This dissertation argues that adoption of ip source address simulation technology combined with configurable data simulation technology can achieve generalized data simulation. Unlike traditional data communication, which uses transport layer sockets, ip source address emulation technology allows applications to bypass the transport layer and directly use ip layer raw sockets to send data packets by setting the data ip headers. The data that is sent by adopting this technology is transparent to the receiver who can either receive and resolve using the Raw Socket or process it directly with the existing receiver program. This technology can be adopted to simulate other subsystem data at any node of the task network, and the simulation of the ip address of the data source will no longer be limited by the existing network architecture. Adoption of data configurable filling simulation technology, which is compatible with various common data types and adapts to complex data can realize data format configuration such as data field length, type, and content. Combined with data configurable filling and ip source address simulation technology, the efficiency and effect of data simulation can be greatly improved.

With the development of Internet technology, the demand of interconnection between fixed and mobile networks and different heterogeneous networks is further enhanced. ip multimedia subsystem (IMS) is an important way to solve the convergence of mobile and fixed networks, and introduce the triple convergence of voice, data and video services. This paper summarizes and analyzes the development and research status of IMS networking, and then analyzes the basic theory and network architecture of IMS in detail. Finally, based on the practical application background requirements, from the intra-domain networking and cross-domain networking, the disaster recovery and backup optimization scheme is proposed. Combined with the specific IMS network construction scene, the IMS single communication station and multiple communication station network construction are designed and introduced in detail, which gives a typical practical application background presentation and sufficient theoretical guidance for IMS networking. © 2024 IEEE.

The contribution of this work is to deploy a measurement test workbench to analyze the battery consumption of a mobile phone considering both the 5G Standalone (SA) and 5G Non-Standalone (NSA) mobile networks. Therefore, real-time experimentations were done to evaluate accurately the battery consumption when both Voice over Long-Term Evolution (5G VoLTE) and Voice over New Radio (VoNR) voice calls over ip multimedia subsystem (IMS) are made. The configuration setup considers the usage of a high-tech Device Under Test (DUT), 5G Test Stations and a Power Monitor Tool (PMT) to precisely evaluate the battery consumption levels, as in [1]. © 2023 IEEE.

The ip multimedia subsystem (IMS) refers to the standard for a telecommunication system that controls multimedia services accessing different networks. Not only the IMS but other telecommunications networks are also required to operate continuously. In addition, any system error can lead to massive losses in revenue and productivity. Therefore, testing and quality control task has an important role in telecommunications networks, and it requires an efficient method to detect any inherent errors and failures. To facilitate the testing process, a solution using the test automation tool Appium is proposed. The Appium framework is mainly used to validate mobile browsers and mobile applications with UI. If the IMS can be implemented with the Appium framework, the burdensome testing tasks can be eased. Therefore, we developed an automated model in which the Appium framework can help in testing functions of the IMS. Our model contains some new features added to the basic function of the framework and these features are designed and developed specially for testing the IMS services. This proposed solution not only reduces the time and labor in testing but also can be applied to other systems that are related to mobile phone services. © 2023 IEEE.

In current cellular network generations (4G, 5G) the IMS (ip multimedia subsystem) plays an integral role in terminating voice calls and short messages. Many operators use VoWiFi (Voice over Wi-Fi, also Wi-Fi calling) as an alternative network access technology to complement their cellular coverage in areas where no radio signal is available (e.g., rural territories or shielded buildings). In a mobile world where customers regularly traverse national borders, this can be used to avoid expensive international roaming fees while journeying overseas, since VoWiFi calls are usually invoiced at domestic rates. To not lose this revenue stream, some operators block access to the IMS for customers staying abroad. This work evaluates the current deployment status of VoWiFi among worldwide operators and analyzes existing geoblocking measures on the ip layer by measuring connectivity from over 200 countries. We show that a substantial share (ipv4: 14.6%, ipv6: 65.2%) of operators implement geoblocking at the DNS- or VoWiFi protocol level, and highlight severe drawbacks in terms of emergency calling service availability.

At present, mobile network operators (MNO) need to improve Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) of voice and video services to compete with over-the-top (OTT) Voice over ip (Voip) applications. For an MNO to be able to provide HD voice and video calls, is essential to use a dedicated ip multimedia subsystem (IMS) network. The contribution of this paper is the analysis of measured data collected from real-time testbeds related to the fifth generation (5G) mobile network and then, computing the inter-Mean-Opinion-Score (iMOS) and QoS metrics for both 5G Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and Voice over New Radio (VoNR) services over IMS. Thus, there are evaluated QoS metrics throughout the communication stages among the User Equipment (UE) for the 5G Stand-Alone (SA) and 5G Non-Stand-Alone (NSA) networks. The obtained results show how QoS metrics like jitter and delay impact the iMOS results. The obtained results satisfy the requirement for VoNR and 5G VoLTE which show iMOS values greater than 4 out of 5 where 5 represents the best quality. The results were obtained in a controlled environment laboratory, using specialized radio test stations with non-interference outdoor propagation signals and lower path loss since can be used as a reference for upcoming research. © 2023 IEEE.

This article presents the idea of a vision system allowing the analysis of images from multiple cameras for the needs of augmented reality systems. The presented solution allows for the effective determination of the positions and movement paths of people moving in urban space and their activities. The article presents the key modules of multi-view image analysis, including the gamer detection and tracking (MOT) subsystem and the user activity detection subsystem.
