Price rising of energy and the limitation of fossil fuel makes it an inevitable tendency to introduce distributed energy such as renewable energy to the existing supply system in the future. Different players, such as power generation, transmission, and distribution, along with the value chain must now cooperate and interact with each other by shared interfaces or eventually a customized network for secure and reliable delivery of energy. While smart grids are focusing on the informationization and intellectualization of the existing power grid, the new concept of an energy internet is proposed as an internet-style solution for energy issues by integrating information and power flows bi-directionally, which can be considered as the version 2.0 of smart grids. Some key features of an energy internet compared with conventional energy grid such as openness and peer-to-peer are introduced. Architecture of an energy internet is proposed in details, including energy storage, switches and routers. The definition of an energy internet call for a much greater degree of interactive flexibility for efficient energy management than the present system is designed to handle.

We present two resource-allocation mechanisms for on-demand computing services in parallel and distributed systems, where users pay for their actual usage of the computational resources. We specialize our solution for allocation of grid resources which is a challenging issue due to the dynamic behavior of the system. The problem is studied from the seller's point of view and adjustment of the market capacity is proposed as his strategic move to maximize his profit from resource sharing.

The technique of grid, becomes the focus of the research gradually. As the workflow in grid environment, grid workflow has some characteristics itself so that it can't inherit traditional workflow straightly. Hence, in this article, we will put forward a new task scheduling algorithm for the grid workflow. By carrying out the distributed booking and assigning of the resource, computing the time of implement intelligently, and building the scheduling sequence dynamically, it achieves the optimization of the scheduling in view of the whole grid system.

grid systems technology has evolved over recent years and the Open grid Service Architecture (OGSA) has rapidly become the "de facto" standard. OGSA includes several important capabilities needed to support grid applications and, among them, the job management and execution capability, which concern searching candidate locations and executing and managing jobs until end. Such functionalities enable users to use distributed resources for their applications. These tasks are critical in the grid system context because their incorrect execution can heavily affect provided services, so adoption of formal method is sometimes mandatory. This paper is aimed at defining an abstract model for specifying the job management and execution services. We propose a distributed Abstract State Machine (DASM) model to analyse and design OGSA capability and its implementation in coreASM.

A very important issue in executing a scientific workflow in computational grids is how to map and schedule workflow tasks onto multiple distributed resources and handle task dependencies in a timely manner to deliver users' expected performance. In this paper, we present our work to develop and evaluate an advanced workflow scheduler in computational grid environments, the GRACCE scheduler. The GRACCE scheduler applies advanced scheduling techniques, such as resource negotiation and reservation, data/network-aware scheduling and performance prediction in the resource allocation and execution planning process. To evaluate the scheduler, we have set up an experimental environment that models a computational grid in those aspects relevant to workflow scheduling. Our results show the average performance improvement, using the GRACCE scheduler, is about 20% under high resource loads.

Levaraeine the convergence of grid and Web services technologies, we anticipate the emergence of new business and scientific computing paradigms that are based on dynamic Virtual Organisations (VO). These VOs span across organisational boundaries and enable the enactment of collaborative processes that integrate services, resources and knowledge in order to perform tasks that the VO partners could not undertake on their own. Such a dynamic and complex structure opens several challenging problems relating to VO security. In this paper, We summarise a novel architecture Supporting grid-enabled collaboration for the purposes of Application Service Provision. We then focus on the underpinning security architecture that enables the federated management and distributed enforcement of dynamic security perimeters for virtual communities of services, and on resources that span across administrative and enterprise boundaries. We highlight how this architecture, realised in the context of a European research project developing a grid platform for application serviced provision, addresses the outstanding challenges that underlie the automation of trust and security management in scalable, multi-institutional, and dynamic Virtual Organisations. distributed multidimensional data index is an important tool to realize massive data retrieval task. However, traditional data index ignores the influence of distributed data offset on index structure, which results in the large number of index iterations and long retrieval time. The distributed multi-dimensional data index strategy in cloud computing environment is studied. In the cloud computing environment, parallel processing of offset distributed data;through differentiation of different data dimensions, the establishment of distributed multidimensional data index structure;the construction of node selection cost detection model, through adjusting the local node selection location, optimizing index retrieval structure, to achieve the distributed multidimensional data retrieval task. Experimental results: the number of iterations of the index is 251 times and 278 times lower than the two groups of traditional indexes, and the retrieval time is 6.91s and 6.8034s lower than the two traditional indexes. It can be seen that the index strategy in cloud computing environment has better data retrieval performance.

The advancement in the fields of science, engineering, social networking and e-commerce along with the tremendous growth in the pervasive technologies has generated a tsunami of data in digital form. To store and process this type of data is a big challenge for the researcher. Different distributedcomputing and processing systems have been developed to overcome these real world data computational and storage problems. For such computational intensive applications, cloud or gridcomputing can be seen as a special type of distributedcomputing platform. One of the main layer used in gridcomputing environment is middleware, that divides the user job and distribute it among several available computing resources for processing and then do the result aggregation task. In this paper we have surveyed the existing popular middleware software libraries used in gridcomputing environment and presented a qualitative comparison of these systems w.r.t resource management.

The application of distributedcomputing by WebGIS to the is image had been studied in the paper. A server of WebGIS was set up. A RS image was divided into grids. There was a computer in each grid. distributedcomputing of GIS datas was dealed with by computer node in each grid. The available information was submitted to the server of WebGIS. So we can draw a conclusion that we can enhance efficiency of GIS datas in RS images by the application of distributedcomputing.

gridcomputing is becoming an important technology in distributed environment. The Main issues consider in gridcomputing is Load balancing, Fault tolerance and Fault recovery. This paper Focuses on Load balancing and Fault tolerance. Load balancing is an important technique by maintaining the workload properly in the sites. This article designs a grid Scheduler, which selects the Minimum Loaded Site for the candidate set of nearest sites, Execute the job within the grid. Then the job is dispatched to the Fault Detector based on the availability of the site. The load balancing task in the grid environment will significantly improve the performance of the grid environment. Fault tolerance is a main technique in grid environment. This technique will used to execute the job from the processor failure. To achieve high throughput and resource utilization we propose a Fair scheduling algorithm. Trails for the proposed system are conducted using grid Simulation Toolkit (gridSim).
