With the rapid expansion of industrial IoT (IIoT), maintaining robust cybersecurity is essential for the smooth operation of industrial processes. Industrial environments require adaptive solutions to effectively mitigate evolving cyber threats and protect sensitive operations. This research aims to improve the cybersecurity of industrial IoT environments. The research intends to design and implement an adaptive and real-time intrusion detection system with edge computing integration that improves the reliability of the operations in industrial IoT. We incorporated machine learning approaches to classify cyber threats using XGBoost and Deep Neural Networks (DNN). A comparative analysis of results obtained from two datasets shows that the XGBoost model was slightly more accurate than the DNN model, with an accuracy of 79% for dataset D1 and approximately 99.42% for data set D2. This analysis also clearly demonstrates the usefulness of these machine learning approaches and the need to select a model depending on the requirements for detecting particular attacks. Confusion matrix analysis shows that both models have several advantages in terms of recognizing different types of cyber threats. © 2025 The Authors.

In recent years, autonomous vehicle technology has become a major area of focus within the automotive industry. Nevertheless, the advancement of object detection methodologies in autonomous vehicles remains limited, particularly with regard to the latest object detection methodologies. In the development of object detection capabilities for autonomous vehicles, it is important to utilize simulation scenarios that are safe for the surrounding environment. The objective of this research is to evaluate the efficacy of object detection algorithms in a simulation environment utilizing the DonkeyCar platform. The efficacy of several state-of-the-art algorithms will be evaluated based on two metrics: general performance measurements and scenario tests on the DonkeyCar simulator. This research compares several variants of three state-of-the-art algorithms, namely faster R-CNN, YOLO, and SSD, to determine the most efficient algorithm for real-time object detection in the context of autonomous vehicles. The study demonstrates that YOLOv10-N exhibits superior performance, achieving an mAP@0.50 value of 0.940 and maintaining an inference time of 35 FPS. © 2025 IEEE.

The rapid advancement of Blockchain technology has led to its widespread application in several domains of digital activities, such as e-government concerns and monetary security. This article presents a smart contract-based Blockchain solution for protecting intellectual property rights in new product development. The proposed solution effectively tackles the challenges associated with the confidentiality of personally identifiable information, efficiency in storing transaction-related information, as well as cooperation and monitoring in IPR. Initially, we create a mathematical model based on smart contract enabled Blockchain and intelligent contracts. Subsequently, we develop algorithms for Blockchain generation, and intelligent contracts. The system is suitable for protecting IPR in a blockchain network, by implementation of distributed identity authentication and real-time extensible storage. These features enhance the security and expandability of circuit copyright protection based on blockchain technology. The experimental results demonstrate that the suggested algorithm has decreased the cost for communication and enhanced the effectiveness of storing information and administration. Furthermore, it demonstrates resilience against many common attacks such as double-spending assaults, while maintaining low cost and overhead. Additionally, it exhibits a superior level of security in comparison to three other competing algorithms. © 2025 IEEE.

Cloud computing (CC) is an expanding computing concept in which computing resources are given as Internetbased services. Security and confidentiality of cloud storage services are critical and pose a difficulty in cloud computing owing to loss of control over data and reliance on the cloud computing provider. While there is a big number of transmitting data in the cloud system, the risk of data access by attackers raises. CC requires encryption to maintain the privacy and security of data stored, processed, and transported on the cloud. Encryption ensures that confidential information saved in the cloud stays private and accessible only to authorized parties. The field of cryptography is continuously evolving to deal with current challenges in cybersecurity, confidentiality, and computing power. Optimizing encryption algorithms entails enhancing security, performance, and efficiency while reducing resource usage. This study suggests a optimized framework for encryption using RSA, an asymmetric key cryptography for key exchange and Advanced / Encryption Standard (AES), a symmetric key cryptography for bulk message encryption to improve the efficiency of encryption. The suggested models's performance evaluated with RSA with Data Encrytpion Standard(DES) and RSA with BlowFish algorithms and the efficiency of RSA with AES is found to more in terms of Execution time, Throughput, memory usage and latency. © 2025 IEEE.

In UAV networks, route discovery time is the duration from network deployment until the time when each UAV finds a route to every other UAV. It is a critical metric that shows how long a UAV network can be formed and used. Existing methods for calculating route discovery time are to conduct simulations, and it is unclear how parameters in routing protocols influence the final result. In this paper, we propose an analytical approach for route discovery time estimation instead of simulations. We focus on the classic protocol, Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) protocol, and treat the network formation process as continually adding nodes to the diametral path. We present a general algorithm for computing route discovery time for arbitrary topologies, and provide formulas for special topologies. We show that our analytical results are close to those obtained by simulations. © IFIP international Federation for information Processing 2025.

With the development of deep learning and computer vision technologies, human behavior prediction has gradually become a research area of great interest. Existing work has introduced the Transformer architecture into human behavior prediction, but due to the differences in data types and dimensions, one-dimensional position coding is difficult to effectively capture the spatial correlation between human joints. At the same time, there are problems such as poor differentiation of different channels and cumbersome training process. In order to solve the above problems, this paper is based on the denoising diffusion model and combines with the Transformer architecture to predict human behavior. The method gradually adds noise to the skeleton sequence in the forward process, and encodes the position of the joints by projecting the 3D human skeleton coordinates to the 2D position plane in the reverse denoising process, so as to effectively capture the relative positions and distances of the joints in the space. Then the compression and excitation module learns the interdependence between channels to dynamically assign channel weights to enhance the model's ability to distinguish between different channels. The experimental results show that the proposed method has advantages in prediction accuracy and stability compared with the existing methods, and the experiments on the Human3.6M dataset and HumanEva-I dataset verify the effectiveness of the method. © 2025 SPIE.

We report for the first time a 1.6T linear-drive optical engine (LOE) developed following the Chinese co-packaged optics (CPO) standard. 1.6T LOE is based on the 4×400G parallel single-mode architecture. To partially compensate for the high-speed electrical channel losses, both the driver and trans-impedance amplifier integrates equalization functions. The silicon photonic chip in this LOE integrates V-grooves to reduce coupling difficulty. The LOE transmitter achieved a high extinction ratio (ER) of 4.06dB and a low transmitter and dispersion eye closure quadruple (TDECQ) of 1.42dB. Moreover, the LOE receiver achieved a sensitivity as low as -8.35dBm. The transmitter and receiver were interconnected through 500m fiber and achieved a low bit error rate (BER) of 3.22E-10. In short, the specifications tested by LOE have reached the level of commercial pluggable optical transceivers. © 2025 SPIE.

Vehicle Ad Hoc Networks (VANET) and Internet of Vehicles (IoV) provide the effectiveness and convenience of people in traffic and transportation. They often make a large amount of information transmitted between vehicles and between vehicles and traffic management systems. They also increase the demand for vehicle computing and storage. In order to solve this problem, Vehicle Cloud computing (VCC) uses a VANET combined with cloud computing technology to assist vehicle drivers for controlling vehicle-related data. Recently, Lee et al. revealed limitations and security problems in previous related studies and developed a more secure and efficient authenticated key agreement protocol for VCC to solve these limitations and problems. Although their study shows a formal security proof of their protocol and resistance to possible attacks, adopting a constant encryption key makes their scheme vulnerable to some possible attacks. This study states the security weaknesses of Lee et al.'s protocol, and develops an enhanced authenticated key agreement protocol for VCC. Compared with related works, the enhanced protocol overcomes the previous weaknesses, provides more security requirements, and retains a lower computational cost. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.
