disturbances and ensuring stable microgrid operation. The Arduino based automatic synchronizer offers a cost-effective and scalable solution for integrating renewable energy sources into microgrids. The utilization of Arduino microcontrollers, along with ZMPT101B voltage sensors and solid-state relay, contributes to improved synchronization precision, faster switching speed, reduced maintenance requirements, and enhanced overall system performance. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents a design to improve the robustness of visual SLAM(vSLAM). A processing step of feature-removal is added to the tracking thread of the conventional ORB-SLAM2 algorithm to improve the localization accuracy of a mobile robot in an environment with moving persons. Instance segmentation and motion tracking are intergrated to identify motion state of people in an image. ORB feature points belonging to moving persons are removed for further processing of the vSLAM pipeline. The advantage of this method is that the vSLAM can remove feature points of moving people, while retain those belonging to static people in the environment, which improves the accuracy of robot pose estimation. The improved ORB-SLAM2 algorithm has been implemented in a NVIDIA Xavier embedded system, which is integrated to a mobile robot. In practical robot navigation experiments, the average positioning error of the proposed method is within 4cm for 22.4m travel distance. Compared with conventional ORB-SLAM2, the average accuracy of our vSLAM method improves 97% in a dynamic environment with moving people. © 2023 IEEE.

In the process of using Chinese medicinal materials, the preservation of medicinal materials is very important. Many contemporary pharmacies lack the way to control the temperature and humidity of the warehouse in combination with modern technology, resulting in the reduction of the efficacy of preserved Chinese medicinal materials. This paper takes STM32F103C8T6 as the control core, monitors and controls the temperature and humidity of the Chinese medicine warehouse in real time on the OLED display, Design a real-time monitoring system, and use MATLAB for algorithm comparison and simulation implementation. Build a practical automatic temperature and humidity control system for Chinese medicine warehouse. This paper discusses how to help solve the influence of temperature and humidity during the preservation of medicinal materials, and enable medical nurses to monitor the temperature and humidity value of the warehouse through the host computer, so that it can adjust the temperature and humidity in addition to automatic adjustment, which requires human intervention. © 2023 IEEE.

Electrocardiogram (ECG) is a diagnostic technique which records electrical activity of the heart. Since interpretation of ECG requires expertise, development of automatic ECG analysis systems can aid clinicians. In this study, performance of Tree-based Ensemble Machine Learning models and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) were compared to classify four heart pathologies from ECG signals. ECG images were transformed into time-series signals and classifiers were evaluated based on accuracy, precision, F1 score, and recall. The tree-based ensemble methods, Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), and Random Forest (RF) demonstrated outcomes outperforming CNN by a small margin. This observation suggests Deep Learning (DL) models can perform well on tabular data. However, it is notable that these frameworks are complex, require intensive hyperparameter tuning, may fail to generalize new data and learn irregular patterns. The findings provide insights for developing more accurate and interpretable ECG classification systems. © 2023 IEEE.

The scientific council at Benghazi University suffered from issues related to the scientific promotion process for faculty members. Promotion is still done manually, without a computerized system. Therefore, it faces obstacles in obtaining basic information, issuing promotion decisions, making managerial procedures, lack of flexibility, and the accumulation of papers. There are also unclear biases in decision-making and mechanisms of evaluating promotion criteria. Thus, they need to keep up with the international universities in the promotion process to be successful in administrative business today. Benghazi University needs an information system that can support decision-making, which is a major problem often occurs in the process of promotion of faculty *** use of decision support systems is a solution to reduce subjectivity in decision-making. This work presents an E-Gate that can assist in the promotion of educational staff. It is a system able to provide the best alternative in promotion educational staff. With the decision support system, the promotion process is carried out via the E-Gate using the AHP method according to several criteria. It is stored in the cloud computing because many enterprises are adopting the cloud-computing platform to examine the benefits of self-service, user guide, and high flexibility. The time is right for the educational universities to derive benefits of the cloud, as they are obliged to deliver better ubiquitous services. The study also developed Search Engine to verify the submitted research. © 2023 IEEE.

Aiming at the problem of excessive steady-state error of electric spring with switchable smart load(SES), this paper introduces the concept and basic principle of SES and the definition of fixed angle, discusses the selection method of fixed angle, and discusses the switchable control strategy under fixed angle control. According to automatic control principle, the control process of SES stable different loads under fixed-angle control is analyzed and the principle of reducing steady-state error is given. Finally, with the help of MATLAB/Simulink software, it is verified that electric spring with switchable smart load under fixed-angle control can stabilize the voltage of key and non-critical loads at the same time, and is conducive to reducing the steady-state error. © 2023 IEEE.

The importance of precise electric demand forecasting has grown in light of the recent deregulation and privatization of power infrastructure. More accurate predictions, at all scales from end-users to the system as a whole, are required by the new energy market and smart grid paradigm. Social activities, environmental factors, and seasonal components are only a few of the many elements that make electric demand projection challenging. There is a specific order in which preprocessing, feature selection, and training the model must be executed. Using Wold's theorem, a 'prototypical' day/week was generated for use in preprocessing filters. Feature extraction is a method that particle swarm optimization use. A CNN-MRMR method was used to train the model. When contrasted with the cutting-edge CNN and MRMR, this method appears to be quite novel. With an accuracy percentage of 97.20 percent, the data showed a significant improvement. © 2024 IEEE.

Blockchain technology, the foundation of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, has utility beyond finance due to its decentralized and secure transactional nature. However, today's blockchain networks face the challenge of low transaction throughput due to block propagation delays. In this study, we propose a novel approach that divides large blocks into segments and leverages multi-origin pipelining for segment dissemination, thereby expediting block propagation. The scheme also integrates the use of a Bloom filter for lightweight segment integrity verification to prevent the reception of tampered segments. Simulation results reveal that our scheme outperforms Bitcoin's legacy approach, demonstrating significant improvement in propagation speed, particularly for large blocks, while maintaining a low fork rate. © 2024 IEEE.

Due to depletion in fossil fuel resources, alternate energies are gaining importance. Further, adverse effects of global warming, increased installation and fuel costs of conventional energy sources in remote areas motivates to switch to suitable renewable resources including fuel cells, wind energy, photovoltaic cells etc. Such renewable energy resources are clean, pollution free and cost effective as compared to conventional fuels. Due to readily availability of the photovoltaic energy, it finds most usage. There is continuous rise in applications of photovoltaic (PV) solar panels, however the output voltage obtained from it is very low. Thus, there is need for suitable control technique to enhance the output voltage level. This paper presents the comparison of two techniques namely PID control and maximum power point tracking (MPPT) techniques for voltage enhancement of a PV panel. The MPPT technique utilizes perturb and observe (P&O) algorithm. The output results of Simulink models indicates that there is a substantial increase in output voltage with good stability by MPPT (P&O) technique. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper deals with the problem of achieving formation control for underactuated multiple quadrotors without velocity measurements by employing the higher-order sliding mode (HOSM) differentiator. The primary objective of this work is to attain a coordinated formation behavior among the quadrotor group. In this paper, the dynamics of each quadrotor are transformed into a new form, wherein the attitude is described using rotation matrices. Subsequently, an intermediate guide is designed using the HOSM differentiator, taking into account the desired relative positions between the quadrotors and their actual positions. Next, the actual control thrusts and torques for each quadrotor are designed and solved by the intermediate guide. Finally, rigorous theoretical analysis and multiple simulations are performed to ensure that the multiple quadrotors converge asymptotically and accurately to the desired formation shape. © 2023 IEEE.
