Under emergencies, reasonably guiding passenger flow can improve the transportation efficiency and minimize the impact of the accident on urban traffic operation. First of all, based on the psychological theory and the relevant information such as the choice preference of passengers, the passengers are classified to get the sensitivity difference of different potential mode passengers on the scheme attributes, which provides data support for path selection modeling and optimization. Secondly, the model with time index is established by using the data of the train and the passengers, and the model with comfort index is constructed by using the cubic polynomial fitting method. According to the utility maximization problem theory, the objective function including time and comfort index is constructed to provide the optimal path for different types of passengers. Finally, a case study of partial rail transit lines in Beijing is presented. The results show that, in the case of emergency, by analyzing the behavior preference of passenger's path selection, the passengers can be classified, and a more suitable route can be provided for each type of passengers, which can improve the time utilization ratio, and passengers' perception of the train's comfort. © 2025 SPIE.

In this study, the reasearch is focused on the simulation of vehicular communication networks, especially intelligent traffic systems, to enhance dependability, safety, and optimality in communication. The simulation is performed using the OMNeT++ simulator and is integrated with the Veins framework that uses the IEEE 802.11p protocol for V2V and V2I communications. Importing real-world traffic scenarios into the framework is obtained via the use of SUMO through TraCIScenarioManager. Other features of the framework include the definition of mobility models, dynamic obstacles, and detailed radio propagation modeling. TraCIDemo11p is used for mobility and communication by both RSUs and vehicles with applications in beaconing and channel switching. The whole framework analyzes smart traffic management solutions, providing as much insight into their performance based upon the communication reliability and overall efficiency in vehicular networks. © 2025 IEEE.

Recently, machine learning and various feature selection techniques have become popular for understanding the relationship between genes, molecular pathways, and diseases. Integrating existing domain knowledge into biological data analysis has demonstrated considerable potential for finding new biomarkers with translational uses. This paper presents PathDisGene, an innovative machine-learning tool that integrates existing domain knowledge by utilizing a Grouping-Scoring-modeling (G-S-M) approach to discover associations among gene-pathway-disease. The first step in PathDisGene is the grouping component that associates genes according to their biological associations with diseases and pathways. This component uses the Comparative Toxicogenomics Database (CTD). Subsequently, the scoring component is applied to score each group and the highest-ranked groupings are then used to train the classifier. We test PathDisGene on ten GEO datasets and demonstrate its performance, where most of them are with high accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and AUC values across various diseases. The tool's capacity to recognize new pathway-disease associations and uncover connections between pathways and diseases along their associated genes underscores its potential as a significant asset in promoting precision medicine and systems biology. © 2025 by SCITEPRESS– Science and Technology Publications, Lda.

Distributed photovoltaic is becoming more and more favored by enterprises, but its installed capacity has plagued companies. This paper first studies the influencing factors of power load in enterprises. An enterprise electricity load forecasting model based on the Hidden Markov (HMM) model was developed. Then, the Gaussian-CNN-GRU model is used to establish the photovoltaic power generation prediction method. Finally, based on the results of load and PV power generation prediction, a complementary matching index between distributed PV and load is constructed, which improves the power generation efficiency and energy utilization of PV systems, reduces the dependence on traditional energy sources, lowers greenhouse gas emissions and environmental pollution, and helps to realize the efficient use of green energy and sustainable development. © 2024 IEEE.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly impacted the field of healthcare by advancing medical diagnostics and decision-making processes. This paper presents a unified framework that integrates Convolutional Multi-Layer Perceptrons (Conv MLP), Convolutional Neural Networks (ConvNet), and Vision Transformers (ViTs) to address two critical tasks: sentiment analysis of medical reports and medical image recognition. By leveraging the distinct strengths of each architecture, the proposed hybrid model improves performance, effectively balancing computational efficiency, localized feature extraction, and global dependency modeling. The findings demonstrate that the model reduces task-specific errors and enhances convergence rates, achieving superior results in sentiment and image recognition tasks. This study advances the field of medical AI by overcoming the limitations of single-architecture models and establishing the feasibility of hybrid systems for robust, multi-modal applications. © 2025 IEEE.

The increasing demand for effective methods to recognize digital handwritten Arabic text has led to the creation of numerous online Arabic manuscript datasets to validate handwriting recognition systems. This tendency has been intensified, especially after the increasing use of devices dependent on digital pen writing, which requires continuous development to achieve an advanced stage of discrimination. This research aims to resolve the confusion problem in choosing a convenient open-source dataset that researchers can use to develop and examine handwriting recognition methods. This paper provides inclusive benchmarking of available and state-of-the-art online Arabic manuscript datasets and their unique features. It also provides a brief overview of the preprocessing and feature extraction methods used in the most important research. Research findings include identifying the most efficient databases and providing recommendations for future use. © 2025 SPIE.

This paper is concerned with a set of independent jobs in a permutation flow shop that have setup times on a set of machines. The M-IAIS algorithm, which is based on immunoglobulins and has been modified, is designed to reduce the makespan. A unique procedure known as B cell repertoire updating, which comprises size C of jobs that are taken out of the sequence and reinserted into all possible positions of the remaining sequences of jobs, has an impact on the M-IAIS algorithm's performance. To increase the convergence velocity, three iterations of the algorithm are suggested. Thorough testing was done, and the three versions' performances on a set (benchmark) are compared. Problem instances are described in Sistemas de Optimizacion Aplicada (http://***/problem-instances) In the paper, percentage deviation is considered to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithms. Furthermore, the ensuing outcomes demonstrate its suitability for addressing for the Permutation Flow Shop Scheduling Problem with Sequence Dependent Setup Times. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents the development and creation of a system for measuring length with temperature compensation. The measuring system serves for the final dimensional control of the quality of the product. It is a necessary condition to ensure the conformity of the product with the dimensional values given in the technical drawing. The solution for the case of the product condition with temperature expansion is a measuring system, which has integrated temperature compensation. This means that every time, in addition to the measurement, it also measures the temperature of the product and takes into account the appropriate correction factor for the calculation of the actual value. This allows user to obtain standardized measurement results independent of the temperature of the product at the time of measurement. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

This study proposes an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) system that combines computer vision object identification technology with laser positioning technology to increase the automation level and lower the expenses associated with developing infrastructure for unmanned farms. This system includes full-sphere perception, autonomous trip planning, and automatic return-to-home functionalities. The STM32F4 and Raspberry Pi are employed by the UAV system as the primary control chip and microcomputer system, respectively. The flight control system receives instructions for conducting flying actions based on information from the laser radar regarding its location and target detection data from the microcomputer system. As compared to conventional greenhouse automated spraying systems, which need expensive pipeline construction and maintenance costs, the suggested UAV system can significantly lower costs while attaining comparable spraying effectiveness. © 2023 IEEE.
