The correct operation of safety-critical distributed embedded systems is crucial. Following a model-driven approach, the relevant system aspects must be captured and rigorous ideally fully-automatic analysis of (probabilistic) timed safety properties must be supported. Probabilistic Timed Graph Transformation systems (PTGTSs) support the modeling of such systems and analysis of such properties via model checking or simulation. However, they only support the modeling of probabilistic choice with a fixed numbers of outcomes and non-deterministic timing delays via timing constraints limiting applicability (descriptive expressiveness) and usefulness (precision of analysis results). To remedy this drawback of PTGTSs, we (a) extend PTGTSs to Stochastic Timed Graph Transformation systems (STGTSs) integrating discrete/continuous random variables to capture stochastic behavior and (b) outline an adaptation of PTGTS model checking for STGTSs to enable analysis w.r.t. probabilistic timed safety properties. Relying on a running example in which shuttles navigating on a track topology must avoid derailing, we exemplify STGTS support for modeling and analysis. © The Author(s) 2025.

While significant advancements have been made in music generation and differentiable sound synthesis within machine learning and computer audition, the simulation of instrument vibration guided by physical laws has been underexplored. To address this gap, we introduce a novel model for simulating the spatio-temporal motion of nonlinear strings, integrating modal synthesis and spectral modeling within a neural network framework. Our model leverages physical properties and fundamental frequencies as inputs, outputting string states across time and space that solve the partial differential equation characterizing the nonlinear string. Empirical evaluations demonstrate that the proposed architecture achieves superior accuracy in string motion simulation compared to existing baseline architectures. An algorithm for calculating the scalar product of operands in floating-point format using a table-algorithmic method and an algorithm for forming tables of macro-partial products are proposed. The Calc_T_MPP program, which forms tables of macropartial products, was implemented in the C language on a Raspberry Pi 4 based embedded system. The structure of the scalar product calculation component was developed and implemented using the hardware programming language VHDL in the development environment Quartus II ver. 13.1. The simulation of the Block _ SP component and the estimation of the time of calculation of the scalar product by it were carried out.

The paper analyzes the possibilities of modeling the distribution of resources in organizations. A methodology has been developed on the basis of which stocks of parts of heating equipment are managed. An adaptive model with dynamic parameter adjustment has been developed;A simulation model with algorithmization of the search engine optimization system has been developed. A simulation model with unplanned needs for spare parts for heating equipment has been developed. The results of the simulation demonstrated the efficiency of the proposed approach. © 2022 The Author(s).

The system design and algorithm development of mobile 3D printing robots need a realistic simulation. They require a mobile robot simulation platform to interoperate with a physics-based material simulation for handling interactions between the time-variant deformable 3D printing materials and other simulated rigid bodies in the environment, which is not available for roboticists yet. To bridge this gap and enable the real-time simulation of mobile 3D printing processes, we develop a simulation framework that includes particle-based viscoelastic fluid simulation and particle-to-mesh conversion in the widely adopted Gazebo robotics simulator, avoiding the bottlenecks of traditional additive manufacturing simulation approaches. This framework is the first of its kind that enables the simulation of robot arms or mobile manipulators together with viscoelastic fluids. The method is tested using various material properties and multiple collaborating robots to demonstrate its simulation ability for the robots to plan and control the printhead trajectories and to visually sense at the same time the printed fluid materials as a free-form mesh. The scalability as a function of available material particles in the simulation was also studied. A simulation with an average of 5 FPS was achieved on a regular desktop computer.

To strengthen food security, initiatives, such as adapting Internet of Things (IoT) technology, are often proposed to augment food production and quality. While farm operators can remotely and wirelessly monitor and control their farm systems and operations with IoT technology, conventional IoT infrastructure lacks energy-saving strategies, thereby increasing energy consumption and cost. This paper aims to design and implement a green IoT infrastructure in a containerbased multi-loop aquaponics system (CMAS). modeling and simulation of IoT architectures with and without sensor placement optimization and sampling interval optimization were conducted. simulation results reveal a considerable energy saving of up to $\mathbf{4 2. 1 \%}$ for a green IoT architecture with optimal sensor placement and a 30 -second sampling interval between IoT devices in a CMAS.
