We propose a new method of traffic flow forecasting based on quantum particle swarm optimization strategy (QPSO) for Internet of Vehicles (IOV). Establish a corresponding model based on the characteristics of the traffic flow data. The genetic simulated annealing method is applied to the quantum particle swarm method to obtain the optimized initial cluster center, and is applied to the parameter optimization of the radial basis neural network prediction model. The function approximation of radial basis neural network can be used to obtain the required data. In addition, in order to compare the performance of the methods, a comparison study with other related methods such as QPSO-RBF is also performed. Our method can reduce prediction errors and get better and more stable prediction results. © 2020 IEEE.

The outcry from organizations and concerned bodies responsible for regulating and protecting the security and privacy of citizens' data have suddenly been on the increase since the unearthing of the recent scandal regarding data gathered from the users of Facebook by Cambridge Analytica (CA) without prior consent. data belonging to over 87 million Facebook users were admittedly passed on to third-party organizations who used them to manipulate the views and opinions of American citizens, a move largely believed influenced and altered the results and outcome of the 2016 US presidential elections in favour of certain individuals, an action largely believed undermines the Fundamental Human Rights (FHR) of the citizens affected. The Marxian Alienation Theory and Derrider's critical and qualitative analytical method for evaluating arguments and data gathered on the subject matter of the paper were adopted for the study, with the view to highlight the inimical influences of AI politicking on the FHR of Americans and her institution of democracy. The paper observed that the Facebook and CA scandal has given room for questioning the integrity and credibility of future election outcomes in American. There is an alarming dearth of viable regulations and ethical codes governing the reckless use of AI politicking platforms in the public domain. The paper suggests measures of improving and securing the private rights and data of citizens generally. It also suggests measures for preserving the sanctity and credibility of future election results in American.

In many countries, babies are required to visit a healthcare facility periodically from birth until they reach the age of five for growth monitoring. However, many parents in marginalized areas are not able to do so which results in high infant mortality rates. In this paper, we present the early results of an affordable remote screening system developed using an IoT device that measures a baby's temperature, height, weight, and skin conditions and sends them to a healthcare provider for decision making. The device captures essential data using sensors, after which an image recognition algorithm is used to access the infant's skin. analytics are conducted on the data and alerts generated for timely intervention. The results obtained show that it is possible to develop an affordable and functional remote screening device to enhance healthcare access. We plan to scale it to measure the infant' s breathing patterns and heart rate. © 2020 ACM.

The digital era has witnessed giant strides in the utilization of security systems, which perform certain pre-programmed tasks when a secured zone is breached. The prevailing traditional security systems have evolved embracing the cutting-edge technologies from time to time. The avalanche-like explosion of things and their connectivity through Internet have opened several new boulevards of exploration. The unification of security system based on the IoT platform has the potential of interrelating real time with the devices and makes them smart, with issues like privacy. To keep the issues in the bay, a new intrusion detection system is the need of the hour. Hence, a wireless intrusion detection smart security system is designed and developed to overcome the research gaps in the existing systems. The smart security system is built on the Internet of things. The system is a lightweight, low cost, extensible, flexible wireless IoT-based-smart security system which will permit the mobile devices and computers to remotely trail the happenings at the location, record the activities and save them in the prefixed cloud storage account. The system uses the hardware (things) to sense and fetch the data which is processed by the embedded software. On the occurrence of an abnormal activity (like breaching by an intruder), a valid signal is detected, and it sends signal to the board directing it to run the alert module. The alert module activates the GSM API to immediately alert the end-user by mobile. This system thus provides a wireless, incessant service to all the stakeholders by phone regarding the breaches occurring in the environment. This implemented smart security system using IoT with mobile assistance also integrates the various alarms, sends alert as pre-programmed, tracks the movements automatically, uses the state-of-the-art appropriate latest technologies to alert the concerned stakeholders and waits for actions to be taken.

The definition of smart city as a broad concept values the versatile acquisition, storage, and processing of relevant data for the city’s community. In this context, health data occupies a privileged place. The reliable gathering of personal health information has become recently possible through wearable medical devices. These devices usually do not store the data locally and offer, in the most favourable case, limited basic data processing features, and virtually no advanced processing capabilities for the collected personal health data. This paper describes an integrated distributed e-Health system, which collects health data from the enrolled city residents, and allows secure storage and processing of medical data in cloud by using a comprehensive encryption model to preserve the data privacy, which is based on the NTRU public-key cryptosystem. The system collects the user data through a client application module that is installed on the user’s smartphone or smartwatch, and securely transports it to the cloud backend. The homomorphic processing of the encrypted data is performed using the Apache Spark service. The event-based handlers are triggered by the IBM OpenWhisk programming service. The prototype has been tested using a real-world use case, which involves five hundred residents of Brasov City, Romania. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The increased number of computers, enlarged network bandwidth, more powerful computers, consumed resources and the acceptance of the Internet has driven the ongoing demand for new and better ways to execute huge problems in shared computing infrastructure such as grid and P2P computing. Resource discovery is extremely significant and challenging issues in Grid and P2P. It is complex because resources are heterogeneous, dynamic, geographically distributed, manageability and autonomous. A well-organized resource discovery mechanism is the fundamental requirements for resource sharing infrastructure, as it supports and facilities the resource administration and scheduling of applications. In computing systems like Grid, provide many resources across multiple administrative domains for the achievement of the goal. The major challenge faced by the system is to find the right resources on the network. In this paper, we study the resource discovery mechanisms that have been used in distributed computing systems so far. The mechanism for discovery of resource is divided into different types: centralized, decentralized, and hierarchical. We review the main developments in these categories and outline the new challenges. This paper also provides a discussion of the differences between the mechanisms considered for scalability, dynamism, reliability and real consultations as well as directions for future research.

With the arrival of the fifth-generation mobile networks (5G) era, it has been widely acknowledged that innovative technology has been involved in many aspects, such as social, culture and economy. In this context, the culture creative industries (CCI) are becoming increasingly fused with technologies. As intangible cultural heritage is recognized as a branch of CCI, to what extent and how technology serves as a tool in safeguarding the intangible cultural heritage (ICH), and what media can ICH interact with the audience should be considered. This study contributes to fill this gap and solve the issues by aiming at the Chinese ICH, thereby exploring a narrative environment model for the sustainability of ICH at World Heritage Sites (WHSs) based on the narratology and narrative environment theory under the 5G Era. The practical possibilities drew on the literature review and a develop model based on the narratology theory thereby contributing to the overall aim of this research. It was discovered that 5G technology applied to an interactive narrative space could probably promote the inheritance and protection for ICH and enhance the immersive audience experience in museums. © 2021, The Editor(s) (if applicable) and The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The mining industry is under transformation as digital and automated technologies transform the traditional process of extracting ore from rock. With high global demand of raw materials, reduced ore grades, stringent environmental legislation and less profit margin, the mining industry has to improve its productivity through smart mining to survive in the competitive market. In smart mining, it is imperative to have a real-time flow of information between enterprise level systems and shop floor systems through application such as ERP. A mining company needs instantaneous visibility on production, quality, cycle times, machine status, and other variables in order to achieve optimum operations which necessitates intelligent enterprise with industry 4.0. Industry 4.0 technologies provide deeper understanding of resource base, optimization of material and equipment flow, improved anticipation of failure, increased automation such as automated surveying using drones and 3D laser technology, automated drills, automated mobile fleets using fleet management system, automated plants. It also helps in monitoring real time performance vs plan and safety of men and machineries. By using Internet of Things (IoT), Big data, Machine to Machine (M2M), data analytics, intelligent sensors, robotics, drone the smart mining will be up graded with industry 4.0 in mining activities such as surveying, drilling, blasting, excavation. Haulage, processing and transportation. Due to increasing concerns about environmental impact, operating costs, and energy security, public transit agencies are seeking to reduce their fuel use by employing electric vehicles (EVs). However, because of the high upfront cost of EVs, most agencies can afford only mixed fleets of internal-combustion and electric vehicles. Making the best use of these mixed fleets presents a challenge for agencies since optimizing the assignment of vehicles to transit routes, scheduling charging, etc. require accurate predictions of electricity and fuel use. Recent advances in sensor-based technologies, data analytics, and machine learning enable remedying this situation;however, to the best of our knowledge, there exists no framework that would integrate all relevant data into a route-level prediction model for public transit. In this paper, we present a novel framework for the data-driven prediction of route-level energy use for mixed-vehicle transit fleets, which we evaluate using data collected from the bus fleet of CARTA, the public transit authority of Chattanooga, TN. We present a data collection and storage framework, which we use to capture system-level data, including traffic and weather conditions, and high-frequency vehicle-level data, including location traces, fuel or electricity use, etc. We present domain-specific methods and algorithms for integrating and cleansing data from various sources, including street and elevation maps. Finally, we train and evaluate machine learning models, including deep neural networks, decision trees, and linear regression, on our integrated dataset. Our results show that neural networks provide accurate estimates, while other models can help us discover relations between energy use and factors such as road and weather conditions.

With the continuous development of globalization, the Internet technology has achieved unprecedented rapid development. With the increasing number of intelligent network terminals, technologies such as the Internet of Things and cloud computing have been continuously applied in various fields, making the amount of Internet data appear explosive. This article details the background in the era of big data. This article clarifies the urgency and necessity of NIS control in the context of big data. It proposes three elements of the NIS control mechanism, namely network control personnel, environment and technology. The three elements are the starting point to establish a NIS control mechanism. This article starts with related control strategies and security control technologies to establish a NIS control evaluation system. The NIS control evaluation system is used to provide NIS control work. Reference standard. This paper proposes the relevant strategies for NIS control, and provides necessary suggestions for NIS work.
