This study investigated the influence of engineering design classes with peer assessment on learning outcomes and the learners' and instructor's perceptions of peer assessment. For this purpose, 39 college engineering students in the engineering design class at a university in Korea were asked to conduct peer assessments twice. As a result, engineering design classes with peer assessment significantly improved learners' computational thinking, creative problem-solving, and collective efficacy. The learners and the instructor recognized that peer assessment can help develop problem-solving skills and cultivate a mindset as an engineer in the engineering design. However, they commonly noted the problem of insufficient time for assessment activities during class. Some students also doubted their own and their peers' ability as assessors. This study contributed to expanding the understanding of the role of peer assessment in the context of engineering design education.

This research seeks to establish the relationship between the perception of the social dimension of the culture of teaching evaluation and its relationship with the satisfaction of students at a private university in Lima. It is a crosscutting, descriptive and correlational research with a non-experimental quantitative approach. The methodological design consisted of selecting a representative sample of students and carrying out the collection and analysis of information using two validated instruments. The result was that there was a positive correlation between the proposed variables, that is, that the greater the perception of the social dimension of the evaluative culture, the higher the student's satisfaction. Similarly, statistical evidence suggests that there is an average relationship between the perception of the social dimension of the evaluative culture of learning and student satisfaction at a private university in Lima (0,000 <= 0.05).

The identification and consideration of learning styles in the current context of digital transformation in university education implies in the need to adapt teaching methods to the characteristics and preferences of students in the digital age. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between learning styles and academic performance in health sciences students at a private Peruvian university in the context of digital transformation. For this purpose, a basic research methodology with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, cross-sectional and correlational descriptive level was used. The sample was composed for 110 students in the first semester of health sciences school from a private peruvian university who responded to the Honey and Alonso learning styles test (CHAEA) to measure the learning styles variable (LS), while to measure the academic performance variable the academic record was used. Spearman's Rho statistic was used for the correlation test. The results showed that the most frequent style was the theorist style (68.2% for high and very high levels), a greater frequency of well-achieved learning (71.8%), and the absence of a significant relationship between learning styles and academic performance (Active LS: p=0.318;Reflective LS: p=0.648;Theoretical LS: p=0.763). It was concluded that there is no meaningful relationship between learning styles and academic performance in health sciences students.

A large number of active bots in social networks pose a significant threat to the security of these networks. Although models based on Graph Transformer have achieved good results in bot detection tasks, they tend to focus more on global information, thereby neglecting the local information from neighbor nodes that are more similar to the target node. This phenomenon is known as over-globalization. We propose DGBot, a contrastive learning model based on cluster partitioning and relational graph convolutional networks (RGCN), which injects more local information into the Transformers model, thereby improving the model's ability to extract local information. Extensive experiments on two widely-used public datasets demonstrate that DGBot outperforms competitive baselines.

When preparing a mathematics' course unit of an engineering degree, the teacher usually builds a training structure which only supports contents, learning outcomes and assessment. But this is not enough to provide guidance and reflection to the teacher about the learning activities to be implemented nor the learning itself. The pedagogical resource presented in this paper is the expansion of the training structure to all educational elements needed for the implementation of the student-centered approach, which contains the teaching and learning activities set for each learning objective, the active learning techniques to be applied, the didactic resources needed, the types of assessment to be used and the duration of each learning objective to be achieved, in addition to the contents, learning outcomes and assessment established for the course unit. This detailed planning allows to structure the whole teaching-learning process of the course unit, considering the available timeframe, the application environment, the students' competences to be exercised and the teacher's pedagogical skills. An example of the application of the expansion of the pedagogical alignment is given within the context of a mathematics' course unit of a degree in Technology and Industrial Management, linking the syllabus, the learning objectives, the teaching-learning activities for each topic, the didactic resources structured on an IT platform and the method of evaluation. It is clear in this example that the application of the expansion of the pedagogical alignment fostered the increase of the success rate and the reduction of the dropout rate of the mathematics' course unit.
