Superconducting Quantum Interference Devices (SQUID) are capable of detecting extremely small magnetic fields, even those as small as the ones produced by the ionic channel flows in the neurons of the human brain. Reading of such magnetic fields help in extremely accurate diagnosis of various ailments of the human brain. Magnetoencephalograms (MEGs) are far more accurate than the Electroencephalograms (EEGs) and are in most cases, more functional than functional Magnetic Resonance Images (fMRIs). This method is however not used much because of the complexities involved in the associated electronics that help in signal conditioning of the SQUID Magnetometer. In this paper, we propose Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) to simplify MEGs and make the subsystems more compact.

This paper describes an energy-efficient lighting system for underground and indoor parking lots. This system enables the lights to be used only when required and to be turned off otherwise. In this paper, a half-bridge series resonant converter based LED driver is proposed. ADC method is employed for regulating LED current. Here two LED loads are driven using two half-bridge converters. ZVS is achieved in the proposed converter using series LC resonance. Therefore switching losses are reduced which increases the converter efficiency. Ripple current is reduced using filter inductor thereby eliminating electrolytic capacitor. Thus lifespan of LED driver increases. Dimming is achieved in the proposed converter. Proposed converter also regulates LED current against input voltage variations. The detailed description, circuit analysis and simulation results of the proposed converter are presented.

In such case we need to summarize the text document, so as to understand the key elements of the document. A Hybrid Automatic Summarizer using soft computing techniques namely, Fuzzy logic system and deep neural system is proposed. The summary is based on extractive summarization technique. Restricted boltzman Machine (RBM) is used in the deep neural network and fuzzy rule base on the sentences for feature extraction using a sentence matrix. Recently, the power dissipation has become the prime concern with the system-on-chip (SOC) as technology scales. Further, the memory component of the design is as crucial, as it is energy consuming. The conventional approach of circuit designing consumes a lot of power and occupies much area. Thus, the concept of reversible logic in circuit designing is garnering growing attention for low-power applications such as DNA computing, quantum computing and ultra-low power CMOS design. This paper proposes a reversible design of 4-bit 6-T SRAM array at 180nm-1.8V CMOS technology which achieves 8% reduction in energy consumption of the circuit. The designs are simulated on Cadence virtuoso 6.1.4 schematic editor. The present work also concludes with some insights on the operation of conventional SRAM 6-T cell and the feasibility of reversible logic.

In the recent past it has been statistically proven that heart diseases are the largest contributing factor to the increase in mortality rate. Diagnosis of heart disease depends on a number of factors such as heart-rate, cholesterol levels, blood pressure, age and many other physiological factors. In most of the cases the diagnosis is done based on the experience and intuition of the doctor. This requires the doctor to be highly skilled and experienced in order to diagnose properly. It would be very helpful if we developed methods that could extract useful information from tonnes of clinical data. This paper reviews the L-1/2 Logistic Regularization, Lasso, Elastic Net and Group Lasso regularization techniques, in order to select a subset of important features having the highest informative value in the prediction of heart diseases. Different regularization techniques select different subsets of features. This paper compares these techniques and finds out which is the most suitable method in the prediction of heart diseases.

Multiple load induction cooking application is in much demand today. This paper presents a Full bridge inverter operated at multiple frequencies for powering multiple induction heating loads. ADC control and PDM are employed. Three induction cooking loads are used. Each induction cooking load and one resonant capacitor forms a series resonant circuit. Two series resonant load circuits are simultaneously powered in one half cycle and another load is powered during next half cycle. Each load is operated at a constant frequency. Independent load power control is provided. The operation of the proposed inverter and simulation results are presented.
