Network coding-based overhearing management policies can greatly improve coding ratio and system throughput of coding nodes. The existing strategies, such as FIFO, best effort service, and historical information-based etc, are all based on isolation mechanism of the node information, they do not fully consider the relation among the cached information of nodes, as a result, the node cache information is frequently replaced or deleted by mistake, affecting the coding ratio of coding nodes and the decoding ratio of destination nodes. Therefore, there is a lot of space for improvement. In "X" pattern network topology, network coding overhearing policy based on data packet switching and sorting algorithm is proposed in this article. First, when overhearing buffer is full, meanwhile, the sink codes have listened new packets, codes will drop the new packets but record the IDs of the dropped packets;Second, intermediate codes get the packets information of overhearing buffer by the means of improved Epidemic Algorithm, then sort the packets of coding queue according to the packets information of overhearing cache. Finally, sink nodes delete the packets which have been used for decoding, and add the newly-coming packets in the cache. Theoretical analysis and simulation demonstrate that the improved algorithm gets better coding ratio, higher system throughput and lower delay than the traditional overhearing policies.

The index coding problem relates to transmission policies when the source node broadcasts encoded data to users with side information. This paper extends the index coding problem to cases when the source node can reach users through multihop communications. The new approach is called Modified Index coding (MIC) which can be applied to both wireless and wired networks. We demonstrate the benefits of our approach by applying MIC to information-Centric Networks (ICN). We demonstrate that the combination of ICN and MIC requires a hybrid caching scheme that includes both central and distributed caching to support two different goals. The approach results in a combination of conventional caching in ICN and a new distributed caching scheme across nodes in the network. Our analysis demonstrates that capacity improvement can be achieved by the new architecture. Simulation results compare the capacity improvement to traditional ICN architecture.

Deep learning has achieved great success in various applications, such as image processing and audio signal processing. However, deep learning methods usually require large and powerful computing resource, which greatly limit the practical application of deep learning methods. The spiking neural network is a new paradigm of neural networks and has the potential for low-power consumption. In this paper, we proposed a new computational model with the aim to provide an efficient and low-power computational model for speech recognition tasks. In the proposed model, the threshold coding method is employed to transform the speech signals to spike train patterns. The encoded spike patterns are then presented to the designed multi-layer spiking neural networks and trained by the surrogate-learning algorithm. After learning, the classification is decided by the firing rate of the neurons in the last layer. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method gets good accuracy in the speech recognition task. In addition, the proposed computational model works in an event-driven manner, hence, it holds great potential for low-latency and low-power consumption in neuromorphic hardware.

In this paper, we analysis the error performance improvement of the FS MC-CDMA, whose information data are spread spectrum with direct sequences(DS), and each subband signal is transmitted using a subcarrier frequency, combining BCH code in Mobile communication channels which is characterized by Nakagami fading. The effect of cochannel interference on the block error performance is also studied in this paper. As a results of study, the coding techniques provides more efficient improvement than non-coding, but the coding techniques are required more band as many coding rate. Our study demonstrates that the system is combined coding techniques, the amout of improvement is capable of efficiently exploiting over the Nakagami fading.

In Multi-View Video coding (MVC), through effective Motion Estimation Algorithm (ME), it can remove the inter-frame redundancy and significantly reduce the bits of video transmission and effectively improve coding efficiency and reduce the encoding time. To improve coding efficiency of the MVC, and effectively improve the ability to views random access, a MVC scheme using hierarchical B frames and in favor of views random access is proposed, according to use the coding structure of the space-time prediction. Experimental results show that the scheme can improve the coding efficiency, and in Multi-View Video (MVV), the scheme can effectively improve the ability to views random access and it can reduce the encoding time through using different ME.
