A novel public audio watermarking scheme based on the statistical feature manipulation in wavelet domain combined with error correction coding technique is proposed in this paper. The algorithm is shown to be rather robust against a variety of common signal processing manipulations and synchronization attacks including the very challenging random cropping and time scale modifications. The watermarked audio has very high perceptual quality and is indistinguishable from the original signal. A blind watermark detection technique without resorting to the original signal is developed to identify the embedded watermark under various types of attacks. Security is guaranteed by applying chaotic sequence during embedding and detection. Several meaningful suggestions on how to use error correction coding technique to improve the robustness are given at the end.

This paper proposes a hybrid transformation technique, where the intraframes of video sequence are coded by discrete wavelet transform and the interframes are coded with discrete cosine transform technique. It also proposes the selection of sequence of frames predicted from the reference intraframes. This proposal consistently minimizes the prediction error for the predicted frame for further processing. The experimental results show that the proposed hybrid transformation technique outperforms conventional transformation coding technique in terms of encoding time and prediction errors. The advantages of this approach include the potential for improving efficiency and ease of transmission.

In this paper, the design and construction methods of the DISCUS (Distributed Source coding Using Syndromes) scheme in wireless sensor networks are analyzed. The encoder quantizes the continuous outputs of the source and calculates the syndromes of the source codewords. Only the syndromes are transmitted to the decoder. The decoder combines the received syndromes and the side information to reconstruct the original source information. Some modifications are adopted to refine the shortages of the original DISCUS scheme, called extended DISCUS (eDISCUS). Firstly, the decoding error on the most significant bit is corrected. Secondly, the simple mapping from decimal quantization levels to binary codebook is replaced by a Gray-like Code. Thirdly, additional syndromes are transmitted to correctly decode all the single codeword error. Simulation results show that the modifications have better decoding error rate and distortion performances.

This study focuses on the organisational factors that affect the organisation's decision to adopt cloud computing. Data were collected by employing a questionnaire research design to SMEs (particularly SMEs in service sector) in Malaysia. Results indicate that of the three factors hypothesised to affect cloud computing adoption, only informationtechnology (IT) resources were found significant. Nonetheless, there is no adequate evidence to support the importance of top management support and employee knowledge on cloud computing adoption. The findings would benefit the theory and practice. For academia, this study can serve as a useful reference for future studies in this area. For practitioners, the fmdings would benefit them in terms of making decision toward cloud computing adoption and formulating better strategies for cloud computing adoption. (C) 2017 The Authors. The traditional image data encryption methods tend to ignore the classification of encryption attack types, resulting in poor security and accuracy of encryption results. In order to better guarantee the performance of chaotic image coding, a homomorphic encryption algorithm for chaotic image coding data in cloud computing environment is proposed. First, the homomorphic encryption matrix of coded data is normalized, and the homomorphic encryption parameters are calculated according to the results of the specification. According to the encryption parameters, the image encoding instructions are set, the common encryption attack types are divided, the encryption instructions are selected according to the partition results, and the accurate encryption of chaotic image coding data is finally realized. Finally, the experimental results show that the homomorphic encryption algorithm of chaotic image coding data in cloud computing environment has higher security and accuracy than the traditional encryption algorithm. It is indicated that the proposed encryption algorithm has a certain feasibility.

In this paper a new space time coding, which is suitable for high data rate communications is proposed. In this approach data is encoded by using a decomposition of a circulant matrix and the output of encoder is splitted into N streams to be transmitted simultaneously to N transmit antennas. The performance of this multiple input multiple output system is evaluated in a Rayleigh fading channel. Its performance in terms of symbol error rate, diversity gain and complexity is obtained. Simulation results show that with a perfect channel estimator, when channel state information (CSI) is available at the receiver, the Circulant Space Time code (CSTC) has a better symbol error rate via signal to noise ratio in compared to the spatial multiplexing and near to orthogonal space time block code.

An error-resilient video transcoding scheme is proposed in this paper, which dynamically chooses the proper redundant coding mode for the protection. To improve the efficiency of the bitrate increase, the redundant coding mode is determined dynamically by the rate-distortion performance calculation and the region-of-interest location. According to different scenarios, different numbers and locations of redundant slices are utilized. If needed, the redundant slice is generated by the entropy coding and embedded into the bitstream. Experiments demonstrate that new bitstream's quality can be improved by the proposal when transmitted in the unreliable environment.

If packets are coded by blocks with large sizes, time-sensitive applications in wireless network will suffer from high latency between blocks caused by intrasession coding scheme. In this paper, a block latency model in coding scheme is derived, and then four latency estimation algorithms are introduced which are used for choosing a proper block size to satisfy the need of time-sensitive applications. Syndrome coding is a very classical coding scheme in Physical layer security. It is necessary to design a efficient and secure code for syndrome coding to guarantee the security of the instant communications. In this paper, we apply two ways to construct random codes. By analysing on the effect of the parity check matrix on the average equivocation, we propose a method to generate the best random codes with low computation complexity and high security level. The simulation results show that the security performance of the best random codes (BRC) are close to that of the best equivocation codes (BEC) in syndrome coding. Specially, compared to BEC, BRC has a much lower computation complexity.
