In this paper, we proposed a deep reinforcement learning-based design method that provides decoupling capacitor (decap) arrangement approaches on 2.5D integratedcircuit (2.5D-IC) designs. The proposed method provides a guideline of decap design to reduce the influence of simultaneous switch noise (SSN). We consider the multi-chiplet design, the capacitors placement constraint, and cost of capacitors when optimizing the power delivery network (PDN) impedance. This method achieves 24% less capacitor requirement when compared to the traditional algorithm.

This paper presents a novel miniaturized diplexer design that integrates a lowpass filter (LPF) and a bandpass filter (BPF). The lowpass filter and the bandpass filter are both composed of LC resonators, which can enhance the frequency selectivity. To meet the objectives of compact size and low cost, the diplexer is achieved using inter-digital capacitors and microstrip section inductors. To validate the design principle, the design, fabrication, and measurement of the diplexer based on printed circuit board (PCB) technique have been carried out. The diplexer features a small circuit area, only 10.2 mm x 16.3 mm. The proposed diplexer shows minimum insertion losses of 0.56 dB and 1.29 dB for the two channels, respectively, with an output isolation exceeding 27 dB.

In this letter, two 17-40 GHz ultra-wideband power amplifiers (PA) Monolithic Microwave integratedcircuit (MMIC) are proposed using GaN-SiC technology. The first is a single-way three-stage PA, and the second one adds Langecouplers as a balanced typology to improve the input/output return loss. On wafer measurement results show that the single-way PA displays a minimum small signal gain S21 of 24 dB, power-added efficiency (PAE) of 21%-31%, and the saturated output power (Psat) of 31 dBm (1.2W) at a drain voltage of 15V. The balanced PA produces a Psat of 35 dBm (3.1W) at 40 GHz with a PAE of 22%. These performances were possibly attributed to the excellent GaN HEMT technology as well as the circuitdesign and optimization. This work provides complete technical support and solutions for ultra-wideband millimeter-wave PAs.
