To fulfill the growing demand for the future workforce in quantum, we need to come up with workforce development programs at the undergraduate level. This paper reflects on discussions with industry professionals and academics that have indicated the need for a future quantum workforce, including all levels of post-secondary education, and it presents an exploration of an experiential learning pedagogy aimed at teaching quantum concepts to undergraduate students. The challenge is the intricate and often abstract domain of quantum mechanics. Due to their complexity, quantum concepts pose a unique challenge in educational settings, making hands-on demonstration and accessible understanding a formidable task. We review the pedagogical approach of project-based learning in The Quantum Game Club at Purdue, a student-led organization that is a community from diverse academic backgrounds, such as Computer Science, Physics, and engineering, who work on fun and creative quantum computing projects. The club aims to introduce students to quantum and provide the necessary resources to work on projects by utilizing curated assignments that help students understand basic information about quantum circuits and algorithms. After the introductory learning phase, the students are assigned to different teams working on projects related to their interests. Club students successfully completed projects resulting in publications and web apps and went on to win quantum hackathons. To further enhance the learning experience, the VIP (Vertically Integrated Projects) team QuantAlgo was established to provide students with a more immersive industrial experience by facilitating collaboration with companies on more research-heavy projects.

In order to analyze the students' MOOC learning situation and feed back the learning results in a timely manner, this paper uses MOOC data mining in teaching practice to establish a learning and teaching management model to evaluate and predict the students' learning quality. In this scheme, feature engineering method is applied to mine the characteristics of MOOC learners' behavior, and an improved global optimal guidance support vector machine(SVM) is proposed. With the learning behavior log of learners in multiple MOOCs as the data source, the improved method is adopted to extract and process the data to acquire the relevant characteristics of learners, which is used to provide effective methods and references for prediction analysis research in MOOC environment. The case analysis results show that it can provide the best technical solution for online learning effect prediction in combination with the relevant needs of MOOC education indicator evaluation. © 2024 The Authors.

This paper presents the development of Laboratory-Based teaching and learning activities of communication systems to promote functional skills in the 21(st) century. The research process consists of 1) exploring the needs needed to develop teaching and learning in the 21(st) century;2) developing the SLDEA Laboratory-Based learning model consisting of 5 steps: Searching, learning, Exchanging, Doing, and Assessment;3) creating the instructional package to be as a research tool including a teacher's manual, a simulator, an experimental set of antennas, experimental set of the radio transmission system, a learning achievement test;and 4) implementing the research tools to be used with a sample group of 20 undergraduate students in the semester 2/2023 in the Bachelor of Science in Technical Education, Department of teacher training in electrical engineering at the King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, Thailand. The findings showed that 1) the quality of the research tools developed by five experts was at a high level of appropriation;2) the learners' learning achievement had an average of 73.54% and 3) the learners' satisfaction level with Laboratory-Based teaching and learning activities of Basic Communication Systems was at a high level. Therefore, it can be concluded that the learning activities developed can encourage learners to have practical skills in the 21st century and have experiences in self-learning and lifelong learning. This skill can lead to the creation of innovations and technologies that can support the industrial sector in the 4.0 era.

Under the traditional teaching mode, on the basis of the problem that the automatic control theory course cannot stimulate students' independent learning ability, cultivate students' innovation ability, and enhance students' comprehensive literacy, this paper explores the flipped classroom teaching mode, which can guide students to learn independently, think in inquiry, and improve in expansion, and applies it to the automatic control theory. Due to the characteristics of the automatic control theory course, it constructs the self-learning system before class, the teaching link system during class, and the consolidation and teaching evaluation system after class. Through practice, it has been proven that the flipped classroom teaching mode not only achieves good teaching results in automatic control theory course, while also cultivating students' creative thinking and comprehensive qualities.

The way we learn new skills is constantly evolving, which is partly caused by the technology in our hands. Shift towards on-demand learning like "learn when I need it", "learn when I can", "learn by doing" or "learn when I have time to focus" has been possible by enabling flexible study environments. Our focus to learn is greatly affected by the abundance of information that has been made available through different sources. The lecturer has played a key role in selecting the required information and teaching a particular skill as defined by a learning outcome. However, to accommodate the technological aspect, the change in ways we used to learn causes the need for a change in teaching delivery as well. By offering full e-learning courses ("learning when I can"), which are built up as project-based learning ("learn by doing") we can fill up some of the gaps with the danger of introducing new ones. In this research we look at the evolvement of various, full e-learning Moodle courses made for engineering students and conducted throughout several years for different study groups (study program, gender, mandatory/optional course, group size). In addition, the use of e-learning is looked at from the COVID-19 perspective (including preceding and following periods). Comparative studies are carried out to show the importance (or necessity) of selected teaching methodology component(s) and how it helps (or demotivates) to support the learning process in a flipped, virtual classroom but also how it may affect the efficiency of teaching itself.

Deep learning (DL) is assisting academicians and medical professionals in uncovering latent opportunities in data and enhancing the healthcare industry. The edge computing applications like smart healthcare systems where accurate decision-making is required for fast medical treatment. DL in healthcare allows clinicians to correctly analyze any ailment and treat it, resulting in improved medical decisions. We present a unique DL model for the autonomous healthcare edge computing application in this paper. Computer Aided Diagnosis (CAD) is an essential requirement of healthcare edge computing where the patient's medical data is used for fast and accurate disease prediction. Propose the DL-based CAD model for automatic disease classification from the input medical images. The model consists of pre-processing, DL-based feature engineering, and classification. Input medical image is first pre-processed for quality improvement and then automatic features are extracted using the pre-trained DL models (ResNet50 and Densenet201). The pre-trained models are improved by performing the feature scaling followed by a separate classification phase. The proposed CAD model is experimentally evaluated using the medical images dataset. The results reveal the efficiency of the proposed model compared to underlying solutions.

For instance, AI (artificial intelligence centric tools have been integrated into educational technology networks, especially within the engineering department. This integration aims to support the personalized and interactive learning needs among second language learners (L2). Implementing AI resources like chatbots, virtual tutors, and interactive games/simulations allows L2 learners to receive the personalized service they need according to their language level by computing student performance levels and acting directly on learning feedback. These resources are also interactive tools, providing L2 learners an opportunity to work on their own time while being supported in real-time as needed. Using our AI tools in learning pedagogy for L2 learners in engineering education has been effective. Research shows that AI tools can potentially enhance language skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving among L2 learners. It also boosts students' engagement and motivation, which results in superior learning outcomes. However, AI integration presents challenges, including potential time and resources for internal training and support of instructors using such a platform and learners engaged with it, content accuracy/relevance, and privacy compliance. Educators must find a happy medium between AI tools and classroom-based teaching when using Artificial intelligence for education. In this context, AI tools can be successfully integrated into learning pedagogy for L2 learners in engineering education and are likely to enhance their academic performance overall. If successfully applied and appropriate issues considered, it can improve the teaching-learning process, enabling better preparation for their engineering-based career $\mathbf{L} 2$ learners. © 2024 IEEE.

In modern education, learning Science, Technology, engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) has become an essential requirement. Physical computing, embedded systems, and Internet of Things (IoT) have been widely used in STEM education and the Arduino platform has emerged as a de facto standard for teaching and learning them. However, with the recent advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI), students are tempted to over-relay on Large Language Models (LLMs). As a result, the auto-generation of software source codes by students using LLMs has become a significant threat to achieving the Intended learning Outcomes (ILOs) of their course of study. Unlike standard software source code developed for general-purpose computing, firmware developed for the Arduino platform directly interacts with hardware components and consists of specific syntaxes. As a result, existing AI-based Auto Code Detectors underperform in detecting auto-generated source code for the Arduino platform. This paper presents an approach for detecting LLM-generated firmware source code for the Arduino platform using code stylometry features. The proposed approach evaluates lexical and syntactic features to differentiate LLM-generated and human-written firmware source codes for the Arduino platform. The results demonstrate a significant mean accuracy of 0.91, indicating that the proposed approach can accurately classify whether code is written by a human or generated by an LLM. © 2025 IEEE.

With the continuous deepening and popularization of modern educational technology, the construction of course teaching based on online educational resources has become the main trend of information and intelligent development in university course teaching. The emergence of Hadoop cloud computing technology has provided a better way to share teaching resources and a good open learning space for students to learn independently. This article starts with the characteristics of information-based teaching, elaborates on the design ideas of an autonomous learning platform based on Hadoop technology, and proposes to integrate HBase and MySQL databases, construct modules such as material library, learning library, test library, and communication library to achieve the functions of the autonomous learning platform, in order to improve the motivation and effectiveness of students' autonomous learning and promote the level of course informatization construction. © 2023 IEEE.
