Data mining is the process of finding unknown relations from the databases. In Data mining, classification is the branch of learning which deals with the labeled instances. The existing classification algorithms are not efficient on imbalance datasets. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm known as Over Sampling using Diversified Distribution (OSDD), to overcome the problem of class imbalance learning. The OSDD algorithm identifies the unique diversified distributions for efficient oversampling. The experimental results suggest that the proposed approach performs better than the compared approach in terms of AUC, precision, recall and f-measure.

Superconducting Quantum Interference Devices (SQUID) are capable of detecting extremely small magnetic fields, even those as small as the ones produced by the ionic channel flows in the neurons of the human brain. Reading of such magnetic fields help in extremely accurate diagnosis of various ailments of the human brain. Magnetoencephalograms (MEGs) are far more accurate than the Electroencephalograms (EEGs) and are in most cases, more functional than functional Magnetic Resonance Images (fMRIs). This method is however not used much because of the complexities involved in the associated electronics that help in signal conditioning of the SQUID Magnetometer. In this paper, we propose Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) to simplify MEGs and make the subsystems more compact.

In this paper, two novel designs are proposed for the optical AND and OR gate using two dimensional photonic crystal. In the input section, some defects are created to the rods for transmitting the light followed by ring resonator. In the output section, some defects are created to get the output. Ring resonator has coupling and scatter rods to get the desired output. The proposed AND gate has the contrast ratio of 8.47dB. The transmission power for the OR gate is 0.7. The optical AND and OR gate can operate at the bit rate of 1Tb/s and 0.33Tb/s respectively. It is expected that in future the designs can be used in photonic integrated circuits due to their small size and simplicity.

In this paper, a half-bridge series resonant converter based LED driver is proposed. ADC method is employed for regulating LED current. Here two LED loads are driven using two half-bridge converters. ZVS is achieved in the proposed converter using series LC resonance. Therefore switching losses are reduced which increases the converter efficiency. Ripple current is reduced using filter inductor thereby eliminating electrolytic capacitor. Thus lifespan of LED driver increases. Dimming is achieved in the proposed converter. Proposed converter also regulates LED current against input voltage variations. The detailed description, circuit analysis and simulation results of the proposed converter are presented.

Amount of text for a particular topic is increasing at an exponential rate each day, causing availability of bulk text data, some of which will be relevant to our search while some data may be irrelevant. In such case we need to summarize the text document, so as to understand the key elements of the document. A Hybrid Automatic Summarizer using soft computing techniques namely, Fuzzy logic system and deep neural system is proposed. The summary is based on extractive summarization technique. Restricted boltzman Machine (RBM) is used in the deep neural network and fuzzy rule base on the sentences for feature extraction using a sentence matrix. Evaluation of hybridized systems gave better summary as compared to the individual systems.

Recently, the power dissipation has become the prime concern with the system-on-chip (SOC) as technology scales. Further, the memory component of the design is as crucial, as it is energy consuming. The conventional approach of circuit designing consumes a lot of power and occupies much area. Thus, the concept of reversible logic in circuit designing is garnering growing attention for low-power applications such as DNA computing, quantum computing and ultra-low power CMOS design. This paper proposes a reversible design of 4-bit 6-T SRAM array at 180nm-1.8V CMOS technology which achieves 8% reduction in energy consumption of the circuit. The designs are simulated on Cadence virtuoso 6.1.4 schematic editor. The present work also concludes with some insights on the operation of conventional SRAM 6-T cell and the feasibility of reversible logic.

Cloud computing focuses on demand services to the customers as pay-as-you go model with different Service level agreements at different levels. Most of the cloud services run with virtual machines. In this scenarios task scheduling plays an important role to schedule the tasks in an effective manner. The existing scheduling algorithms have the limitations like less memory utilization, high execution time, and high response time. These limitations in existing algorithms lead to inadequate load balance in dynamic situations, and provide the resource inefficient manner. In this paper, we have studied wide range of existing scheduling algorithms in cloud computing with respect to new metrics such as average migration time and electricity price per unit cost which are missing in existing studies, also studied conventional performance metrics like Response time, makespan, QOS, Memory utilization and Response time. Eventually, we have done the comparison study on existing scheduling algorithms and based on our study we identify the new research direction in the cloud scheduling algorithms.

With the growing popularity of cloud computing technology, data owners are moving towards cloud to outsource their data. It provides large amount of computing and storage with ease of access and economic saving. However, the data is not safe in cloud server as it faces many challenges like access control and privacy. Hence, the data is encrypted before uploading to the cloud to preserve the privacy of sensitive data but search over the encrypted data is a challenging task. A searchable encryption technique is required to search over the encrypted data to maintain the high level of privacy. Recently, many searchable encryption schemes have been proposed but they focused on single owner and single user scenario. In this paper, we propose a new approach for privacy preserving of outsourced data in cloud to support multiple owners and multiple users. Our design is based on the attribute-based encryption and tree based index. We prove the security and the efficiency of our scheme in security and performance analysis respectively.

In the recent past it has been statistically proven that heart diseases are the largest contributing factor to the increase in mortality rate. Diagnosis of heart disease depends on a number of factors such as heart-rate, cholesterol levels, blood pressure, age and many other physiological factors. In most of the cases the diagnosis is done based on the experience and intuition of the doctor. This requires the doctor to be highly skilled and experienced in order to diagnose properly. It would be very helpful if we developed methods that could extract useful information from tonnes of clinical data. This paper reviews the L-1/2 Logistic Regularization, Lasso, Elastic Net and Group Lasso regularization techniques, in order to select a subset of important features having the highest informative value in the prediction of heart diseases. Different regularization techniques select different subsets of features. This paper compares these techniques and finds out which is the most suitable method in the prediction of heart diseases.

Multiple load induction cooking application is in much demand today. This paper presents a Full bridge inverter operated at multiple frequencies for powering multiple induction heating loads. ADC control and PDM are employed. Three induction cooking loads are used. Each induction cooking load and one resonant capacitor forms a series resonant circuit. Two series resonant load circuits are simultaneously powered in one half cycle and another load is powered during next half cycle. Each load is operated at a constant frequency. Independent load power control is provided. The operation of the proposed inverter and simulation results are presented.
