The effectivemaintenance of power grid equipment is critical for ensuring the safe and stable operation of the power grid. In recent years, knowledge graphs have emerged as a powerful tool for representing complex relationships and knowledge in a structured and accessible format. In this paper, we proposed a knowledge graph-based approach for analyzing and diagnosing defects in power grid transformers. We first designed an ontology for defect data in the field of main transformers in power grids. The ontology included equipment information, defect descriptions, and industry-standard classification criteria. We then performed named entity recognition(NER) on textual data in the field of main transformers using the Bert-Bilstm-CRF [1-3] model to extract entities. The extracted entity information was represented using the ontology, and the ontology was embedded into a knowledge graph using models such as TransE [4]. We conducted knowledge graph completion experiments to achieve diagnosis and analysis of the defect level. Our experimental results demonstrated that this method efficiently and automatically constructs a knowledge graph of main transformers in power grids. The well-designed ontology and effective knowledge graph completion experiments also support the analysis of defect levels in main transformers in power grids. Additionally, this method can promote the understanding and management of complex systems in the field of power grid equipment.

This study suggests a novel methodology for intelligent energy management in electric vehicles (EVs) through the integration of neural networks and fuzzy logic. Achieving enhanced energy efficiency for electric vehicles is a critical concern that is tackled in this research through the integration of neural networks' decision-making and pattern recognition functionalities with fuzzy logic's adaptability and learning capabilities. The proposed method seeks to optimize energy consumption, enhance overall performance, and extend driving range. The integrated system is subjected to rigorous testing using a meticulously planned experimental setup and simulation environment, which enables it to surpass the performance of more conventional approaches to energy management. The results emphasize the potential of the novel methodology to improve environmentally sustainable transportation options and propel the development of electric vehicle technology. This study not only offers valuable insights into efficient energy management but also establishes the groundwork for subsequent developments in the domain. © 2024 IEEE.

Two fundamental problems of distributed computing are Gathering and Arbitrary pattern formation (APF). These two tasks are different in nature as in gathering robots meet at a point but in Apfrobots form a fixed pattern in distinct positions. In most of the current literature on swarm robot algorithms, it is assumed that all robots in the system perform one single task together. Two teams of oblivious robots deployed in the same system and different teams of robots performing two different works simultaneously where no robot knows the team of another robot is a new concept in the literature introduced by Bhagat et al. [ICDCN'2020]. In this work, a swarm of silent and oblivious robots are deployed on an infinite grid under an asynchronous scheduler. The robots do not have access to any global coordinates. Some of the robots are given input of an arbitrary but unique pattern. The set of robots with the given pattern is assigned the task of forming the given pattern on the grid. The remaining robots are assigned with the task of gathering to a vertex of the grid (not fixed from earlier and not any point where a robot that is forming a pattern terminates). Each robot knows to which team it belongs, but can not recognize the team of another robot. Considering weak multiplicity detection, a distributed algorithm is presented in this paper which leads the robots with the input pattern into forming it and other robots into gathering on a vertex of the grid on which no other robot forming the pattern, terminates. © 2023 IEEE.

SONAR transducers that are used for underwater object detection and navigation applications require pulse power in the range of ten to hundreds of kilowatts with variable frequency and amplitude electrical signals. This is typically implemented with several stages of converters at the heart of which is the DC-AC Class-D Power Amplifiers which in turn is supplied by a suitable DC-DC converter such as Phase Shifted Full Bridge (PSFB) converter. The pulse powered operation can be realized by either varying the modulation index or by controlling the input DC source of the Power Amplifier. However, delivering higher power in short bursts of few milliseconds requires precise control of the DC-DC converter transients. Phase Shifted Full Bridge converter is one of the most efficient DC-DC converter that is capable of delivering variable power by varying the phase shifted operation. An attempt is made in this paper to study the performance of various compensators for the PSFB control and thereby arrive at selection and design methodology of suitable compensator as per the application requirement. The PSFB plant model is validated by comparing with the small signal frequency response obtained from the PLECS simulation platform. For the obtained plant model, design and analysis of various compensators is presented and its performance is evaluated through experimental results. © 2023 IEEE.

Merkle tree is applied in diverse applications, namely, Blockchain, smart grid, IoT, Biomedical, financial transactions, etc., to verify authenticity and integrity. Also, the Merkle tree is used in privacy-preserving computing. However, the Merkle tree is a computationally costly data structure. It uses cryptographic string hash functions to partially verify the data integrity and authenticity of a data block. Moreover, the verification process creates unnecessary network traffic because it requires partial hash values to verify a particular block. Furthermore, the performance of the Merkle tree also depends on the network latency. Therefore, it is not feasible for most of the applications. To address the above issue, we proposed an alternative model to replace the Merkle tree, called HEXB-LOOM, and it is implemented using hash, Exclusive-OR, and Bloom Filter. Our proposed model's performance does not depends on network latency for verification of data block's authenticity and integrity. HEX-BLOOM uses an approximation model, Bloom Filter. Moreover, it employs a deterministic model for final verification of the correctness. In this paper, we show that our proposed model is better than the state-of-the-art Merkle tree in every aspect.

As a decentralized machine learning approach, federated learning has become a key solution for numerous applications. However, one primary challenge lies in the data heterogeneity issue when developing effective federated learning algorithms. While many existing frameworks address the concern of non-independent and identically distributed data(non-IID), they have not considered heterogeneity of data quality. Therefore, we propose ROCFL, a robust clustered federated learning method in this study, which can amplify the disparity in weight allocation between models trained on different quality data. We first develop an optimal clustering matching mechanism that groups clients with similar data distributions. This allows the optimal clustering model to be derived without specifying a predetermined number of clusters. Next, we introduce a personalized weight allocation strategy, which assigns a weight benchmark to each cluster based on its cluster importance index. This strategy mitigates the negative impacts of low-quality data during model aggregation. Finally, we design a federated aggregation strategy grounded in a sampling approach. It not only ensures unbiased sampling but also significantly reduces both computational and communication overheads. Experiments have been carried out and the results demonstrate that higher accuracy and robustness can be achieved by ROCFL in scenarios wherein data distribution and quality heterogeneity coexist, in comparison with the benchmarks. © 2023 IEEE.

Clustering is one of the main data mining techniques used to analyze and group data, but often applications have to deal with a very large amount of spatially distributed data for which most of the clustering algorithms available so far are impractical. In this paper we present P2PRASTER, a distributed algorithm relying on a gossip-based protocol for clustering that exploits the RASTER algorithm and has been designed to handle big data in a decentralized manner. The experiments carried out show that P2PRASTER returns perfect results under both optimal and non-optimal conditions, and also provides excellent scalability.

Customers now also worry in restricting factors in the Electric Vehicle industry like battery life, charge stations location, power grid capacity, restricted drive range, and slow battery charging. However, there is a rise in Electric vehicles, and an Emergency Solar-to- Electric Vehicle Battery Charger (EBC) is recommended. It offers a practical way to charge Electric vehicles in critical situations. Based on the state of charge (SOC), capacities, and some critical factors, the proposed smart charger can charge another Electric vehicle. Smart chargers can control O/p voltages and immediately deliver current to an Electric vehicle. Though many solutions to these limitations have been put forth, it offers low efficiency and minimum cost-effectiveness. Under this study, a brand new battery charger called the Emergency Sole-to-Electric Vehicle Battery Charger (EBC) is proposed. Last but not least, real-time experiments based on the MPPT configuration, verify the viability and application of the suggested Solar-to-Electric vehicle battery charging features. © 2023 IEEE.

Path Planning Method and System for Quadruped Robot Based on Improved A ∗ Algorithm In recent years, with the development of unmanned intelligent equipment technology, different types of robots have emerged in life, with different functions and forms, such as search robots in hazardous environments, industrial robots operating on assembly lines, and so on. Path planning is a key aspect of robotics, and it becomes more challenging when it comes to quadruped robots. The path planning method and system for quadruped robots based on the improved A ∗ algorithm is an innovative solution developed to address this challenge. The improved A ∗ algorithm is a heuristic search algorithm that uses a combination of heuristic and cost functions to find the optimal path from the starting point to the target point. Considering the unique motion ability of quadruped robots, the algorithm has been modified to meet their needs. The path planning system for a quadruped robot based on this algorithm considers various factors such as terrain, obstacles, and robot kinematics. It also considers the gait pattern of the robot and ensures that the planned path is feasible for the robot's motion. This method and system has been proven to be effective in the real world, enabling quadruped robots to navigate easily in complex environments. It is of great significance for applications such as search and rescue missions, exploration missions, and military operations. © 2023 IEEE.
