Assessment has long been seen as an important part of teaching and has shown to have an impact on how students approach learning. In this study students' experience of assessment in an online introductory programming course is investigated. This is studied through semi-structured interviews, with seven students, which are analyzed using a phenomenographic research approach. The results consist of five categories in which the students experience the given assessment;the grading is important to the teacher, the grading is important to the student, assessment as guidance, assessment as an opportunity to learn and assessment as a way to communicate. This paper also shows that three categories, assessment as guidance, assessment as an opportunity to learn and assessment as a way to communicate, are the most desirable.

The research proposes an AI-driven personalization framework for enhancing the efficiency and engagement of HR marketing campaigns. The system integrates real-time data processing, collaborative filtering, and feedback loops to dynamically recommend job opportunities tailored to individual candidate preferences. Using an HR-related dataset from Kaggle, the framework preprocesses data by handling missing values, scaling numerical features via Min-Max Scaling, and reducing dimensionality using Principal Component Analysis (PCA). Collaborative Filtering is employed to predict candidate preferences through matrix factorization, dynamically updating recommendations based on real-time user interactions. The experimental evaluation highlights the framework's superior performance compared to traditional methods. Click-Through Rate (CTR) improved significantly, with AI-driven personalization achieving 30% compared to 18% from rule-based methods and 12% from the baseline. Accuracy analysis revealed that Collaborative Filtering outperformed random and content-based methods, achieving the highest precision (85%), recall (88%), and F1-score (86%). These results underscore the effectiveness of AI in aligning candidate preferences with recruitment goals while ensuring dynamic adaptation through feedback. The proposed system also seamlessly integrates personalized insights into HR marketing channels such as job portals, email campaigns, and social media advertisements, optimizing recruitment processes and enhancing user engagement. Future research aims to extend the dataset to include diverse candidate profiles, incorporate multi-modal data sources, and leverage deep learning for improved recommendation accuracy. Additionally, explainability techniques will be explored to ensure transparency and build trust among users. This framework demonstrates the transformative potential of AI-driven personalization in reshaping HR marketing strategies.

We present the results of a study of learning types of CS students. In computer science education there seems to be a prevalence of visually oriented teaching methods. However, as the results of our investigation show, the learners may not actually benefit from this trend. This is valuable information in the context of including visually impaired learners in computer science classes - since these learners suffers the greatest disadvantages from visually oriented teaching and learning aids. Our results indicate that a different approach to CSEd placing more emphasis on kinesthetic and textual material may be of advantage for all CS students alike and also foster the inclusion of visually impaired learners.

To achieve learners' satisfaction and increase acceptance of e-learning among students, an investigation of the technological aspects of e-learning system is urgently needed. The purpose of this study was to identify the most important aspects of an e-learning system that may influence users' perceived usefulness of the e-learning system in Malaysian context. A pilot study was conducted on 100 engineering students at a local university. The findings revealed that four variables namely ease of access, interface design, system quality and internet quality were the most important factors affecting the satisfaction of the e-learning system.

We present a narrative around the use of a peer assisted teaching program to establish its utility in improving teaching and learning outcomes. The program is a structured and collegial approach where academics work together to reinvigorate their teaching practice through reflection and peer-assisted situated learning. The scheme involves colleagues collaborating to analyse existing course and teaching quality data, develop focussed development goals for curriculum and pedagogy, plan and execute strategies to achieve these goals, and monitor their effects and success during a teaching semester. The experience presented in this paper involved a paired peer relationship between two Information and Communication Technology (ICT) lecturers (colleagues) who taught disparate courses and who had separate goals. Despite the apparent dichotomy in the courses taught and the course outcomes, their experience with a small set of goals provided useful information about employing such a scheme, especially its effectiveness despite choosing simple goals. The partners were also inspired to use the scheme again and with a stronger sense of how they might prepare their goals and pursue better implementation thereof. The authors hope the experience will encourage others to adopt such a program or other similar peer assisted teaching schemes to improve teaching and learning outcomes, encourage collegial collaboration within departments, and foster engagement with learning and teaching scholarship.

Augmented Reality (AR) provides a combination of real and virtual worlds and allows students to view the spatial relationship of real world objects that is impossible to be implemented in traditional textbooks. This study have two purposes: (1) to develop an augmented reality system to assist students solve the Rubik's cube and learn the geometry concepts of volume and surface area;and (2) to examine the effects of using the system in terms of students' improvement on spatial ability, geometry achievement, and attitudes toward learning. This paper presents a current course transformation program in which engineering faculty transform the design of their courses and teaching practices to improve learning supported by embedded experts. In this program, embedded experts are education experts who work with engineering faculty in transforming courses to address the needs of their students. This evaluation study investigates the outcomes of course transformations on engineering student achievement and teaching practices. This paper describes the design of a professional development workshop on integrating robotics at the elementary and secondary school curriculum. The workshop was designed to support STEM education through teacher education at the university and post-university level. Moreover, the workshop leveraged the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and an interdisciplinary approach to engage teachers with robotics.
