Quantum computing has emerged as a transformative tool for future data management. Classical problems in database domains, including query optimization, data integration, and transaction management, have recently been addressed using quantum computing techniques. This tutorial aims to establish the theoretical foundation essential for enhancing methodologies and practical implementations in this line of research. Moreover, this tutorial takes a forward-looking approach by delving into recent strides in quantum internet technologies and the nonlocality theory. In the realm of wireless communication, facilitating easy interaction between smart devices linked to the internet of things, or IoT, has gained appeal. These intelligent devices automatically establish connections with one another to form a dynamic network. Nonetheless, ensuring secure access inside that this web is a challenge. This study addresses a critical concern in cloud computing, namely related to wireless connectivity. A cloud-based ad hoc network mobility concept is intended to enable secure communication amongst smart devices in various 5G networks. The proposed architecture in 5G presents a novel method for ensuring confidential communication inside the internet of Things. This approach prioritizes precise and efficient simulation, providing a feasible solution that might be seamlessly integrated into the evolving internet of Things landscape in the context of 5G. © 2024 IEEE.

As a way to provide ubiquitous connectivity, satellite constellations are becoming more and more popular due to the growing need for worldwide internet access. In order to provide dependable and seamless worldwide internet coverage, this study investigates how satellite constellations might be optimized by comparing and contrasting communication protocols and orbital topologies. This ambitious aim involves a number of problems and complications, which are explored in the research along with the trade-offs and design considerations that must be made in order for the implementation to be effective. Two main elements form the framework of the comparative analysis. First, by considering factors like latency, data throughput, and coverage efficiency, it evaluates a range of communication protocols, including traditional geostationary satellites, Low Earth Orbit (LEO) constellations, and Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) satellites. Second, to ascertain the effect of various orbital configurations on worldwide internet coverage, the study considers satellite dispersion, orbital altitudes, and coverage patterns. By means of this study, the research endeavors to provide a valuable contribution to the current discussion on satellite constellations for worldwide internet coverage, therefore facilitating well-informed decisions about the design and implementation of these systems. © 2024 IEEE.

Digitalizing existing systems for mass production is what's known as 'Smart Industry' or the Industrial internet of Things (IIoT). As a result of the interoperability of modern industrial equipment with IoT devices, a dizzying array of manufactured goods is being created. Problems with device availability, product dependability and product mobility for smart implementation, performance, security, scalability, interoperability, and energy efficiency are some of the research hurdles in Industrial IoT. This study presents a novel homomorphic encryption technique with improved performance. An analysis is conducted to assess the appropriateness of Homomorphic encryption for the Industrial internet of Things (IIoT), and a refined version of the current algorithm is suggested and put into practice. The method's findings are compared to those of current algorithms in terms of performance metrics such as encryption time, decryption time, and throughput. It is determined that the technique is effective for different sizes of plain text blocks. © 2024 IEEE.

The new technology, with the aid of newly emerging knowledge known as cloud computing, can provide resources remotely and on demand. With the use of cloud computing, users can operate in settings where they are not dependent on physical infrastructure. Numerous protocols facilitate the utilization of cloud computing resources. Cloud computing is internet-based technology that is made available to consumers of its resources and services and is billed depending on demand and usage. All cloud servers cannot see the precise place where the user is to be configured. User-generated secure keys are employed in the proposed work for both virtual machine (VM) switching and authentication. Every time a valid user is authenticated, a secure pass key is utilized to guarantee security and authentication between the user and the system. © 2024 IEEE.

Cloud computing, the fastest-growing IT technology, offers flexibility and scalability with pay-per-use models, but it raises concerns about data security due to third-party storage and online accessibility. Effective cloud security measures are crucial for protecting user data. The internet of Things (IoT) generates enormous amounts of data that must be efficiently processed and stored in the cloud. Blockchain technology enhances data security through its tamper-resistant distributed ledger and peer-to-peer networks, which allow any node with internet access to join or create networks. Cloud computing is a rapidly growing emerging technology in the IT environment. internet-based computing provides services like sharing resources e.g. network, storage, applications and software through the internet. Cloud customers can access these services according to their need and pay only for those services which they utilize. Almost every industrial sector like banking, retail, education, healthcare, manufacturing and businesses is adopting cloud techniques within their enterprise either privately or in sharing with other enterprises. However, many security issues must be resolved because they are a barrier in adopting this fast-growing technology. This paper reviews various threats on cloud computing like distributed denial of service attack, spoofing attacks (e.g. ARP Spoofing, IP Spoofing, DNS Spoofing), man-in-the middle attack, data loss, data breach, reused IP address attack, malicious insiders, insecure interfaces & APIs etc. These security issues prevent users from adopting cloud services. This study presents various detection and prevention methods to address cloud security concerns. The effectiveness of each strategy is then analyzed based on its attributes, benefits and drawbacks. Deep learning and machine learning algorithms produce more precise findings for both known and unidentified attack patterns. © 2024 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

A sequential recommendation algorithm named SAFTRec, based on the self-attention mechanism and Fourier transform, is proposed. using Fourier transform to filter the matrix output from the embedding layer. Effectively solves the noise problem that exists in sequence recommendation. Concurrently, the implementation of the self-attention mechanism aids in bolstering the sequence data's capacity for feature capture and in elevating the model's expressive capabilities. Rigorous experimentation on an authentic Amazon dataset has been executed, with outcomes indicating that our proposed approach excels over competing methods in terms of Hit Rate@N, NDCG@N, and MRR metrics. © 2024 IEEE.

Social influence is everywhere in people's lives. It controls users' activities in social networks. Understanding the mechanism of interactions between users in social networks can benefit various applications, such as recommendations. Traditional recommendation systems based on collaborative filtering suppose that the behaviors of users are independent of each other and ignore the influence relationships among users. However, different historical behaviors and social relationships of users result in different influences among users. First, the complete user behavior sequences are fed into a recurrent neural network to capture long term patterns of user interest in items. Secondly, a self-attention network is used to obtain short lived interests of users. Then the outputs of the recurrent neural network as queries are fed into another self-attention network to obtain user representations that combine transient effect of and long term patterns of users' interests, thereby predicting the ratings of users to items. Finally, the proposed recommendation system is used to recommend products that need to be promoted to the maximum number of users. The proposed method is verified to outperform the state-of-the-art algorithms on three real-world datasets. © 2024 IEEE.

The exponential growth in computing devices and the emergence of high-computing-dependent applications have led to a significant increase in energy demand. In response, this paper proposes the development of a novel green computing testbed aimed at addressing energy efficiency and sustainability in computing infrastructure. The testbed integrates highly energy-efficient computing infrastructure, a virtual machine-driven on-demand computing ecosystem, and Green AI model development as a service. The state-of-the-art 5G/6G infrastructure and services, such as ultra-low-latency communications, are investigated and identified as suitable for connecting the zero clients (with minimal capabilities) to remote computing and other facilities. Through a comprehensive measurement campaign, the testbed's energy efficiency and sustainability have been evaluated. This research presents a pioneering effort towards achieving sustainability in computing to support Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to enhance productivity with AI, with reduced cost, energy, and minimizing e-waste. © 2024 IEEE.
