ip Telephony has been adopted to replace the traditional circuit switch networks in various environments. Government Emergency Telephony Service (GETS) is one of the critical services currently provided in the traditional circuit switch network. GETS supports personnel from different organizations performing their critical missions including Incidence Response and Prevention, National Security, and Emergency Preparedness. Because of the convergent infrastructure for both voice and data, how to provide GETS over ip is one of the challenges for ip Telephony to prove its flexibility and strength for large-scale critical services. In this study, we explore many aspects for providing ip-based GETS, such as availability, security, interoperability, and reliability. Based on ipmultimediasubsystem (IMS) architecture, the requirements along with some analyses and recommendations are outlined to meet the strict demands for GETS in different convergent paradigms.

During the Paging process in ip based IMT network, Location Manager(LM) makes flooding the Paging packets to every node in Location Area(LA) to which MN is belong. At a result of the defects, the overall network efficiency is significantly lowered to process the Paging of one MN resulting in the waste of network resources. A high-speed three-dimensional (3-D) graphics SoC for consumer applications is presented. A 166-MHz 3-D graphics full pipeline engine with performance of 33 Mvertices/s and 1.3 Gtexels/s, and 333-MHz ARM11 RISC processor, and video composition IN are integrated together on a single chip. The geometry part of 3-D graphics ip provides full programmability in vertex and triangle level, and two-level multi-texturing with trilinear MipMAP filtering are realized in the rasterization part. Per-pixel effects such as fog effects, alpha blending, and stencil test are also implemented in the proposed 3-D graphics ip. The rasterization architecture is designed for reducing external memory accesses to achieve the peak performance. The chip is fabricated using 0.13 mu m CMOS technology and its area is 7.1 x 7.0 mm(2).

Even though numerous proposals have been made for mobility management schemes in heterogeneous wireless ip networks, no single solution has emerged that is capable of supporting seamless and low latency handovers required to satisfy the stringent delay requirements of real-time multimediaapplications. In this paper, we present a location-based mobility management architecture for realtime applications in a heterogeneous network environment. Handover latency is minimised by integrating optimised application layer mobility management signalling using the Session Initiation Protocol (Sip) with location-based information of nearby access points (APs). A newly defined Access Point Location Protocol (APLP) is used to disseminate geospatial information and network parameters associated with various APs to location-aware mobile devices that use this information to construct a virtual map of the APs. An intelligent decision engine (DE) implemented in the mobile node (MN) combines the information provided by APLP with knowledge of the user's mobility pattern and policy preferences to anticipate handovers.
