While working on computers, people frequently confront with various kinds of problems, those beyond their extensive expertise. Microsoft Windows is the widely used Operating System running on numerous personal computers and the reason which gives more irritating problems that require to be addressed. Currently, troubleshooting is considered as a costly and time-consuming approach. The SAITA is an Artificial intelligent Troubleshooting Agent that utilizes natural language generation, machine learning, and dependency resolving and ontology-based methodologies for solving most common Windows-specific issues within a short period of time than the traditional approach. The assistant learns from the accessible data and accomplishes the task for users as performed by human experts. The main objective of this exploration venture is to distinguish the constraints of existing troubleshooting software and create an AI troubleshooting assistant to provide solutions to fix the identified user issues. The use of this assistant would be economical as an IT help desk alternative in the industry. SAITA is developed to serve as a representative troubleshooter for fundamental user issues, service issues, application issues, and perform environment setup by analyzing software. This system will be able to solve the common Windows user's issues as same as a human with less time.

Carefully constructed cyber-attacks directly influence the data integrity and the operational functionality of the smart energy grid. In this paper, we have explored the data integrity attack behaviour in a wide-area sensor-enabled IIoT-SCADA system. We have demonstrated that an intelligent cyber-attacker can inject false information through the sensor devices that may remain stealthy in the traditional detection module and corrupt estimated system states at the utility control centres. Next, to protect the operation, we defined a set of critical measurements that need to be protected for the resilient operation of the grid. Finally, we placed the measurement units using an optimal allocation strategy by ensuring that a limited number of nodes are protected against the attack while the system observability is satisfied. Under such scenarios, a wide range of experiments has been conducted to evaluate the performance considering IEEE 14-bus, 24 bus-reliability test system, 85-bus, 141-bus and 145-bus test systems. Results show that by ensuring the protection of around 25% of the total nodes, the IIoT-SCADA enabled energy grid can be protected against injection attacks while observability of the network is well-maintained.

Industry 4.0 started to revolutionize the industrial processes, forcing industries of all the sector to digitize the current operation in the organization. Fast growing economy and increased customer demands also place important role in digitizing process. According to Infield Solutions research in 2017, currently 70% of the Fortune companies are using IoT in their business model, IoT is used for varies purposes for predicting maintenance, intelligent sensors on the jet engines, smart grid are used for utility services and energy control. Current IoT networks are connected to centralized system which is facing issues related to security and data reliability. Blockchain (chronological chain of block) is a peer-to-peer distributed ledger forged by agreement, shared with a system for “smart contracts”. The decentralized feature of blockchain overcomes the security and data reliability issues in IoT. However, on the other hand supply chain disruptions are causing huge impact on the logistics network. For creating resilient logistics network, all the parties across the supply chain (beyond tier 1) must be collaborated in order to trust each stakeholder. Based on these issues I devised two research questions: Research methods include preliminary analysis of the literature review for theoretical knowledge. Conduct interview or send research questions to the managers. Finally, concluding on how Blockchain and IoT can create resilient logistics network by Risk Management. Based on the survey results will be drawn.

The advent of internet enabled small form factor computational devices have already revolutionized the way we fetch information, envision intelligent systems by inferencing real-time analytics from these IoT devices. The current trend is focused towards enabling IoT edge gateways as intermediary computational resources contrary to the cloud model that performs all the heavy lifting in the cloud. It is estimated that billions of IoT devices will be deployed by year 2020, however, very little to no information is present on ease of device provisioning. Similarly, the IoT Edge based vertical markets concepts has begun to surface, however, very little information is available that discusses the merits and demerits of this newly envisioned network architecture. This paper aims to implement a Health-care domain scenario by provisioning and connecting real-time device data from simulated as well as emulated virtual IoT devices on industry leading IoT platforms. The results provide a deeper understanding of system performance by evaluating network latencies with increased payloads which further signifies the role and need for deploying Edge IoT gateways within the network. Device provisioning, service profiling and the ease of group resource management is also presented which helps to build larger scalable networks on these IoT platforms.

Highly synchronized timed event systems managed by programmable logic controllers are ubiquitous in manufacturing. Discrete event system methods such as finite state machines and Petri Nets have been useful for diagnosing known faults in such systems. However, existing methods do not scale as well for practical applications where faulty behavior is not fully known and event timing may vary. With the advent of big data, a new methodology is presented that strengthens fault diagnosis capabilities utilizing machine learning and Timed Petri Nets. The hybrid approach consists of building a Timed Petri Net model of the normal process to help select discriminating features based on timed event sequences. This work focuses on modeling Timed Petri Nets to serve as knowledge representations of the nominal process behavior to guide data-driven fault diagnosis of timed event systems. A methodology based on identification of observable events is introduced, consisting of three different and complementary heuristics including demarcating periods, modeling concurrencies, and imposing synchronizations. Then, using features selected by using the Timed Petri Net, a nonlinear SVM is implemented for multiclass fault classification. The proposed framework is applied to an existing semiconductor manufacturing process with events timed via binary programmable logic controller signals. With over 97% validation accuracy achieved for fault diagnosis, the hybrid modeling approach shows promise for smart manufacturing applications.

It has been proven that blockchain applications are being utilized in healthcare to deliver secure data and to manage the medical data safely. The 4th industrial revolution is marked by the use of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs) to achieve higher levels of flexibility and adaptation in production systems that need to cope with a demanding and ever-changing market, driven by mass customization and high quality products. In this context, data analysis is a key technology enabler in the development of intelligent machines and products. However, in addition to Cloud-based data analysis services, the realization of such CPS requires technologies and approaches capable to effectively support distributed and embedded data analysis capabilities. The advances in Edge computing have promoted the data processing near or at the devices that produce data, which combined with Multi-Agent Systems, allow to develop solutions based on distributed and interacting autonomous entities in open and dynamic environments. In this sense, this paper presents a modular agent-based architecture to design and embed cyber-physical components with data analysis capabilities. The proposed approach defines a set of data processing modules that can be combined to build cyber-physical agents to be deployed at different computational layers. The proposed approach was applied in a smart inspection station for electric motors, where agents embedding data analysis algorithms were distributed among Edge, Fog and Cloud layers. The experimental results illustrated the benefits of distributing the data analysis by different computational layers.

Blockchain based applications benefit from decentralization, data privacy, and anonymity. However, they may suffer from inefficiency due to underlying blockchain. In this paper, we aim to address this limitation while still enjoying the privacy and anonymity. Taking the blockchain based crowdsourcing system as an example, we propose a new smart contract based cyber-insurance framework, which can greatly shorten the delay, and enable the workers to obtain the economic compensation for increased security risk caused by a conflict between the need to provide service quickly and delay in payment. We model the process of determining insurance premium and number of confirmations as a Stackelberg Game and prove the existence of Stackelberg Equilibria, at which the utility of the requester is maximized, and none of the workers can improve its utility by unilaterally deviating from its current strategy. The experimental results show that our framework can definitely improve the time efficiency of crowdsourcing. Particularly, it takes on average only 33% of the time required by the naive blockchain based crowdsouring solution for time-sensitive cases.

Large cities seek to incorporate intelligent systems into their infrastructure, industrial, educational, and social activities to improve the quality of service provided to citizens and make all processes more efficient. To this end, these cities use technologies that involve the areas of the Internet of Things, Big data, and Governance to make decisions by governments and authorities. In the field of Urban computing, it is possible to use open data in the GTFS format to solve the problems of the urban transport system using complex network metrics that make it possible to model complex interactions between objects in high dimensionality. Stops and routes are modeled as a graph, characterized by complex network metrics. According to the literature, if there is an interruption of the urban transport system, we make an evaluation of the degree of vulnerability of the system in the search for solutions. The main goal of this paper is to propose an approach to analyze the vulnerability of the urban transport system using complex network metrics along with GTFS data in scenarios targeted failures. As a contribution, the proposed approach uses the concept of skewness in the methodology established in the literature. The skewness enables a better understanding and differential the failure conditions from the evaluation of the vulnerability the urban transport system, through a quantitative indication of which local metrics most influence the decay of network metrics. The analysis of the results obtained in the proposed approach serves as a subsidy for studies in the search for solutions to the problems of the urban transport system, providing a tool to the set of technological options for the planning of urban transport systems of smart cities available to governments and authorities. The proposed approach can be applied in different cities, regardless of their size and location, as long as you have access to open geographic data in the GTFS format.

The paper presents a design and an implementation of an intelligent detector of a novel "colluded applications" attack on user's privacy in Android OS devices, which employs recurrent neural network (RNN) models. The paper reports the results of an empirical study that involved the attack research, data collection and pre-processing, the choice of the RNN model for a detector design, multiple detector implementations, their performance evaluation and analysis, and finally, an Android app realization and execution on a real device. We investigate and analyze multiple attack scenarios and the attack influence on such technological signals as memory consumption and a CPU's cores clock speed. For the attack detection, a few detectors exploring multiple RNN models are designed, implemented, and examined. The detectors employ various RNN models, such as a simple recurrent neural network, a long short-term memory, and a gated recurrent unit. Each model's performance in detecting multiple attack scenarios is evaluated and analyzed in order to compare classification models against various criteria.
