In this paper, an analytical model to calculate magnetic field distribution for Planar Spiral Coil (PSC) is proposed. The magnetic field modeling plays a crucial role where magnetic field uniformity is of highest concern. PSC of three turns, inner radius (1mm), is modeled with the proposed model. Analytical results are verified with experimentally measured magnetic field results. Analytical modeling is carried out in MATLAB, whereas 3D FDTD tool Computer Simulation Technology (CST) is used for simulation.

In today's era, wireless body area network (WBAN) is an emerging trend in the field of wireless technology. Using WBAN networking and embedded sensors, the lifespan of the human will be increased. The proposed work in this paper is to improve an energy efficiency in collecting a patient data namely ECG, pulse rate, and temperature. These data were collected using PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) sensor which involves fingertip sensor technology. The PDA is a controller of a WBAN. The proposed work uses CASTALIA simulator and OMNET++ provides energy efficiency in collecting a patient data. In data link layer, MAC (Medium Access Control) protocols specific to WBAN help in energy efficiency.

In this paper, we present a detailed study on the performance of rectangular patch antenna along with Minkowski Island Fractal (MIF) monopole antenna structures. A modified MIF structure is considered here and compared with the conventional one. The monopole patch antenna structures are more compact, low profile, and are conformal. The behaviors of these antennas are studied, and it is found that the performance of modified fractal monopole antenna is superlative among all. This antenna can be used for many wireless applications. All the design and simulation process is performed using ANSYS HFSS software, and MATLAB is used for plotting of output data of all antenna performance parameters.

Defected Ground Structure have been used in to improve bandwidth enhancement in Microstrip and Monopole antenna. A Microstrip and Monopole antenna is designed here with rectangle patch which is and Microstrip and Monopole antenna both modified with three different DGS structures to improve the performance of antenna. A prototype of antenna is fabricated among Microstrip and Monopole antenna which gives better result. The designed Microstrip and Monopole antenna has return loss of less than 10 dB at WLAN frequency band. The Microstrip and Monopole antenna is simulated using the software IE3D (Integral Equation Three Dimensional) simulator and tested on Virtual Network Analyzer (VNA).

In this paper, two novel designs are proposed for the optical AND and OR gate using two dimensional photonic crystal. In the input section, some defects are created to the rods for transmitting the light followed by ring resonator. In the output section, some defects are created to get the output. Ring resonator has coupling and scatter rods to get the desired output. The proposed AND gate has the contrast ratio of 8.47dB. The transmission power for the OR gate is 0.7. The optical AND and OR gate can operate at the bit rate of 1Tb/s and 0.33Tb/s respectively. It is expected that in future the designs can be used in photonic integrated circuits due to their small size and simplicity.

Cloud computing focuses on demand services to the customers as pay-as-you go model with different Service level agreements at different levels. Most of the cloud services run with virtual machines. In this scenarios task scheduling plays an important role to schedule the tasks in an effective manner. The existing scheduling algorithms have the limitations like less memory utilization, high execution time, and high response time. These limitations in existing algorithms lead to inadequate load balance in dynamic situations, and provide the resource inefficient manner. In this paper, we have studied wide range of existing scheduling algorithms in cloud computing with respect to new metrics such as average migration time and electricity price per unit cost which are missing in existing studies, also studied conventional performance metrics like Response time, makespan, QOS, Memory utilization and Response time. Eventually, we have done the comparison study on existing scheduling algorithms and based on our study we identify the new research direction in the cloud scheduling algorithms.

With the growing popularity of cloud computing technology, data owners are moving towards cloud to outsource their data. It provides large amount of computing and storage with ease of access and economic saving. However, the data is not safe in cloud server as it faces many challenges like access control and privacy. Hence, the data is encrypted before uploading to the cloud to preserve the privacy of sensitive data but search over the encrypted data is a challenging task. A searchable encryption technique is required to search over the encrypted data to maintain the high level of privacy. Recently, many searchable encryption schemes have been proposed but they focused on single owner and single user scenario. In this paper, we propose a new approach for privacy preserving of outsourced data in cloud to support multiple owners and multiple users. Our design is based on the attribute-based encryption and tree based index. We prove the security and the efficiency of our scheme in security and performance analysis respectively.

Recent times, customer wants to share good and bad opinions about their experience like usage of recently purchased product, services provided by a hospital, education and so on over social media, micro blogs, review sites and etc. Today smart phones become mandatory for most of the college students. They share their experience and feelings immediately over internet applications with others. Student opinions can be collected through the internet applications and can be categorized based on various entities. We propose a new method of analysing online student feedback collected from twitter API by measuring semantic relatedness between aspect word and student opinion sentence. The results of this work will help the students to improve their studies and helps the instructors to improve their teaching skills. In this work classification and clustering techniques have been used to categorize the opinions.

This paper deals with the development in agricultural activities like irrigation, soil temperature and moisture measurement using digital technologies and wireless sensors. Water is the heart of irrigation system and shortage of water is a growing issue for farmers. Water quantity needs to be checked for better productivity and sustainability of crops. Water regulation for different crops is different as insufficient or excessive water can be destructive for farming. An automatic wireless sensor based Irrigation Water Regulation support system is being developed. The proposed system estimates the water requirement for crops on the basis of soil moisture data gathered by several sensor nodes deployed in the field. Automation proved time and cost effective in a manner which is of great boon to the industry and as well as for entrepreneur in all the dimensions.
