In modern medicine, digital pathology represents one of the major and challenging research field. Pathological exams have a critical role in diagnosis process. Histopathological grading of breast cancer provides prior knowledge to the patients prognosis and helps to make further treatment plans. But, manual analysis of numerous biopsy slides is a labor-intensive work for pathologists. In the case of breast cancer grading, Nottingham grading system (NGS) is the standard. Tubule formation, nuclear atypia, and mitosis count are the three criterion used for NGS. Mitosis counts play an essential role for breast cancer grading. The recent advances in histopathology has the potential to assist the pathologist. This paper presents a comprehensive review on the state-of-the-art image analysis research focusing on automated detection of mitotic cells. The main goal of this paper is the development of a system to provide automatic detection and classification of mitosis from histopathological images.

Autonomous Rover requires navigating unknown areas and reaching target point successfully. Over the course, rovers may get trapped in a deadlock scenario. Rover must be built with intelligence to back trace its path and find an alternate route to avoid the trap situation. Maze is a typical case which can be used to train the rover to deal with such scenarios. This paper brings out a maze solver algorithm which can be implemented in a simple autonomous rover with limited onboard resources. Also the implementation details of the algorithm in LEGO Mindstorms Rover along with the experimental results are brought out here.

In this paper, a three phase full-bridge parallel loaded LC resonance converter based DC-DC LED driver is proposed for LED lighting applications. This converter reduces the ripple content to a very low value such that filter capacitor can be eliminated. This increases the lifespan of the LED driver. The filter inductor used is very small as the ripple content is reduced and ripple frequency is increased. ZVS is achieved in the proposed converter using parallel loaded LC resonance by which switching losses are minimized and efficiency of the converter is increased. Dimming is also employed in the proposed converter. LED current is controlled by varying switching frequency of the converter for supply voltage variations. The detailed description, circuit analysis and simulation results of the proposed converter are presented.

Today most of the libraries maintain a digitized version of their document. During the process of scanning the pages of an open book, often problems such as dark borders, show through and shadow are frequently encountered. The shadow is a result of less illumination near the sides of the pages and it degrades the visibility of text near the side. Also any dark areas in the borders mar the appeal of the document. People have carried out various works on removal of such noises in the past. In this paper we have described an effective method based on thresholding to remove show through, combination of horizontal and vertical projection profile and pixel scanning for detection and removal of shadow and dark borders from scanned document images without affecting the useful information contained in the document. The technique was tested on various scanned images and to assess the performance of the method various metrics were calculated and tabulated.

Day by day the sources of conventional energy are getting depleted. Finding alternative sources of energy is a need of today. Solar energy is abundantly available. The only drawback of this is its cost of processing and storing. If properly utilized and processed, it will be a great concern. In this paper, resonant converter is proposed to increase the voltage level of Solar PV cell required for driving an AC drive. As compared to conventional Inverter transformer topologies and Boost converter, the resonant converter has higher efficiency, smaller size of circuitry;hence the cost is reduced. This paper gives idea about the proposed scheme for 3 ph induction motor drive fed from solar PV cells with resonant converter. To validate the proposed scheme, simulation results are obtained and shown for a 3 ph, 440V, 2.1 kW Induction Motor.

The energy demand is growing drastically due to the technological developments in the world. It requires a smart energy distribution, scheduling and pricing based on the dynamic load demand. In this paper, a new Load Demand Taxonomy (LDT) based Energy Distribution and Pricing on Smart Grid is proposed. Based on the load demand and load request, the load is classified into different categories. Further, based load Taxonomy, Fuzzy pricing strategies is implemented. An Intelligent Block based Load Shifting Algorithm (IBLS) is proposed to maintain the load balancing and avoids demand request over the queue. From the simulation results it is observed that, the proposed algorithm controls the load demand and the dynamic pricing using load demand taxonomy controls the unit energy charge and provides benefit to the user. The IBLS with low category users to high category users satisfies a number of users and improves system fairness.

Credit Scoring is the primary method for classifying loan applicants into two classes, namely credible payers and defaulters. In general, credit score is the primary indicator of creditworthiness of the person. This credit scoring technique is used by banks and other money lenders to build a probabilistic predictive model, called a scorecard for estimating the probability of defaulters. In the current global scenario, credit scoring is a major tool for risk evaluation and risk management for all the existing and emerging economies. With the introduction of Basel II Accord, Credit scoring has gained much significance in retail credit industry. In this paper, we performed an extensive comparative in order to classify the credit scoring and identification of best classifier. Furthermore, we used two different categories of classifiers i.e. individual and ensemble. Identification of optimal machine-learning methods for credit scoring applications is a crucial step towards stable creditworthiness of the person. Different parameters Accuracy, AUC, F-measure, precision and recall are used for the evaluation of the results.

A CPW-Fed microstrip patch antenna of size 21x22x1.6 mm(3) along with its three variants is proposed in this paper. Two slots are introduced on the patch of the base antenna to study the antenna parameters, in terms of bandwidth, gain and directivity for analysis. The proposed antennas are suitable for wireless wideband applications roughly between frequency ranges of 4 GHz to 14 GHz approximately. All three antennas are showing good return losses, high bandwidth of approximately about 10 GHz, peak gain and directivity of approximately 4 dB. The microstrip antenna structures are configured on FR4 epoxy substrate. The configurations are simulated and analyzed using Ansys HFSS software. This study would be helpful in the designing of compact microstrip antennas with enhanced bandwidth for various purposes in the field of wireless communications in general and various earth science applications in particular at super high microwave frequency.

Music genre classification is a very popular tool used extensively in music industry all over the world. The information of rhythmic structure, instrumentation, and harmonic content about the music signal is visualized with the aid of genre. The task of genre classification was performed manually in early days. With the advancements in technology and signal processing algorithms, this task can now be done automatically. This paper reports the genre classification of audio signal by using multiple feature sets. Mel-Frequency Cesptral Coefficients (MFCCs), Spectral Rolloff, Time Domain Zero Crossings and Flux are the features used in this work. Gaussian mixture model (GMM) based classifier is employed for the final classification task. Simulation results are provided based on standard genre database using MATLAB. It is observed that the percentage classification improves when more number of features are used.

The aim of this paper is to design and simulate M-shaped rectangular antenna for various wireless applications. The proposed antenna has been developed on FR-4 substrate (epsilon(r)=4.4) with dimensions of 21.57x25.62x1.6 mm(3). The M-shaped radiating patch is etched with C-shaped slots in order to improve the performance of the antenna and generate multiple frequencies for various wireless applications. Copper material has been used as a conducting material for patch and ground. The proposed antenna resonates at 2.4GHz, 3.03GHz, 3.66GHz, 4.25GHz, 6.53GHz and 7.75GHz. Hence it application in Industrial Scientific and Medical (ISM) (2.4-2.483GHz) band and fixed mobile WiMAX(2-6GHz) applications. The proposed antenna has been designed and simulated using HFSS software.
