Blockchain-based DAOs and governance frameworks have emerged, however limited research has been done on the governance foundations of blockchain networks. In blockchain networks decisions are made through a collaborative and consensus building design mechanism. Such a governance process is complex, dynamic, and challenging. This paper presents blockchain governance design from a computer science perspective. We do so by exploring concepts such as decentralization, blockchain governance, Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) and a novel modeling approach on blockchain governance namely DECENT. In this paper, we presented why conceptual modeling is a design requirement for blockchain governance. Researchers can use the DECENT modeling approach as a reference framework for blockchain governance design, such as empirical and comparative case studies.

Stream-based monitoring is a runtime verification approach for cyber-physical systems that translates streams of input data, such as sensor readings, into streams of aggregate statistics and verdicts about the safety of the running system. It is usually assumed that the values on the input streams represent fully accurate measurements of the physical world. In reality, however, physical sensors are prone to measurement noise and errors. These errors are further amplified by the processing and aggregation steps within the monitor. This paper introduces RLOLA, a robust extension of the stream-based specification language LOLA. RLOLA incorporates the concept of slack variables, which symbolically represent measurement noise while avoiding the aliasing problem of interval arithmetic. With RLOLA, standard sensor error models can be expressed directly in the specification. While the monitoring of RLOLA specifications may, in general, require an unbounded amount of memory, we identify a rich fragment of RLOLA that can automatically be translated into precise monitors with guaranteed constant-memory consumption.

Nowadays speech-driven interfaces such as mobile digital assistants and chatbots can support collaborative information seeking and are becoming increasingly commonplace. Especially, mobile dialogue assistants offer innovative approaches to deliver and access information and thus, display a promising approach to assist humans in their opinion building process. Still, due to the complexity of argumentative tasks mobile argumentative speech interfaces are still very scarce. Hence, the effect of such interfaces on a user's opinion building process is quite unexplored. In this paper, we investigate the influence of such interfaces on the interest and opinion building process of users. Both categories Therefore we introduce two (I/O) modalities (menu/speech) of the argumentative dialog system (ADS) BEA ("Building Engaging Argumentation" [2]) which enables the user to scrutinize arguments on both sides of a controversial topic. In particular, we reflect on the influence and advantages of a spoken hands-free versus a clickable drop-down menu-based ADS with regard to "mobile" dialog systems use cases. Therefore the users' expectations and experiences in a self-assessment questionnaire are evaluated and discussed in comparison to our user interest and opinion model.
