Under the new technology and application of the power satellite Internet of Things, satellite communication will inevitably face more security risks. This paper studies the delay problem of satellite communication, analyzes the security risk caused by the delay, and proposes a route for the realization of satellite channel encryption technology. Low-latency, high-efficiency IPK identification public key technology is used for power satellite IoT applications. By comparing with the traditional PKI certificate authentication technology, the advantages of IPK technology in satellite channel encryption technology are established, and the environment is built to test the IPK signature verification time. By contrast with communication delay, it is negligible. Based on IPK technology, satellite communication data can be encrypted and transmitted, with low-latency and high-efficiency secure computing, which has no impacts on satellite communication delay, and can fully meet the needs of power satellite IoT applications. © 2023 SPIE.

Vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) energy trading stands as a significant technology, allowing electric vehicles (EVs) to share energy. This balances energy demand and supply, reducing pressure on the power grid. However, two substantial challenges require attention: 1) Creating a standardized protocol universally adoptable by EV manufacturers and energy trading participants to establish a common secure and reliable platform for real-time energy trading between EVs. 2) Determining a fair and transparent pricing and transaction management mechanism, accounting for factors such as energy demand and supply, location, and user preferences. To tackle these hurdles, this paper proposes a decentralized V2V energy trading system (VETS) based on a novel high-performance sharding blockchain framework. VETS incorporates a standard energy trading management protocol, achieving trustless and transparent transaction processing. It employs a blockchain sharding and parallel architecture for high transaction throughput, catering to a large number of EVs. Furthermore, an efficient consensus algorithm is developed to minimize service delays and adapt to real-time transaction demands. A practical testbed operationalizes VETS, facilitating experimental analysis within a real-world cloud environment. © 2023 IEEE.

With the development and advancement of cloud computing, the deployment of user applications in data centers using containers have become increasingly common. In the operation and maintenance process of modern data centers, more and more attention is paid to low-carbon environmental protection and high energy efficiency. Fine-grained monitoring of container power is an important content of data center energy efficiency management. However, the power sensors provided by the hardware can only provide the overall power at the server level, which will cause us to obtain power information at a very coarse power granularity. In order to obtain fine-grained power information at the container level, we propose a container power prediction method based on performance counters. First, we train a neural network model for container power prediction, and then we input the performance counters information when the container is running into the model to predict the container power. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed model can effectively predict container power. © The Institution of Engineering & Technology 2023.

As a new concept, the metaverse received widespread attention from the industry, academia, media and the public, and many new industries have also laid out in the field of metaverse. The energy industry is no exception, and the metaverse has brought new ideas to solve the development problems in the context of new power systems. Firstly, it summarizes different definitions of the metaverse by various scholars and puts forward its own opinions. Secondly, it outlines the characteristics of the power metaverse. Then, it proposes the design of the power metaverse architecture, laying a solid foundation for the application of the metaverse in the power system. Finally, it looks forward to the application of technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and blockchain in the power system in the context of the metaverse, providing inspiration and reference for future research and industrial applications related to the power metaverse. © 2024 IEEE.

Most IoT-enabled smart grids are centralized. Blockchain-based decentralized systems are secure, private, transparent, stable, and auditable. Since Blockchain transactions are immutable, energy trade and tracking are more straightforward. Scalable connection and access control management are implemented in these networks through the queueing concept. By keeping this in mind, the present article proposes a priorityreservation queueing-based analytical model for Blockchain-assisted smart grid systems to facilitate easy accessibility between consumers and distributors. We also present various numerical findings to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed system. © 2023 IEEE.

With the increasing scale of applications and system programs and the increased processing capacity of software, in order to improve the efficiency of software, more and more information-sharing technologies are adopted. There are more and more loopholes in large-scale information-sharing, mainly because of the uncertainty of information-sharing scheduling, which leads to great uncertainty in the control flow of programs. In This paper, the theory of fuzzy cooperation evaluation is applied to the research. Through the analysis of the participants in data-sharing and their fuzzy cooperation relationships, the fuzzy cooperation evaluation model of data-sharing is constructed based on the degree of participants' participation. The benefit allocation model of data-sharing subjects is constructed by using the fuzzy Shapley value and Banzhaf-Coleman right index. It provides a new research perspective and ideas for the smooth long-term practice of data-sharing and the equilibrium of its rights and interests. © 2023 SPIE.

Cloud computing is a relatively mature business computing model, which is gradually developed from technologies such as distributed computing, parallel processing, and grid computing. Similarly, with the continuous emergence of cloud computing applications, people's understanding of cloud computing is also constantly changing. This paper designs a private cloud platform called 'UCloudStack' based on cloud computing technology. With the development of many data-intensive applications, large-scale systems have been widely used to solve advanced computation problems. As the increasing growth of complexity and scale, these systems are more likely to confront failure. Since remedial measures for failure take huge cost and effort at today's large-scale systems, fault tolerance which aims to decrease the impacts of fault on systems has become a necessity instead of an option. As one of the key techniques of fault tolerance, failure prediction has made itself an increasing important issue to improve the resource efficiency and the availability of systems. Over the past few years, a multitude of innovative failure prediction approaches has emerged such as mathematical and statistical modeling, machine learning techniques and so forth. Unfortunately, they are currently so poorly classified that it is difficult to figure out the wide spectrum of methods concerning with this area. To this end, we provide an extensive and comprehensive survey of existing research work in the area of failure prediction via exploring and analyzing over 20 various approaches. Also, we develop our own taxonomy assisting in classifying methods, which makes it easier to understand and compare the pros and cons of these methods in respective category. © 2021 IEEE.

The number of Distributed Green Cloud Datacenters (DGCDs) is globally increasing. Such DGCDs deploy different types of renewable sources to generate clean energy and save money. They are located in different regions depending on the availability of renewable energy sources, costs of bandwidth and grid electricity prices. This paper focuses on applications within them, which are sensitive to delay and looks into a way to schedule different applications with respect to time constraint. The paper uses the Firefly algorithm, bat algorithm and simulated annealing-bat algorithms as optimization techniques to minimize total operational cost of such DGCDs. These algorithms have been compared through data-driven experiments carried out in this study. Power grid workers may suffer sunburn from exposure to excessive ultraviolet radiation while working outdoors. There are many factors that can affect sunburn, including meteorological factor, individual factor, physical work factor and other potential factors. Traditional prediction methods only consider single variable and lack of in-depth mining for complex variables. Machine learning algorithms can find the key factors affecting sunburn and calculate the optimal prediction model through multiple iterations within the algorithm, which is increasingly used in the prediction of various occupational diseases. In this study, a variety of machine learning models including random forest, support vector machine, logistic regression and XGboost were used to predict the risk of sunburn of power grid workers. The accuracies of 10-fold cross-validation were 80.7%, 81.1%, 80.6% and 79.6%. Logistic regression model had the best performance. © 2022 IEEE.
