Automating the process of predicting diseases prove assistive and time-saving for a practitioner in the field of medical diagnosis. The accurate prediction of any disease not only helps the patients know about their health but also helps the doctors in medication suggestion well in advance. In today's lifestyle, advance knowledge about health and proper care can add a number of living days to a patient's life. In this paper, the prediction of chronic kidney disease (CKD) is performed using individual and ensemble learners. The experiments are performed on CKD dataset was taken from UCI repository. The three different classifiers from individual classifiers, namely, Naive Bayes(NB), minimal sequential optimization (SMO), J48, and three ensemble classifiers, namely, Random Forest (RF), bagging, AdaBoost respectively are used for prediction. We have used the open source, weka tool, for all the experiments. The results are evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, F-measure and ROC performance measures. The results suggested that the decision tree based individual learner (J48) and random forest from ensemble classifier respectively perform better than the other classifiers.

Mode conversion losses are a big concern when an oversize rectangular waveguide is used to minimize ohmic losses. Oversized waveguide components [1] can be used to minimize ohmic losses when a signal must be transported over a large distance. The waveguide devices at both ends are usually in a smaller and connected by suitable transitions to the overmode waveguide. This combination forms a resonant cavity for higher order modes. We examine how the transmission of the fundamental mode is affected by resonances in the higher order modes. We present the design and simulation results of Transition and Bends. Waveguide bends are known to induce coupling between modes. We could not find in literature a comprehensive set of numerical results in a form suitable for practical applications. This motivated us to produce such a set of results, and to analyze practical consequences, including overmode trapping between waveguide transitions. [2] All the components were simulated using the CST microwave studio [3]. First we have designed the transition and simulated in CST environment. Which gives dips in insertion loss due to the spurious overmode. After that the oversized E and H plane bend were designed and simulated to overcome the coupling between the overmodes.

In this paper, a solitary phase Nine-Level cascaded H-Bridge (CHB) based Shunt Active Power Filter (SHAPF) in view of basic controller is proposed. Synchronous Reference Frame theory (SRF) is utilized for reference source current extraction and to create gating pulses for the SHAPF. The principle point of the cascaded bridge is to dispense harmonics, enhance power factor and reactive power compensation of the single-phase distribution framework. The suggested control calculation has two parts, changing the load current into stationary reference outline directions and estimation of peak amplitude of load currents. Consequently, a basic and dependable controller effortlessly of execution was created. The calculation for single-phase shunt active filter is intending to perform with exact tracking performance under step changes in load currents and to give great dynamic compensation. In this paper, synchronous reference theory PLL with Inverse-Park change is adopted for producing quadrature part of current. The execution of the control calculation is tried and assessed utilizing MATLAB/Simulink tool.

Remote monitoring in a continuous manner is a key component of ambulance transports for patients with severe diseases. The measurements of the patients, e.g. their heart rate, temperature, level of glucose and many more, should constantly be reported to the hospital with expert doctors to give instructions to people in ambulance so that the patient survives on the way to hospital where more instruments and expert doctors are available in hand. In rural areas, the coverage of communication services are not sufficient for transmission of such signals, so the available bandwidth should be used in an efficient manner, or severe irreparable damages can be caused for the patient. The available bandwidth can come from different sources like satellite communication, 2G/3G/4G communication from different carriers, or other wireless communications available for ambulances specifically. Given that the physiological states of a patient are of different priorities and that the different sources of communications have different bandwidths (and so different round trip time), an important issue is to schedule the right physiological state of the patient to the right communication channel, so that the cost incurred to the patient minimizes In this paper, we investigate the performance of different scheduling algorithms on our system model, and propose an adaptive communication scheme for remote monitoring of critically ill patients who are receiving ambulance transport in rural areas with poor communication coverage to minimize the instantaneous incurred damage to these patients.

In present scenario, high-speed train can be considered as a speedy and essential public transportation system, which brings meaningful comfort to passengers. In this paper, we investigate all possible architectures to efficiently provide broadband internet services for passengers onboard. We compare throughput of all possible architectures. Finally we examine implementation of new technologies like LTE, MIMO and MASSIVE MIMO for high speed train to enhance data rates. we discuss advantages and challenges for the implementation of new technology. Finally, We did simulation for high speed network which is combination of dedicated infrastructure and cellular system. We uses Trackside Access Point(TAP)parallel with the track. Then we discuss TAP association problem scenario. To get access of TAP service, user will decide whether to join in the queue or not and plot simulation for the same.

Identifying the spoken language from the speech is the emerging research area. For this task of language identification, experiments are implemented with two approaches such as Vector quantization (VQ) based clustering and Gaussian mixture modelling (GMM) with Mel frequency linear predictive cepstrum (MFPLPC), Mel frequency cepstmm (MFCC) and their shifted delta cepstral (SDC) features. Hypothesized language is identified based on minimum of averages and maximum log likelihood value corresponding to the model using minimum distance and Maximum a posteriori probability (MAP) classifiers. Better performance is observed for the basic feature MFPLP and VQ based clustering. The results are projected to indicate that the combined MFCC feature with its SDC component with size 52 has provided the better results using GMM as a modeling technique. Similarly, the combined MFPLP feature with its SDC component of size 52 provides next higher results as compared to the basic MFPLP feature of size 13 using clustering as a modeling technique. Overall performance of the system obtained is 99.81%. The database considered in this work contains speech utterances in seven classical and phonetically rich speaker specific Indian languages such as Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu.

High-utility itemset mining is a recent research area in data mining. It attracts many researchers as it extracts profitable products from a database. It considers both the quantity and profit of products. Several algorithms have been presented to mine high-utility itemsets. There are some bio inspired algorithms like Genetic Algorithm, Particle swarm optimization and Ant colony system are also used to retrieve high utility itemsets. In this paper a Shuffled Complex Evolution of Particle Swarm Optimization (SCE-PSO) algorithm was used to retrieve high utility itemsets. In the SCE-PSO, a population of points is sampled randomly in the feasible space. Then the population is partitioned into several complexes, which is made to evolve based on PSO. At periodic stages in the evolution, the entire population is shuffled and points are reassigned to complexes. The performance of the SCE-PSO algorithm is compared to existing PSO and GA algorithms and results are compared. A benchmark dataset, Mushroom and Foodmart datasets are used for performance analysis. Execution times of the algorithms and the memory space used by the algorithms are considered as performance factors.

Several types of table layout structures are ubiquitous in digitalized document images and are characterized by their row and column separators. Document image may consist of several undesirable lines introduced due to improper scanning, crease formation, accidental remarks etc., in addition to the desired lines in tables. Since tables being an effective component of document images for representing an information, one needs to extract the table from the document images. The proposed method aims at removing unwanted straight lines in binary document images, without affecting the essential details of the table by a two-step process. In the first step, the extraction of necessary details of the tables containing lines as row and column separators along with their respective frames is performed using Mask Processing. The second step involves the detection and removal of all straight lines using a Pseudo Diagonal Image (PDI) and its rotation. The proposed method exploits the novelty in utilizing a single mask for the detection of tables instead of multiple masks, hence the computational complexity for processing is lesser. Independency in the thickness of table boundary while extraction is also an effective characterization of the proposed algorithm. The Obtained result shows 93.35% precision and 92.33% recall.

The objective of this study is to assess the utility of spectral and wavelet energy measures in detecting electrical onset of seizure in patients with temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE). The scalp-recorded EEG data of 20 seizures from 11 TLE patients is used for this study. The spectral and wavelet energy in same set of frequency bands are calculated for each 4 s windowed EEG signal. Among the 14 measures, 3-6 Hz and 6-12 Hz band spectral and wavelet energy increases at electrical onset in 60% and 90% of the recorded seizures respectively. The spectral and wavelet energy in 1-3 Hz band increases in 40% of the recorded seizures. This study identifies the correlation between spectral and wavelet energy in same frequency bands. Hence the simple and efficient spectral energy measures are selected as significant features for the design of automated seizure detection system.

Due to incapability in speaking and hearing, there always exist a group of people in the community who face difficulties in communication. These people use some symbols and gestures to convey their messages and receive their messages, this form of communication is known as Sign Language. We have provided a solution based on dynamic time warping (DTW) for the first module and software based solution for the second module by exploiting the latest technology of Microsoft Kinect depth camera which tracks the 20 joint location of human beings. In sign to speech/text conversion block, the actor performs some valid gestures within the Kinect field of view. The gestures are taken up by the Kinect sensor and then interpreted by comparing it with already stored trained gestures in the dictionary. After the sign is recognized, it is copied to the respective word which is transferred to the speech conversion and text conversion module to produce the output. In the second block, which is a speech to sign/gesture conversion, the person speaks in Kinect field of view which is taken by the Kinect, and the system converts speech into text, and corresponding word is mapped into predefined gesture which is played on the screen. This way a disabled person can visualize the spoken word. The accuracy of sign to speech module is found to be 87% and that of speech to gesture module is 91.203%.
