This paper focuses on target-oriented grasping in occluded scenes, where the target object is specified by a binary mask and the goal is to grasp the target object with as few robotic manipulations as possible. Most existing methods rely on a push-grasping synergy to complete this task. To deliver a more powerful target-oriented grasping pipeline, we present MPGNet, a three-branch network for learning a synergy between moving, pushing, and grasping actions. We also propose a multi-stage training strategy to train the MPGNet which contains three policy networks corresponding to the three actions. This paper presents a safety-critical locomotion control framework for quadrupedal robots. Our goal is to enable quadrupedal robots to safely navigate in cluttered environments. To tackle this, we introduce exponential Discrete control Barrier Functions (exponential DCBFs) with duality-based obstacle avoidance constraints into a Nonlinear Model Predictive control (NMPC) with Whole-Body control (WBC) framework for quadrupedal locomotion control. This enables us to use polytopes to describe the shapes of the robot and obstacles for collision avoidance while doing locomotion control of quadrupedal robots. Compared to most prior work, especially using CBFs, that utilize spherical and conservative approximation for obstacle avoidance, this work demonstrates a quadrupedal robot autonomously and safely navigating through very tight spaces in the real world. In recent years, the Intent-driven Network (IBN) has been proposed to further enhance the intelligence of communication systems. In IBN, users can express their resource expectations through intents while the IBN performs resource scheduling to fulfill these intents. Many challenges of complex networks can be tackled by IBN such as the mobile edge computing (MEC) system. In a MEC system, limited computing resources are competed by the users which may cause the intent conflict. To solve this, in this paper, we introduce the IBN concept to the MEC system, where an intent conflict detection module is proposed. The proposed module is based on the Open Network Automation Platform (ONAP) architecture. Moreover, by formulating the computing resource conflict problem as a Markov decision process (MDP) model, we employ an improved deep Qnetwork (DQN) algorithm to improve the efficiency of resource utilization. Simulation results demonstrate the completion time of intents is remarkably reduced in the proposed intent conflict resolution scheme.

intelligent transportation systems (ITS) play a critical role in modern urban transportation by improving traffic management and enhancing safety. The emergence of various ITS applications demands that roadside units (RSUs) be capable of hosting multiple applications simultaneously. This paper introduces an RSU platform designed for simultaneous hosting of multiple ITS applications. It not only reduces the effort of ITS application development but also resolves conflicts in traffic signal control strategies among different applications. Performance results demonstrate that the platform has the capability of handling 1000 on-board units (OBUs), sufficient for an RSU at a single intersection. The platform is currently deployed at 31 intersections in Tainan City, Taiwan, demonstrating its practical feasibility.
