With the continuous improvement of the intelligent management level of the power system, it will be possible to use the power big data to conduct "real-time monitoring" of the current state of economic development. In recent years, with the optimization of the industrial structure of Fujian province in China, the economic and power demand of various industries in Fujian province has also changed greatly. Therefore, studying the relations between power consumption and economy in Fujian’s sub-sectors has important guiding significance for the Fujian provincial government and power grid companies. A Granger causal nexus exam method was adopted to probe the relations between power consumption and economy in Fujian province. The results show that bidirectional causal relationships existed between electric power consumed as well as economic development at aggregate level and sectors of the primary industry;the industry has a one-way causal nexus from electric power consumption to economic development, while construction industry, transportation, warehousing and postal services have a one-way causal coupling nexus from economic development to electric power consumed. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2020.

High-resolution scattered data restoration is vital for series analysis of imaging through scattering medium. However, the existence of traditional methods mostly using deterministic transmission matrix, which limits the speckle de-correlations. Thus, learning based networks are applied to do image restoration through different random scattering mediums. In this work, we develop a novel dual-loss path networks fusion architecture for scattered image restoration focusing on improving reconstructed image details and the edge information. Our architecture consists of dual-loss path of convolution neural network (CNN) modules. In particular, we use the perceptual loss to extract the high level feature images, and the objective loss to extract the low level feature images, individually. After the both low level and high level feature manners are reconstructed by dual-path CNNs model, we use our proposed fusion method to combine them in frequency domain. Our network architecture is verified effective on two kinds of public datasets (MINST and Fashion-MINST). The experimental results show that our proposed method achieving better restoration than common CNN methods especially in the edges and the corner information of the predicted images. © 2020 IEEE.

In this position paper a discussion is performed related to the importance of Energy Prediction Models (EPM) in the context of trading renewable energy in smart grids and the need to develop a new generation of smart Meters (SMs) based on edge computing. If the electricity currently produced and consumed in the low voltage is expected to grow due to installations of PVs and the electrification of the system, we need to incentivise local energy trading and provide tools to make it possible. Currently, all energy trading mechanisms in the literature heavily rely on predictions, therefore, inaccuracy would be translated in low profitability of prosumer's investments or even worse, disappointment with the local energy markets. To guarantee robustness and reliability of predictions, we propose Flexible FIR as EPM to be used during the trading process and to integrate them in a Next Generation of SMs (NGSMs). Internet of Things (IoT) is growing rapidly as the number of users using smart "things" for communication has increased. The Internet of Things is the interconnection of individually recognizable smart embedded computing gadgets inside the previous web or Internet foundation. Applications find their way in Health Care, Building smart cities, smart Vehicles, Agriculture, and smart Home. There are huge profits of smart home system like being able to lock/unlock homes from a long distance, get notified in case of smoke/fire in the house and automating gadget maintenance. It is especially beneficial to assist elderly people who are sick and prefer to stay home rather than being in a Hospital. Despite the benefits, these devices bring in lot of security and privacy issues. IoT devices have firmware with less computing power and battery. They mostly do not have antivirus software installed. These devices communicate seemingly large amount of data and they are most vulnerable for security attacks like Denial of Service (DOS), Malware attacks and Ransomware attacks. A lot of research work is taking place to address the security issues in IoT Platform. This paper aims to provide a detailed review of the Methods or Techniques that are proposed to secure smart home systems by providing better design, access control techniques, encryption algorithms, and secure software applications. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2020.

Shopping malls and complex are increasing day by day and can see an enormous surge at these shopping centers on the siestas and ends of the weeks. Consumers buy different products and place them in trolley. After selecting all the products, one needs to go cashier counter for billing of the products. At the billing counter, the cashier prepares the bill by scanning the bar code of each product which is an exceptionally tedious process and results in a long queue at the billing counter. In this paper, a prototype of smart Mobile Autonomous Robotic Trolley (smart) is proposed for helping a consumer for shopping in terms of reduction in shopping time and analyzing the products in the view of total billing and expiry date. The primary aim of the proposed prototype is to reduce this tedious process, use minimal effort for shopping concept and reduce the time of both customers and salespeople. In the implemented system, ATmega 16 microcontroller is interfaced with EM18 RFID reader module, buzzer and LED indicator. Wireless data transfer between the trolley billing system and billing station system is achieved through XBee ZigBee S2D. The key aspects of the overall system consisting of the system architecture, trolley billing system, product detection system, trolley controlling system methodology, power supply. The system also implements an algorithm for shopping controlling system, trolley controlling system. The proposed prototype consists of two parts, the first part includes RFID based product detection, bill generation, wireless communication between shopping trolley with billing counter using ZigBee and second part consist of control motion of trolley using customer control which also includes obstacle detection. The detailed hardware-software implementation is discussed in this paper.

Geospatial data were exclusively generated by official agencies. However, following the technological revolution in data collection and production, various sources have emerged for the massive production of geospatial data, resulting the phenomenon of big geo-data. Therefore, dealing with large amounts of these data sets, results in a high velocity as they change very quickly, is a challenging task. Hence, analysis become more complex and computation become prohibitively expensive. As a result, spatial computing technologies become limited in front of these complex data and operations. Accordingly, we aimed to refine complexity with simplicity by replacing traditional geospatial models with referring to the simplest intelligent and minimum resource requirement algorithms that can be applied against these constraints, while ensuring the criteria of performance and scalability. In this work, we focus on the high-velocity of this big geo-data through the use of an iterative approach applied to a feature learning algorithms to decrease the memory consumption and the time complexity of traditional machine learning algorithms. According to our knowledge, although they were widely applied in the 19th century as a solution to overcome the problems of limitation of memory and computing resources. Iterative methods were still not used for the big geo-data analytics and generally for the big data domain. Thus, this approach could be beneficial especially for real time applications such as the anomaly monitoring and detection.

In addition to publishing and downloading mobile apps, Mobile App Store (MAS) has become the most important ecosystem on mobile smart devices, i.e., Mobile Software Ecosystem (MSECO). However, most of the existing work focus on the analysis of a single entity in MSECO, and rarely analyze the interaction between the entities (such as users, developers, etc.) in MSECO as well as the comprehensive effect of each entity to the entire ecosystem health. In this paper, we propose a method based on computational experiments to simulate and analyze the complex and dynamic interaction of various entities and, how these entities impact on health of MSECO. Firstly, a requirement-driven MSECO model named R-MSECO is established to break down the entire MSECO, which includes user-app interaction, developers-requirements interaction and macro-control of mobile platform three sub-models. Secondly, the health measurement method is proposed to measure the health of MSECO. Finally, we simulate the impact of the dynamic interaction of various entities on the health of MSECO based on computational experiments. The experimental results show that our method is helpful for mobile users to better understanding of the current state of MSECO as well as can provide a reference for developers and platform managers to make development and operation decisions, which is of great significance for the continued healthy development of MSECO.

The new challenges arising from the complexity of contemporary society, the availability of different kinds of data and new data sources, in addition to the data analytics tools that merge different disciplines are contributing to a reconfiguration of Social Research Methods. This article aims to analyze the keywords of 985 scientific papers published from 2003 to 2018 in three main methodological journals in order to identify the trending topics and the leading edges of Social Research Methods. To do this, we carried out empirical research aimed at investigating the recurring themes and the possible new directions of this scientific domain by building and analyzing a bibliometric dataset through an analysis of keywords co-occurrence based on both network and factorial approaches. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The availability of different types of data collected by Internet of Things-IoT can be exploited to enhance transparency and promote government action for citizens. However, in this field, how has the approximation between government and citizens been achieved for the co-production of digital public services? Thus, this research aims to identify the applicability of IOT in the coproduction of public services and what the characteristics of related models applicable to public administration. In order to do so, this article carried out a systematic review of the literature, in the period from 2012 to 2018. For this purpose, the database of advanced search Scopus. In general, many authors see IoT as facilitating the concept of smart cities, as well as a new way of managing communities based on information sharing and collaboration. Furthermore, the data collected through IoT can improve the capacity to predict problems in the development of a collective intelligence. The review has shown that there are advantages in the co-production of public services from the use of IoT as an instrument for reaching public value for public administration. However, the exploration of quality aspects of e-government service offerings and the understanding of user preferences are research questions that need to move forward in the face of relevance to society.

Once a fire breaks out in high-rise buildings, it is likely to cause the serious casualties and huge property losses. High-rise building fire cases occur year by year all over the world. Although experts and scholars at home and abroad have been doing a lot of theoretical and Experimental Research on the smoke and evacuation of the built high-rise buildings. However, there are very few studies on smoke law and evacuation of complex high-rise buildings under construction in case of fire. It is of great practical significance to study such problems. We combined the smart building methodologies to construct the efficient system for the data based analysis and intelligent platform based assistance. © 2020 IEEE.
